RAPID
RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new
section. It will
offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.

THIS NATION IS MORE INSECURE AND AT GREATER RISK NOW THAN AT ANY TIME SINCE WWII.
And this time the dangers are - so far - mainly from within. Consider the following, in no specific order.
1) Fully half of our citizens have placed an asterisk after the term "President* Biden."
2) Conditions in our Economy begin to resemble 1973-1980.
3) There is No Border Security, with effects that will impact all of us for decades to come.
4) The COVID-19 Pandemic is Not over. And it is weakening our medical, emotional and economic health.
5) "Election Integrity" has been placed in broad suspicion. And strange proposals like "Ranked - Choice Voting" don't help.
6)
Equality of Opportunity and "Equity" of Results are being conflated -
but not by the general population, who know the difference.
7) "Racism" is alive - in the minds and methods some in the Black community and in their opportunistic "leaders".
8)
Schools and "education" are being undermined by teachers' unions and by
a generation of college "professors" who profess division instead of
open discussion - when free exchange of ideas is most needed.
9) "Cyber-Security" is an Oxymoron, including in areas (like the national electric grid) that can immobilize our nation.
10) Religions and the entire concept of Faith, foundational elements in this country, are being attacked.
11)
Health Care delivery, already at risk in terms of availability and
affordability before the Pandemic, has been further undermined by
disease, economics and politics.
12) Governance at the national
level is divided and ineffective, the result of the actions and
inactions of career politicians and their financial handlers, the
wholesale hand-over of legislative power to unelected and
self-perpetuating bureaucrats in massive Administrative agencies, and a
U.S. Supreme Court that has become politicized.
None of these conditions is incurable. But neither can any of them be ignored and simply "tolerated".
As
with an infection that is ignored or ineffectively treated. Such
inactions will lead to Septic Shock - a gross over-reaction by this
nation's Immune System: THE PEOPLE.

REGARDING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, ONE YEAR IN.
Please read and follow the recommendations in this Ct. Dept. of Public Health Update.
"The life you save may be your own"...or that of a loved one. That includes especially those fully vaccinated.
"NOW IS NOT THE END. IT IS NOT EVEN THE BEGINNING OF THE END. BUT IT IS, PERHAPS, THE END OF THE BEGINNING". (Winston Churchill, after the Battle of El Alamein, November 1942).

GS
This week’s updates for Connecticut Physicians, APRNs, PAs, and RNs: COVID-19
Epidemiology: COVID-19 case rates are rising in Connecticut, as is the
proportion of the B.1.1.7 variant, estimated to be at 40% of new cases.
•
Over 90% of Connecticut’s population lives in a “red alert” town. While
case rates have decreased among persons age 70 and older, they have
plateaued or increased among all other age groups. The 20–29 year old
age group has the highest case rate.
• The B.1.1.7 (“UK”)
variant continues to be the most prevalent variant across CT. This
variant spreads more efficiently than the “wildtype” SARS-CoV-2 virus
and has been found to be associated with increased mortality in the
UK.
• People who are not > 14 days past a full COVID-19
vaccine regimen are at increased risk for infection with COVID-19,
severe disease, and death.
• Vaccine breakthrough cases do
occur, as no vaccine is 100% effective. Vaccine breakthrough cases
should be treated as potentially infectious, and close contacts should
quarantine.
• Clinicians should report cases of
laboratory-diagnosed COVID-19 among individuals > 14 days past their
last dose of a full COVID-19 vaccination regimen.
COVID-19 Vaccines: ALL Connecticut residents > 16 years of age will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination on April 1.
•
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is the only COVID-19 vaccine with EUA for
individuals 16 and 17 years of age.
o 16/17-year-old children should only register for vaccination at sites offering Pfizer-BioNTech.
o
16 and 17 year-olds should have a parent/guardian present with them at
their vaccination appointment. Minors under age 18 cannot be
vaccinated by a healthcare provider without parental consent.
•
The Homebound Individual Intake Form can be completed for any
individual who is physically unable to go to a vaccination clinic.
These individuals must also have no prior history of anaphylaxis or
severe allergic reaction requiring the use of an epinephrine
auto-injector (e.g., EpiPen).
COVID-19 Control Measures: With
spring break and Easter holidays approaching, travelers should follow
recommendations outlined in Connecticut’s Travel Advisory, which is
consistent with CDC Travel recommendations.
• Interim public health guidance for fully vaccinated people can be found here.
•
If visiting with high-risk, unvaccinated people, all COVID-19 control
measures (masking, physical distancing, hand-washing) should be
implemented even if all visitors are fully vaccinated.
•
When possible, visits should be held outdoors or in well-ventilated
areas. CDC recently updated guidance on ventilation in non-healthcare
settings which can help with decisions on ventilation strategies.
COVID-19 Testing:
•
COVID-19 vaccination does not affect SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic
(molecular/PCR or antigen) testing. Vaccinated individuals with
COVID-19 symptoms should isolate and get tested if indicated.
A
positive antibody test could indicate either previous infection or
vaccination. An antibody test should not be used to assess immunity to
COVID-19 or the need for vaccination in an unvaccinated person.
Reminder
about childhood vaccinations: With the disruption of both in-person
learning and routine well-child visits due to COVID-19, childhood
vaccination rates have declined. Healthcare providers are encouraged to
identify and follow up with families whose children have missed doses
to get appointments scheduled.
Learning resources to share. IPC
(Infection Prevention and Control) practices remain the best defenses
against the spread of COVID-19. CDC’s new infection control training
collaborative, Project Firstline, helps frontline healthcare workers
gain an understanding of infection control principles and confidence to
implement protocols.
CT DPH Provider Call-In: As this Friday is
a state holiday, there will be no Provider Call-in this week. Please
join us on April 9 for our next session.
Sincerely,
Vivian Leung, MD

READERS OF THESE OFFERINGS WILL HAVE NOTICED MY "LOVE / DISLIKE" RELATIONSHIP WITH WSJ.
This
is especially true after its editors evidently decided that Donald
Trump was going to "lose" the election, and acted accordingly for a
group who have long taken as gospel the dictum of "Engine Charlie
Wilson":
"The Business of America is Business", whatever it takes.
So this is not for the WSJ itself.
It is for you, my readers, who have been in forced isolation for over a year. And that is taking its toll on all of us.
That's why the WSJ, and especially the Saturday-Sunday edition, is so valuable as antidote to "squash-rot".
Example: the Saturday / Sunday (March 27-28, 2021) edition, where you can find the following:
1) an article on Alfred Hitchcock;
2) a great article on Ernest Hemingway;
3) an article on Katherine Hepburn;
4) "The Unraveling of Tony Hsieh";
5) "No Exit After Kristallnacht";
6) "'Jim Eagle' And Georgia's Voting Law";
7)
An article on the latest example of the "EU", an America wanna-be
trying ineffectively to hobble together the very disparate nations of
Europe - and currently failing in its continuing approach to the
Pandemic.
Of course there is more, much more. But this is a Show very much worth the price of admission.

TUESDAY through FRIDAY, March 23 through 26, 2021
REMINISCENT OF THE JEWS OF THE BIBLE, ESPECIALLY AT THIS TIME,
we Americans are entering our four years in the DESERT.
The
eight years with Obama were not good. But then we had not experienced
how good for America things could be...with a moral compass and common
sense and courage. Those were the Trump years despite the Democrat
treachery. The air-heads and pot-heads...and their unreasonably
hopeful parents who may have elected Biden and the Leftists (still not
proven) will have ample opportunity to see the error of their ways by
2022 and 2024.
But between now and then we are in for a lot of
discomfort and very likely real danger, as our adversaries and also
some of our "allies" see opportunity in our distractions.
What follow are observations and developments that we can already see and follow with concern.
1)
Amendment 1 of the Bill of Rights is the MOST IMPORTANT. With its
foundational rights an informed populace can defend itself from attacks
on the other 9 collective rights. And of course that is always the
first to be attacked by Despots and Totalitarians...which are of course
what our Leftists and the Democratic fellow-travelers are.
The current embodiment of that is "Cancel Culture" and the actions massive Tech companies to censor our communication. This must be opposed and attacked at all levels. See the article in Imprimis on this subject. Read it and weep; and then get very Angry. ("Who Is In Control? The Need To Rein In Big Tech", by Allum Bokhari (in Imprimis January 2021, Hillsdale.edu. )
2) The Immigration debacle: a dangerous experiment from which nothing good will come.
3) Our Children and the Covid-19 Pandemic: at least one year lost...hopefully not a life-time of Attitude.
4)
There is room for reasonable controls on the implementation of
Amendment 2. But don't try to make it a Trojan Horse. There are
hundreds of millions of Americans who have guns "just for
self-protection". Don't threaten them.
5) "...all men are created Equal". That's Equality of Opportunity...NOT "Equity" of result. That has to be earned!.
6)
The leaders of the Catholic Church have a facility for self-inflicted
wounds. More recent ones include overlooking the vital importance
of a pro-Abortion stance in some of our political leaders...and most
recently refusing to give a blessing to LGBT couples...those who are
trying to live their lives quietly and without scandal. As my father
used to say: "There Is A God In Every Person".
7)
The Profession of Policing (yes, Profession, dealing intimately
with people) requires the same attention that the Medical Profession
required and received in the very early 20th century in the Flexner
Report.
In these "times that try men's souls", I find direction in the words of St. Augustine of Hippo:
"Pray as if it all depends on God. Work as if it all depends on you".

"INFORMATION IS POWER". AND THE REVERSE IS ALSO TRUE.
So here is more and continuing information about the status of the COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
1)
"...insufficient data to recommend..." Lack of data is not data of
lack. The Scientists need more humility when dealing with their
Clinician colleagues. Good Luck with that.
2) COVID -19
re-infections are rare, but they do occur, especially in the elderly.
We should all be alert to this possibility. And the differential
diagnosis between this and other respiratory illnesses is often not
easy.
3) A www.medpagetoday article by zdoggmd, dated March 16, 2021, is entitled: "Op-Ed: Did We Hurt Healthcare Workers With Bad Mask Advice".
It seems that was the case, as we "followed the science" instead of
heeding common sense. The "super-spreaders" were not in the ICU, where
highly effective protection was used...but in the ED and other hospital
areas, where less effective or ineffective modalities were used.
4)"When Will It Be Safe To Travel After Getting The COVID-19 VACCINE?" NOT NOW, NOT YET!
5) An article in medscape.com reports that examining asymptomatic
adults for COVID-19 would add another 16 million cases to the number of
infections in the U.S. That would double the number of clinically
diagnosed cases.
6) A Reuters article in medlinx.com notes
that "Blood type A was associated with a greater risk of severe
SARS-CoV-2 in one recent study and a higher risk of contracting the
disease in another."
7) An article in medscape.com reports "AZ
Vaccine Safe Overall But Questions Remain Over Unusual Clots", notably
the very severe "Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) and
Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST). Here again remember: "POST HOC, ERGO PROPTER HOC" is poor logic. But questions also continue regarding the overall effectiveness of the Oxford/AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine.
So: would I take that vaccine if I were in a high impact area? Yes. Remember "Risk To Benefit Analysis".
Wow.
This is becoming a full-time part-time job. But, with reports of as
many as 40% of persons unsure about taking the vaccine, and trusting
their personal physician over the CDC / NIH scientists, I accept the
responsibility to stay current and knowledgeable.

Senate RINOs are calling it quits!
Senators
Richard Burr (R-NC), Rob Portman (R-OH), Pat Toomey (R-PA), Dick Shelby
(R-AL), and Roy Blunt (R-MO) have all announced their retirements –
dealing a major blow to the Republican establishment's inner circle.
The
mainstream media believes these departures are a loss for the
Republican Party, but they actually create a unique opportunity to
replace weak Republicans next year with strong conservatives who will
truly fight for our principles and values.
In addition to these open seats, there are also vulnerable Democrats on the ballot in Arizona, Georgia, and New Hampshire.
But
electing rock-solid conservatives in these states won't be easy.
Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and his allies are already working to
recruit candidates who will maintain business as usual.
Please help elect true conservative leaders to the U.S. Senate by supporting the Senate Conservatives Fund today!
President Trump is right. Supporting RINOs is pointless.
But
that's what the GOP establishment and their political committees do.
They're even supporting pro-impeachment Republicans like Senator Lisa
Murkowski (R-AK).
Now is the time for conservatives to make 2022 an earthquake election like 2016 that weakens the political establishment.
We
can do it, but only if we take early action to recruit and fund strong
conservative candidates ahead of the primary elections next year.
You can help by making a one-time or monthly contribution to the Senate Conservatives Fund.
No other conservative group has upset the Senate GOP establishment more than SCF.
We're
a real threat to the Senate power-brokers because they know they can't
buy us off like many other so-called conservative groups and because we
put real money behind the candidates we endorse.
Your
support is so important that if you give $25 or more, we will send you
a copy of Senator Josh Hawley's upcoming book, The Tyranny of Big Tech,
as a way to thank you for your support.
Please take action right now and help us take advantage of the opportunities in 2022 to build a conservative Senate.
Thank you for considering this important request and for doing so much to help fight for America's future.

And
then there is "Dexamethasone", a corticosteroid which took four months

MY CURRENT BOTTOM LINES REGARDING WHERE WE ARE IN THE PANDEMIC - AND WHAT TO DO:
1) UNLESS YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC ALLERGY HISTORY NOTED HERE, GET THE VACCINE ASAP, PREFERRABLY THE TWO-DOSE VACCINE.
2)
IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF AN ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION TO A PRIOR VACCINE,
OR A DIAGNOSIS OF "MULTIPLE MEDICATION SENSITIVITY SYNDROME," DELAY FOR
A FEW WEEKS WHILE A POSSIBLE CONNECTION TO POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL ALLERGY
IS INVESTIGATED.
3) EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED AT
LEAST TWO WEEKS EARLIER, AVOID CROWDS AND AIR TRAVEL FOR SEVERAL
MONTHS. AND MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE STILL GOOD IDEAS.
4)
SCHOOL CHILDREN ARE A SPECIAL CASE. FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE AND EXPERIENCE
OF SO MANY PRIVATE SCHOOLS THAT HAVE SUCCESSFULLY AND SAFELY REMAINED
OPEN THROUGHOUT THE PANDEMIC. WE HAVE NOT YET RECOGNIZED THE ADVERSE
EFFECTS ON CHILDREN, OF WHICH THE LOSS OF AT LEAST A YEAR OF SCHOOLING
IS A MINOR PART.
5) BOTH FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FOR SOCIETY, OUR APPROACH AND DECISIONS NEED TO BE BASED ON A RISK-TO BENEFIT ANALYSIS.
6) AND THEN THERE IS THE INFORMATION IN THIS ARTICLE. WE ARE FAR FROM FINISHED WITH THIS PANDEMIC.

REGARDING GOVERNOR ANDREW CUOMO...
I was never a fan of this man, although I as a New Yorker admired his father and the job he did for New York State.
The son has always been too much a Liberal partisan, regardless of what the times required.
But I am a supporter of Justice,
as embedded in Amendments 4-8 of the U.S. Constitution to protect
"life, liberty and property". "J'Accuse", the famous words of Emil Zola
uttered against the French Government in 1898 were in defense of
Alfred Dreyfus - not as a Summary Judgment in unsupported sexual
misconduct allegations by anyone with a possible ax to grind.
And so, I support Governor Cuomo's right to be considered "innocent until proven guilty"...in
the nursing home COVID issue and in the current sexual misconduct
allegations. If a duly elected public servant can be run out of town on
the basis of unsupported allegations and Cancel Culture...where do you
think that places the rest of us at any time in a future devoid of our
Constitutional protections?

TUESDAY through FRIDAY, March 9 through 12, 2021
SO MANY ISSUES. SO LITTLE TIME.
But of course I'll do my best.
1)
Receiving Vaccines, any vaccines based upon personal risk, is a GOOD
THING. "Anti-Vaxers" are just plain emotional and/or stupid. They are
also irresponsible as related to childhood vaccinations, which
inactions put all the others at risk. They should be made to pay for
this; eg. mandatory home-schooling.
2) In a Pandemic such as the
present one, Everyone should receive a COVID-19 vaccine, barring a
scientific reason not to - of which there are very few.
3)
Then come the issues of Production and Distribution. The Production
"WARP SPEED" effort and actuality of the Trump administration was
totally successful should be highly praised. The Distribution/
Availability has been fumbled and politicized - and should be taken to
task at the local and State levels. A particularly pithy reaction on
this subject should be read: "Op-Ed: The Ethics Of Vax Schemes and
Schemers", by Arthur Caplan, PhD and Kyle Ferguson, PhD (in
medpagetoday.com, March 9, 2021).
4) And now, what can you do
after vaccination? The CDC has come out with various proposals, both
complex and variable. My advice: the proposals are too broad. Take your
time and use common sense. Once again during this Pandemic year, the
scientists and "scientists" are waxing political.
5) Regarding
the entire issue of "Lock-Downs", a matter of contention from the
outset, the Medical / Scientific professions have also been divided.
See the opinions of Dr. Atlas and Dr. Bhattacharya, both of Stanford
Medical School, as well as the Great Barrington Declaration (with over
50,000 medical and scientific signatories). This debate is all the more
poignant as we see the serious adverse economic and personal effects of
those actions, affecting all of our children and at least 40% of our
adults.
6) And "Lest We Forget": the totally self-dealing
Teachers Unions. For more, much more on this disgrace, see the section
entitled "Public Education Politics" on my web-site.
7) Regarding "Death with Dignity", aka "Assisted Suicide": Another Abomination...like Abortion.
See two articles:
a)
"Assisted Suicide Lobby Spreads Falsehoods To Promote Systemic
Ableism", by Stephen Mendelsohn (in ctmirror.org, March 8, 2021);
b)
"Ireland's Bishops Call Dying With Dignity Bill 'Fundamentally Flawed"
(in cruxnow.com, March 11, 2021). This article has the advantage of
dissecting the many errors and problems included in a piece of
legislation now before the Ireland leaders.
8) Beware "Boom to Bust". We have seen the likes of the current stock market before: in 1929, 1987, 2008.
Our
current Federal Legislature, despite the narrowest of margins between
serious differences in political and economic positions, is proceeding
headlong into a likely abyss for the nation. These are not "drunken
sailors". They are INSANE!. See also "When The Boom Turns To Bust", by
Andy Kessler (WSJ March 8, 2021, Opinion, p15).
9)This is
especially true given the challenge of China. This threat, in all its
forms, is much greater than that posed by the USSR at the height
of the Cold War. And who do we have "leading" us?
A so-far illegitimate President* Biden.

Here is one, on the critical difference between "EQUITY" AND "EQUALITY".
This is a MUST-READ for anyone who wants to protect the Basics of America from the current existential attack.

You
and I can’t prevent every candidate’s mistakes, but we can train them
to stop saying dumb things that get them in trouble for no good reason.
You know where I discovered the joy of annoying liberals?
My beloved alma mater, Cornell University.
There
I became the editor of our conservative student paper, the Cornell
Review. Our paper reported facts and offered opinions that were
upsetting to liberals.
They responded by issuing rebuttals to our
articles and editorials in the Daily Sun, in classrooms and lecture
halls -- JUST KIDDING!
The liberals systematically destroyed copies
of our newspaper, harassed our advertisers, and staged demonstrations.
Yes -- over a newspaper.
One of our greatest challenges was learning to restrain laughter in the face of sobbing co-eds.
Most
fun was the hate mail. You either like hate mail or you don’t, and it
turns out I love it. As Mao said, “It is a good thing, not a bad thing,
to be attacked by the enemy.”
After a brief and little-lamented
sojourn into practicing law, I’ve managed to make a career out of my
hobby of annoying liberals.
Not by calling them names. (Well, maybe sometimes...) But by telling the truth about them.
I call out their woke idiocies, hypocritical and self-serving agendas, and ridiculous double standards.
Conservatives engaging in free speech is terribly frightening to the left.
Who
can blame them? All the poor little darlings have to fight back with is
the left’s hegemonic control of Hollywood, Silicon Valley, the
universities, the mainstream media, Wall Street, and the Deep State.
No wonder they want to censor conservatives!
I was kind of hoping COVID would shut down the universities. But no, they live on.
That’s
why we need a lot more brave young conservatives speaking out. And what
better place to find them than at today’s college and universities?
Not all college students are craven idiots.
There
are plenty who don’t like what’s going on at their campuses today any
more than I did in my day. They don’t identify themselves by their
race, gender, or genitalia. They don’t vandalize statues of our
Founding Fathers. They don’t believe men can be women. And they enjoy
driving liberals nuts.
So, let’s find them! Let’s work with them and
help them dig up the truth of what’s going on at their schools. Then
let’s help them spread the word.
This is not a pipe dream.
Once
they get a taste of exposing the truth about the campus left, many of
them will like it. As with other Leadership Institute grads, they may
make it a career!
Some will go on to become journalists, activists, or elected officials, standing up for our conservative beliefs.
In fact, it’s happening right now. Your special support will make it happen a whole lot more.
But
they can’t do it alone. And you know who’s at the center of the
resistance to campus leftist tyranny? A great conservative organization
called the Leadership Institute. (LI for short)
I think the world of the Leadership Institute, and I’m eager to introduce you to them. I think you’ll like them as much as I do.
For more than 40 years, the Leadership Institute has trained and inspired new generations of conservative leaders. Like moi.
Before
I took the editor’s job at the Cornell Review, I attended LI’s Student
Publications School. There I learned what I needed to know to run a
newspaper and find the stories that liberals wanted to hide.
Will
you support my friends at the Leadership Institute as they help young
conservatives dig up the truth of what’s going on at their schools?
Believe
me, the Leadership Institute folks know their stuff. Their training
programs not only teach conservatives the skills to take on the college
left but give them a sense of camaraderie and fun in doing so.
The Leadership Institute has trained more than 230,700 conservatives over the years.
• Dozens of LI grads, like me, tackle the left through the news media.
•
Today, 31 LI-trained conservatives currently serve in the U.S.
Congress, and hundreds -- more than 300! -- serve in state legislatures.
•
Thousands more LI grads fight the good fight on campaigns, in
conservative organizations, and in every walk of life where they uphold
conservative principles.
There’s no other group quite like the
Leadership Institute. Times have changed since my days in college, of
course. But the Leadership Institute has kept up.
Nowadays the
Leadership Institute doesn’t just help aspiring conservative
journalists run their student papers like I did. Rather, they help
those young reporters investigate and expose leftist abuses for the
entire country to see.
Thanks to the internet, the Leadership
Institute now has a tool to battle the left’s collegiate insanity. It’s
a highly popular website called Campus Reform.
LI’s Campus Reform
provides serious exposure for stories dug up by college students. Would
that I’d had that kind of reach for my Cornell Review stories!
Because these Campus Reform stories are online, burning newspapers doesn’t work anymore. Poor dears.
Campus Reform delivers a one-two punch to two of the left’s biggest strongholds: college campuses and the news media.
•
Punch one: Campus Reform’s Correspondents expose the stupidity run amok
at America’s colleges and universities. There’s a lot to expose.
•
Punch two: Campus Reform publishes the stories the mainstream media
won’t touch. And Leadership Institute-trained reporters go on to become
“real world” reporters themselves, where they do great work for years
to come.
Right now, more than 130 Leadership Institute Campus Correspondents are on the job at colleges across the country.
These
terrific young investigators uncover the ugly facts about the left on
their campuses and on many others nearby. They get the facts out and
win real victories again and again.
Once these Campus Correspondents
write for the Campus Reform website, their stories often spread like
wildfire, exposing the controversies that force schools to change.
Since
2014, Campus Reform reporting has achieved 218 victories over the
lunatics of the campus left. That means foolish policies revoked and
abusive professors and administrators punished or fired. There have
even been reforms to protect the single greatest threat to liberalism:
free speech.
And oh my, do the university lefties hate Campus Reform!
One
leftist warned liberal professors to be careful: “Campus Reform has the
plan, funding, and resources to ensure what you say at 3pm is on Fox
News by 8pm!”
Will you help my Leadership Institute friends keep it
up? Your support today will help their Campus Reform team expose and
defeat the left now and for decades to come.
These victories are
great. But to me, Campus Reform’s most lasting impact comes in
inspiring more young conservatives to launch careers in the media and
in our movement.
The LI team trains these students how to take
stories to the next level -- giving them valuable media training, then
setting them up with local and national television outlets to share
what they’ve uncovered.
If you’ve seen Tucker Carlson or Sean
Hannity talking about the left’s collegiate outrages, chances are the
story originated at Campus Reform.
More than 400 times a year,
Campus Reform stories appear on Fox News, Fox Business, Newsmax, One
America News Network, and local channels as well. Many times these
stories get reported by the fresh-faced students who uncovered the
stories to begin with.
Imagine the thrill of being a college student
who gets put on the national news talking about an outrageous story you
uncovered! Campus Reform makes it happen -- again and again.
That didn’t happen in my day. These kids have a big head start!
It’s
a natural career progression to jump right into the news media once
they graduate. And not the Fake News media either -- the real media, at
places like The Wall Street Journal, Daily Caller, Breitbart News,
Daily Wire, Spectator USA, Washington Examiner, The Federalist,
Newsmax, and Fox News.
Some names you might recognize from those
places and more: Lawrence Jones, Kat Timpf, Cabot Phillips, Kassy
Dillon, Emma Meshell, Antonia Okafor, Gabby Orr, Peter Hasson, Emily
Larsen, Will Witt, Amber Athey.
They’re alumni from Campus Reform’s hard-hitting journalism team.
Thank you,
Ann Coulter
