And then there is the sclerosis of Catholic Church leadership in the face of an actual Schism within both the Clergy and the Laity (the Body of the Church") as active participation goes down from  over 70% to less than 18%. I respect Pope Francis...but I am disappointed. He seems to have settled into a place-holder role, certainly not what is needed now.
