campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.

"America Is Often A Nation
Divided", by Karl Rove (in WSJ Opinion,
August 26-27, 2023, pA11).
The milk-toast title belies a very
long list of political hatred, division and violence that undergirds the
history of this American nation as much as does Manifest Destiny and E Pluribus
Unum and Purple Mountains' Majesty.
So let's We The People stay committed
to keeping ourselves informed and involved toward an American outcome.
For there is another possible
outcome. Adolph Hitler and the Nazis showed the world that on January 30, 1933
and fairly quickly thereafter.

recently on this subject, I suggest two of the best in my opinion.
"DID THE REPUBLICAN DEBATE TURN
ANYONE UP?", by Lance Morrow (in WSJ August 25,
2023, Opinion, pA15}.
This is a good diagnosis of America
Today. But the author is too pessimistic. He fails to give adequate
credence to the potent antibiotic which will be administered in November, 2024.
I believe we can get there without a Sepsis.
"ADULTS ON THE DEBATE STAGE",
by Kimberly Strassel, (in WSJ ibid, Opinion, pA13). Always an excellent
observer, Ms. Strassel's conclusions are in accord with my own - offered before
her's. So I'm in good company.

I was surprised to find Pence in a
break-out performance.
At this point in my opinion, and if
it isn't Trump, it's DeSantis or Pence for President and Haley or Scott for
Vice President.
My choice is still Trump, if there
is still Justice in our Judicial System.
Regarding Chris Christie, I observed
him for decades as a former New Yorker. He is substantial. But I view him
as
"Trump Heavy". so
why not stay with the real article - already proven in the
position.

I’m done watching Republicans lose
The
time for chirping from the sidelines is over. Tomorrow night is the
night we've been preparing for. It's our opportunity to reach millions
of voters who can join our movement and build a better future for this
country.
Talk is ineffective, and that's why my message has
been simple: 2024 is the time to put up or shut up. I will make this
clear on the debate stage tomorrow.
As a leader, your job is
to put the interests of the people you serve above your own political
gain. I've done that in Florida, and I've watched the American people
cry out for real leadership nationwide. I am looking forward to rising

The

- A book
recently reviewed in the WSJ (August 14, 2023) is entitled "THe Death
Of Public School". Wrong. Not death, but severe illness. The
treatment: a) Competition with other schools, Charter, Private,
Parochial...; b) Restructuring away from the current Fiefdom model; c)
Teacher informed choice regarding union membership or not; the proper
primacy of parents vs. teachers in the care and feeding of children.
- Artificial
Intelligence. Pay Attention. The life or job you save may be your own. Or
you may become a house pet for the robot.
- COVID
is back...to some extent. Pay attention; protect; test; vaccinate.
Remember: not only the acute infection, but also Long Covid!
- The
WSJ really has a Bad Case of Trump Derangement syndrome, with symptoms
appearing as articles nearly daily.
- In
addition to reflectIon throughout the entire newspaper, the NYTimes now
has a section entitled "OPINION". REALLY?
- Money
isn't Everything...not even close. See the coming "Battle"
between Zuckerberg and Musk...perhaps in the Coloseum - no less.
- The

- Let
There Be Lighthouses. See the column by Amanda Foreman in the WSJ (July

After a three year lapse from
vacations, I just returned from a 9 day vacation and tour of Colorado with my
son and family.
I strongly recommend such a
vacation, into the heart of this great nation...and away from its decadent news
and news-makers.

SO WHAT DID I MISS WHILE ENJOYING A GREAT PART OF THIS COUNTRY?
Not much, as it turns out. Certainly not much Truth or originality.
1) As with all dictators, V. Putin is a one-note song: all Power, no imagination. Like the husband who beats his wife.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is being given just enough to avoid defeat but not enough to achieve victory.
That will produce a festering wound for years to come.
2)
America no longer has an effective southern border, thanks to the
Democrats. Nor does it have effective means to deal with the millions
of illegal immigrants, while rats take over our cities and Malaria and
Leprosy make a come-back. It is no longer effective - or even accurate
- to blame such benighted policies on the Leftists. The entire
Democratic Party has embraced these policies...including the George
Soros goal of eliminating our criminal justice system.
3)
Chris Christie knows that he has no chance for the Republican
Presidential nomination - so he is betting everything against the
House. Entertaining, but no Hope.
4) The breakdown of social
order goes beyond the loss of truth-telling. See the WSJ article about
"Tank Tops, Toilet Trips and Lies...", (Exchange, August 5-6, 2023,
pB5). This is reminiscent of the Ad gracing the side of a Porta-Potty:
"WE'RE #1 IN #2".
5) The WSJ continues to break out in boils
from its "Trump Derangement Syndrome". See the Jeffrey Rosen article in
the Review section of the August 5-6, 2023 publication. At least the
condition is not fatal. We need the WSJ, since the NYTimes and the
Washington Post have imploded.
6) Has anyone else noticed how
the state of peoples' Mental Health, in the nation and in the streets,
has declined alarmingly? Finally someone else besides myself has said
the obvious: "It's Time to Bring Back Asylums", by David Oshinsky, ( in
WSJ Review, July 22 - 23, 2023, pC1).

OF GREAT INJURY TO THIS NATION.

ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?
I mean the Leftist and Left-leaning
newspapers (including The Day of New London, Ct.) with their blaring headlines
about President Trump being indicted on criminal charges "that could carry
the death penalty". To this gang we must add the WSJ, itself a long-time
and continuing victim of TRUMP DERANGMENT SYNDROME.
Does anyone of these hyenas know the
threshold requirements for a "Crime"? ACTUS REUS...AND
MENS REA.
Regarding the first requirement,
President Trump will be shown to have had NO intention toward an
"insurrection" - on January 6 or at any other time.
Regarding the second requirement,
his "mental state" and outlook will be shown to have been and to be
that the 2020 election was Stolen. In that conviction, he will have been and
will still be joined by many tens of millions of people who voted for him. I am
one of them.
It may take many years to prove that
theft. Meanwhile, the election "result" will continue to be the most
brazen and most consequential political act in American History.
There is a saying in Medicine which
is apt: "PIS AND PUS MUST COME OUT".
