Of course, as in military campaigns, a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that to "the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or military campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will always be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick", supported by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be pro-active. That's all I promise.

THIS I KNOW: PAST IS PROLOGUE.

And that is why, as we live through the mounting Failures of the *Biden Administration - in the Economy, in Immigration, in Law and Order, in Energy, in Global Warming, in International Relations, in Defense, in an Ethical Society - we must remember what the Trump Administration achieved in one term against massive, fake and contrived impediments presented by an unprincipled Democratic Party and by a pandemic of STUPIDS.

To assist in this recall, I offer particularly the article by William A. Galston published in the WSJ on November 14-15, 2020, entitled
"TRUMP REMADE HIS PARTY AND THE WORLD". That should be studied in its entirety: it's that good.

First, let me be clear about one thing. Although "Judge not, lest ye be judged", Donald Trump's approach to interpersonal relationships leaves a lot to be desired - even when he is not being incessantly and unfairly attacked. But the man has the right reflexes in dealing with a great nation and its people. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN".

He re-made the Federal Judiciary, adding two Justices to the U.S. Supreme Court and 53 Appellate Court Judges.
He demonstrated the actual legal scope of Presidential Power.
He reoriented the Republican Party toward Social Conservatism and Supply Side Economics.
He restored and increased American military power in a dangerous world.
He restored a needed balance in International Alliances.
He turned away from "endless wars" and a quest for wholesale "democracies" worldwide.
He directly supported the White Working Class, for which only lip service had been given - and he attracted those Black and Brown and Asian citizens who were finally smart enough to see the cynical ways of their supposed Democratic supporters.
He repudiated Open Trade with allies and adversaries alike - that benefited Wall Street to the detriment of working people - in favor of managed bilateral agreements benefiting all.
He aligned Immigration Policy to the benefit of the working class and not only Wall Street.
He recognized that "You cannot make a poor man rich by making a rich man poor", avoiding draconian "global warming measures" while China and the entire Third World ignored them.

And So: Donald Trump deserves our support as he works to help drive the cynical and deluded Democrat - Leftist cabal from the House of Representatives and from the Senate in November, 2022.

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: NOWHERE NEAR OVER!

And now would be a good time to revisit where we have been...in the process of having lost nearly one million fellow Americans to this infection.
As I reported recently, I have reviewed two excellent compilations of our experience to date:
"The Desperate Hours", by Marie Brenner; and
"Silent Invasion", by Dr. Deborah Birx.
In addition, please see my own Rapid Response offerings in this web site on the subject, having begun in February, 2020 and continuing uninterrupted since then...including in the Category entitled "Health Alerts". In fact, as early as February 29, 2020 I chose Dr. Birx as my particular expert source for information on the subject. Good choice, as you will see from reading her book. You will also be disappointed - although not surprised - at how deeply crass Politics had quickly entered into all the deliberations at the Federal (and also the very personal) level, to the confusion and detriment of the average American. You will also see how early I had diagnosed the pathophysiology of this infection - Inflamation Overload - and the optimum treatment - adrenocorticosteroids, particularly Dexamethasone (March 28, 2020). Unfortunately, this was not embraced by the experts - who were awaiting the results of their "double-blind cross-over studies" - until July, 2020 - to the further detriment of Americans.

There are and continue to be many heroic stories here, especially involving the health care providers in the trenches and the war-time footing employed to develop vaccines in record time.
But there are also many lessons to be learned about human nature run amok, as usual. WILL WE EVER LEARN??? We will surely have future opportunities / challenges.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LEARNED ANYTHING IN SCHOOL (EVEN COLLEGE) GREATLY VALUE FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE.
And they greatly resent unfairness and injustice, which is all that today's Democrats and Leftists offer up.
Unlike Antifa, BLM and the other Crazies and Stupids, they do not act out impotently...UNTIL THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH.
Meanwhile, they will wait to see and act in the elections of 2022 and 2024.
This nation has a great deal riding on the results of those elections - nearly as much as it had in the 1850's.

Well described and well-intentioned, this should remind us of another well-intentioned Federal action of decades ago: subsidizing new mothers and their babies for decades...IF there was no male in the house. What a disaster that has been, especially for our minority populations. Better to leave such important and vexing issues to the individual States, as Amendment X of the Constitution provid

"A Sensible Gun Safety Compromise", Guest Editorial from Tampa Bay Times, in The Day June 30, 2022. I agree, as noted in an earlier offering

"Explainer: Why Supreme Court's EPA-Climate Change Ruling Matters", by Matthew Daly, AP, July 1, 2022. This Holding is on a par with Roe: It works to restore the three Branches of Government by finally limiting the growth and usurpation of power by the unelected and self-perpetuating Administrative arm of the Executive Branch. That cannot be implemented too soon.

The Holding involving Native American Law is too complex in its ramifications for me to address. Suffice to say that my bias is for Native Americans, consistent with every Crime having a comparable legal response.

TIME FOR A NATIONAL EXAMINATION OF AMERICA IN THE WORLD.
In Medicine, this would be called a "Review of Systems".

China. America's most dangerous adversary...by its own power and by the paralyzing self-interest of American Business.
The nations of South-East Asia, including India and Pakistan: politically "sui generis" and "ad hoc", except for reliable Australia. For America's safety, this is a very important part of the world.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria: effectively client States of our most committed enemy, Iran. Our fire-wall in that region: Israel, Saudi Arabia and most of the other Gulf States.
Africa. A " jump-ball" with the seven foot Chinese against us and already under the net.
Turkey. A solid ally, if we are sensitive to the neighborhood it lives in.
The NATO nations, including the new ones: a solid bulwark against the ever-preening Russia - so long as we pay most of the bills.
Russia: The Rodney Dangerfield of the world: always seeking respect for its illusions of grandeur.
Central and South America. Increasing Socialism and worse...and the Monroe Doctrine be damned.

And then there is the Leftist - Democratic - Biden America: America's Greatest Danger, through its intentions, actions and inactions. Except for the underlying Idiocy, this might be considered Treason. The only bright spots are the recent Holdings by an awakened U.S. Supreme Court, thanks to the work of President Trump and his Republican supporters.
See the several excellent articles on this subject that appeared in the WSJ on July 1, 2022 (U.S. News, pA7).
And hopefully thanks to an awakened and motivated majority of Americans who are finally paying attention.
