Once again we witness Church shepherds
in Rome inflicting unnecessary wounds on their flock. See "Vatican: Benedict XVI's Words Were
Manipulated" (Zenit, 12/22/2010). This comes from the
Congregaion for the Doctrine of the Faith, of which the Pope was Head
before his election to the Papacy. In this statement we are drawn
once again to "...Pope Paul VI in
paragraph 14 of his encyclical letter 'Humanae Vitae'...."
And, once again, please read
my offering which inaugurated this series, entitled #1.
Does this reflect a continuing effort by highly placed Church Hierarchy
to subvert the efforts of their Pope to pursue a long-overdue "aggiornamento" begun by Pope John
XXlll in Vatican Council ll? As I have said before, the Church
needs, should seek and should embrace advice from its Laity: The Body of the Church.
