campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.

Kamala Harris Attempts to Lie Her Way into the Presidency
September 26, 2024
Harris Is Playing an Old Familiar Tune
Four years ago, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris
took control of the White House by campaigning on lies about the state
of the economy under Donald Trump.
We had just been through one of the sharpest economic slumps in U.S.
history, largely due to the pandemic lockdowns. But by the fall of
2020, the economy was recovering rapidly. After plunging in the second
quarter of 2020, growth rebounded far better than almost anyone had
predicted, with the economy expanding at an annual rate of 33.4 percent.
That was the fastest growth by a wide margin in data going back to
1947. Although establishment economists and pundits mocked the
prediction of a "V-Shaped" recovery by Larry Kudlow, Trump's chief
economic adviser, that's exactly what unfolded. In the final quarter of
the year, the economy continued to expand rapidly, growing at an annual
rate of 4.3 percent.
Not only was the U.S. economy recovering, our recovery was stronger
than that of other developed countries that had also dealt with the
pandemic and lockdowns. The emergency economic programs put in place by
the Trump administration, with bipartisan support in Congress, were
wildly successful.
Yet Biden and Harris persisted in making the demonstrably false claim
that the economy was in ruins and that what they claimed was Trump's
mismanagement of the pandemic was responsible. They never really got
around to explaining what they would have done differently—except
sometimes to hint that they thought Trump should have imposed stricter
lockdowns and longer restrictions on economic activity—much less how
the economy might have fared better.

This created a dilemma for Biden and Harris when they arrived in the
White House. Allowing the economy to continue to recover under
normalized fiscal policies would have amounted to an admission that
they had deceived the public about the state of the economy. What's
more, the Democrat leadership had constituencies and agendas to pursue,
and the crisis appeared to provide an historic opportunity for a huge
expansion of government.
So, Biden and Harris let loose the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan
almost as soon as they set foot in the Oval Office. They had planned to
follow this up with trillions of dollars of more spending but were
stymied as the reality of escalating deficits and inflation amid
economic growth and falling unemployment set in.
Harris in Pittsburgh: Relentless Repeating Lies
It should not come as a surprise, then, that Harris is attempting to
run the same playbook against Trump this year. In a speech this week at
the Economic Club of Pittsburgh, Harris once again attempted to savage
the economic record of Donald Trump and promote the Biden-Harris
policies—little changed in substance but now rebranded as her own broad
economic vision—as a pragmatic, pro-business program that would revive
America's industrial might.
“From our earliest days, America’s economic strength has been tied to
our industrial strength,” Harris said in what was billed as a major
economics campaign speech on Wednesday. “The same is true today. So I
will recommit the nation to global leadership in the sectors that will
define the next century.”
The problem for Harris is that this is much less plausible in 2024 than
it was four years ago. For one thing, we now have a record of the
economy created by the Democrats' policies. Inflation rising to the
highest level in four decades and then persisting at elevated levels
for years will be the hallmark of the administration. But we can add to
that the striking failure of the Biden-Harris version of industrial
policy to achieve any visible success.
Harris has frequently claimed that the economy added 800,000
manufacturing jobs since Biden became president. But that's a
sleight-of-hand. In fact, manufacturing employment is up just 147,000
from where it was before the pandemic. Over the past two years,
manufacturing employment has been essentially stagnant, despite
billions of subsidies poured into the sector by the Biden-Harris
administration through the Inflation Reduction Act and the CHIPS Act.
Real average weekly wages for manufacturing workers have fallen 2.7
percent since Biden and Harris took office.
And things are getting worse. Over the last three months, manufacturing
has contracted by 36,000 jobs. The Federal Reserve's recent decision to
cut interest rates by 50 basis points was driven, in part, by fear that
the labor market would continue to soften—especially for factory
workers.
It's no mystery why manufacturing employment has been stagnant and is
now falling. The Institute for Supply Management’s purchasing managers
index indicates that the sector has been in continuous contraction for
two years. Over the past two years, core capital goods orders have not
grown at all. The August 2024 figure reported on Thursday is actually
slightly below the August 2022 figure. Compared with the first eight
months of last year, core goods orders are up by a slight 0.3 percent.
Year-to-date, overall durable goods orders are down 1.3 percent
compared with last year.
Harris has also returned to the habit of lying about the Trump economy.
She claimed in her interview with MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle that
manufacturing jobs had declined by 200,000 under Trump even before the
pandemic, repeating a falsehood from her Pittsburgh speech. In fact,
factory jobs were up by 414,000 before the pandemic. And even if we
include the pandemic, the total decline under Trump never amounted to
200,000.
Another favorite Harris lie involves a report from Goldman Sachs that
found growth would be slightly lower in a Trump administration than a
Harris administration, largely because tighter border security would
restrict population growth. In Harris' telling at the Pittsburgh
speech, this became a forecast that the economy would shrink under
Trump and enter a recession. She liked that lie so much that she also
repeated it in the MSNBC interview.
Will Harris be able to lie her way into the White House a second time?
Harris and Biden are presiding over an economy that, despite low
unemployment, is regarded as rotten to most Americans. And most
Americans now look back warmly on the prosperity of the Trump years.
So, perhaps this time around deceit will not pave the path to power.

"ABORTION"? LET'S TALK ABOUT ABORTION.
"ABORTION". "A
PREMATURE BIRTH THAT OCCURS BEFORE THE FETUS CAN SURVIVE".
When done intentionally by the
mother, it is either a "killing" or "murder" of a human
being.
Human life occurs at the moment of
conception. Long gone are the days when "18 weeks' or 'Quickening"
were the accepted criteria for "human life" - out of ignorance.
Abortions have been with us since
the earliest days of the Holy Bible and its subjects.

for an excellent summary of the subject during the last several thousand
years.
The frequency of Abortions has
always been a marker for the level of Immorality in a population. It is at its
highest level now and since the breakdown of social order beginning in the
1960's. It has also tracked the drive for freedom and equality for women, the
developing weakness of men, and the confusion introduced by "gender".
"Roe v. Wade" never
declared Abortion legitimately to be Constitutional. It was from its passage
and since then until recently a travesty of Law, Morality and Medicine.
It's place under the Law should
reside in this Republic at the State level, despite its illigitimacy in
Morality and in Medicine, as long as large segments of the population continue
to support this irresponsibility. In no way is Abortion a right to "Health"
or to "self-control of a woman's own body". A woman's pregnant body
is no longer just "her own".
Nevertheless, even a large number of
Catholic women support that tripe and the Presidential candidate who drives
that position. What scandal!

Both women and men should accept
their equal responsibility for this issue - and for other ways of dealing with

UNDER THE RUBRIC "CATHOLIC CHURCH" OVER 25 YEARS.
1) I have followed the life and
teachings of Archbishop Chaput for many years, since he was Bishop of Denver,
Colorado. An EXCELENT PRIEST who definitely should have been a Cardinal...and
perhaps More.
2) I subscribe to his position for
the Church as "One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic" - and the Only True
Church.
3) I too have concerns about the
off-the-cuff remarks of Pope Francis...including a most recent one about
"choosing the lesser of two evils".
4) As one can see from the hundreds
of comments I have posted during the last 25 years on this web-site, I and
millions of other faithful Catholics have concerns and hopes for our
Church.
5) However, I believe that Pope
Francis is correct in insisting on and enabling Dialogue within the Church (eg.
"Synodaity") on issues dividing the Faithful. The alternative ("Pray,
Pay and Obey") would have decimated the Church even more than has
occurred in the last 50 years. And he must do even more regarding issues like:
non-abortifacient Contraception; the "Unitive Function of Sex" within
a committed married couple; a greater role for some divorced couples.
So: Let's Pray, Pay...and Pay It
Forward in Thanksgiving for being Catholics.

most Americans. But for me that soon changed as I saw the idiotic
leadership from Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and allowed by
President Bush. It got to the point that I could not utter Rumsfeld's name
without a little flourish: "HORSE'S ASS RUMSFELD". Now see a
recent article quoting Senator Joe Lieberman about the similar time: "In
Documentary, Joe Lieberman Expresses Regrets About Iraq War",
by Mark Pazniokas (in ctmirror, September 19, 2024). In late 1941,
FDR at least knew what he wanted to do - but could not, faced with a
totally isolationist electorate. Our current "leaders" have no
clue. And despite that, Harris now wants a Promotion!!

mediocre schooling, and especially to their phones and "social media"

2) Regarding "WELFARE".

Then consider this statement,
expressed by FDR in 1935. "
Continued dependence upon relief
induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the
national fiber. To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a
subtle destroyer of the human spirit."
AMEN.
3) Immigration into this country
should Always be controlled...and should Always protect current Americans
First.
4)America is likely to enter into a
Recession after the Election - Especially if Harris wins!
5) Once again, as through entire
History, humans take their troubles out on Jews.
A POX ON ALL YOUR HOUSES.
The Jewish people have earned - and
won multiple times - the right to exist as a Peoples and Nation, without even
considering that they were originally GIVEN THAT RIGHT BY GOD.
6) Iran and China are greater
dangers than Russia. They all must be dealt with pro-actively - instead of as
the Biden administration is pretending to do.
7) the massive Tech Companies
require independent oversight and some controls. The AI companies ABSOLUTELY
require the same.
8) What is going on with our
Military? I believe that it is NOT PREPARED for the world that is facing us. We
may pay a heavy price for that.
9) Yes, there is Global Warming.
Yes, human activities are contributing to that. And Yes, human activities
require Energy that can only be derived from Fossil Fuels, from Nuclear Energy,
from Wind, from Solar, from geologic sources, .... FROM ALL OF THAT, AT LEAST
FOR THE COMING DECADES.
Perhaps by that time the Earth will
have entered yet another Cooling Period.

LABOR DAY, 2024.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE A
LIFETIME MAKES.
In the 1930's, our
parents worked us through the Great Depression.
In the 1940's, our
relatives went to War and its aftermath.
In the 1950's, we
learned to "Duck and Cover".
In the early 1960's,
our family served our nation in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
In the later 1960's,
during the PACK OF LIES Vietnam War and the national riots, I felt constrained
to buy a shotgun to protect my family from potential riots.
In the 1970's, this
nation was in upheaval in the midst of Watergate, stagflation, mediocre
Presidential leadership, the growth of the earlier rioters into our First
Pandemic of Stupidity, and our requirement to take out a Home Loan in 1979 at
17% interest in order to finance our five children's education.
In the 1980's, we
lived through the depth of the Cold War.
In the 1990's, we
witnessed the first attack on the World Trade Center, a simmering world while
the White House boiled with passion - and the culmination with 9/11/2001.
Since then, as the
children and adults of the 1970' and 1980's were doing a poor job with the
recent two generations, we have experienced the current Second Pandemic of
Stupidity: Bush / Rumsfeld; Obama / Biden; Biden / Harris.
So: this Labor Day
there is not much to celebrate on a national level:
a waning and
embittered President;
a White House taken over by a gang
of Leftists bought and paid for by foreign billionaires;
a permanent bureaucracy whose major
components (CIA, FBI, DOJ)
have now been politicized;
the Rule of Law now taken over by
Lawfare in the service of suspect politics;
Politics and its claim to Justice -
Fair Elections - no longer viewed as fair by at least one-half the nation's
citizens;
Our "Education System" at
all levels;
And now: our Democratic Party
nominee for President - who received No Votes from American Citizens - and
could possibly become The President of the United States:
The Ding-Bat Kamala Harris.
As too few of us learned in typing
class:
"NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL GOOD
PERSONS TO COME TO COME TO THE AID OF THEIR COUNTRY."
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
