WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CATHOLIC CHURCH #226
"SHOULD LAYPEOPLE INVESTIGATE CARDINALS?"
That is the subject of an extended article appearing in the October 28 edition of National Catholic Register, by Judy Roberts.
Its
subtitle: "Planned 'Red Hat Report' Proposes to Provide Information on
How Prelates Have Addressed Clergy Sexual Abuse, Other Key Issues."
Although
I am convinced that the Laity ("the Body of the Church") must play a
key role in the rehabilitation of a seriously wounded Church, I don't
yet know how that role should be achieved...except that the process
should begin at the local, grass-roots level and with the
non-judgmental involvement of the parish priests.
Now: Let The Process Begin.
