this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.

initiatives which have robbed accomplished Blacks of the perceived

IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG
PERSON, A STUDENT! WHATEVER HE RUNS FOR, I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:
We
have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids,
but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that
I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the
sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly
run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will
not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on
friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable
differences and go our own way.
Here is our separation
agreement: --Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by
landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult
part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement.
After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective
representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides
have such distinct and disparate tastes.
--We don't like re-distributive taxes so you can keep them.
--You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU
--Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military.
--We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and bio-diesel
--You
can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however,
responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all
three of them.
--You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.
--We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEOs, and rednecks
--We’ll keep Hannity, Carlson, and Bibles, and give you NBC, CNN, ABC, CBS, and Hollywood
--You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
--You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.
--When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
--We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.
--You
are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and
Shirley McClain. You can also have the UN. but we will no longer pay
the bill.
--We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt, Tesla, and Leaf you can find.
--You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.
--We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."
--I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine," "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," "Kumbaya “or” We Are the World."
--We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.
--Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.
Would
you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded
liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit
delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you might think
about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

APPROACHING THE END OF THE YEAR, here is another catch-up Pot Pourri, some with a nice scent - and some that stinks.
The
NYTimes "1619 Project" effort to change the nation's birthday to the
introduction of slavery to this continent. Anything to diminish the
greatness of this unique nation. Why don't we start with the slavery
practiced by the natives that Columbus found in 1492; or the slavery
practiced by Anerican Indians for eons. Or why don't we start with Adam
and Eve.
Does anybody except Cal Thomas see a connection
between the recent election results in Britain and America's 2020? See
his column in The Day, Dec. 21, 2019.
Peggy Noonan, certainly
not a fan of President Trump, must be reading my RR's on the
Impeachment and on the Leftist crazies. See her recent article in the
WSJ: "Crazy Won't Beat Trump".
Looking back, check out the
special edition published recently by the WSJ entitled: "Decade of
Disruption" (Dec. 18, 2019). So I haven't' been imagining this long
sense of ill ease.
And it certainly isn't over yet. Apart
from the political and moral polarization of America as we go from
Truth to "your truth and my truth", one of the greatest disruptions as
we go forward will be a consequence of the Cyber-World: Artificial
"Intelligence", the Singularity, "designer babies", our loss of our
privacy - and then of our freedom. It doesn't have to be that way...but
it is certainly careening in that direction. See the Editorial from the
Dallas Morning News: "The Internet's Next 50 years".
Climate
Change certainly continues to rile up all sides of the issue. I don't
believe that the "95 % of all climate scientists" are "ignorant"; ie,
lacking the facts. I do believe that they are "stupid". as defined by
Webster's Dictionary: "obtuse, given to unwise decisions or actions".
Or my favorite; lacking in Common Sense. They want to clean up the
world's problems with down -and - dirty solutions affecting only the
developed world without dealing with the excesses of the developing
world. Sorry: it doesn't work that way.
"PRESIDENT TRUMP IS IMPEACHED. OR IS HE?", by Professor Emeritus of Law Alan M. Dershowitz (in WSJ Dec. 23, 2019). He denies that "the approval of articles of impeachment is sufficient to constitute an impeachment."

ALTHOUGH I CONSIDER ALL OF MY RAPID RESPONSE OFFERINGS TO BE A PUBLIC SERVICE, this one really is.
Netflix offers a good scientific study of the effects of ALCOHOL INTAKE. The following are the take-away findings.
Individual
tolerance for alcohol varies among individuals. The important variable
is the body content of water. The greater the body mass - and
especially of muscle mass as distinguished from fat, the greater the
tolerance. Also, be well-hydrated if planning to consume alcohol.
Having food in the stomach increases tolerance by delaying absorption, since alcohol is metabolized in the small intestine.
Alcohol
intake increases appetite and thus increases calorie intake in addition
to the substantial calorie content of the beverage itself.
Alcohol intake adversely affects quality of sleep, The second half of a night's sleep is especially disrupted. This is increasingly true as we age.
80% of drinkers will get a hangover. This effect is mediated by an inflammatory process. A fried meat and vegetable meal, with or without an NSAID, can be helpful.
Alcoholic
beverages vary in problematic components other than the alcohol
content. The darker the beverage, the greater of these components.
Thus, lighter - colored beverages are better, especially vodka.
More recent studies have shown that alcohol in any quantity is a potential carcinogen, involving several different cancers - especially breast cancer.
Most things in life involve a Risk To Benefit analysis. Having the facts helps.

In 732 A.D., the Muslim Army, which was moving on Paris, was Defeated
and turned back at Tours, France, by Charles Martell.

In 1683 A.D. the Turkish

THIS IS PRECISELY WHAT POPE FRANCIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG
TO THE HISTORICAL AND SPIRITUAL SCLEROTICS IN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Now, as the Supreme Pontiff, he must Act. This is his call, under the
circumstances.
Planned Parenthood and the
abortion lobby are fighting for the right to kill babies with
disabilities.
The ACLJ is taking action to stop it. And something big just happened
in the courts.
Abortionists sued and won an injunction blocking a pro-life law that
protected unborn babies with disabilities such as Down Syndrome from
being aborted. Then they won again at an appeals panel. But the fight
isn't over.
Now the full 6th Circuit Court of Appeals just agreed to hear the case
en banc. This is a major development, and could overturn the prior
pro-abortion rulings. We must ensure this law stands to protect
innocent babies from being aborted just because they're deemed
"inferior."
Targeting babies with disabilities is eugenics, and it's pure evil.
But the abortion industry will stop at nothing to expand its soulless
empire and push new abortion laws, no matter how extreme - or depraved.
Our legal team has filed a critical amicus brief in support of this
crucial pro-life law to defend innocent babies. But they need YOU.
"THE RICH GET RICHER AND THE POOR GET POORER".
This reflects why I agree with the WSJ editorial position less than
half the time, as distinguished from the very informative Opinion
pieces.
ABOUT THE NEW YORK TIMES...
This left-collapsing journal continues to publish "all the news we want
to print".
But the Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 edition is definitely worth the price of
admission. They can still put out a good and varied product when it
doesn't involve politics or "Trump".

RE. GLOBAL WARMING, FOSSIL FUELS AND REAL ALTERNATIVES....
I have long thought and written that Nuclear Energy is the logical
alternative to fossil fuels without suppressing economic growth.
Two things have prevented that from succeeding beyond the current low
19% share of American electric power. One was the early stupid efforts
of the nuclear industry to white-wash the real dangers involved -
although obviously manageable. The other has been the efforts of both
the fossil fuel industries and the single-minded environmentalists to
stifle further growth.
Now comes the action by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission which can
change all of that to the benefit of all...including an effective
attack on global warming and climate change.

It makes eminent good sense. But will that be enough in this polarized
climate? I hope so.

What a
disappointment...the Inspector General's report. More
coming from Attorney General William Barr and from independent
investigator U.S. Attorney John Durham. The FBI "ain't what it used to
be". Or maybe it is, as under J. Edgar Hoover.
Back at the swamp, the best that Nancy Pelosi could do for "Articles of Impeachment"
was "abuse of power" and obstruction of Congress". Those charges would
nail the other 44 presidents also. "Stupido. Stupido. Stupido."
Meanwhile, the President goes on with substantial
accomplishments: a great economy for all; the revision of NAFTA; an
emerging bi-partisan agreement on consumer health costs.... See also

READ THIS! THE LIVELIHOOD AND LIFE YOU
SAVE MAY BE YOUR OWN.
The
Health Care delivery system has become a largely Wall Street profit
driven business. There is no "win-win". There is only "win-lose", as
usual with the business types. And the doctors and most other health
care providers have become powerless widgets in the system despite
their best efforts to protect their patients. In fact, in decades-ago
better years those physician efforts to shield their patients from the
progressive pain of revolutionary changes is part of the reason why
we're all here.
Physicians, individual and "organized", have never
had power or influence over the business and political types. They
tried to "go along to get along", to have a place "at the table".
Instead, they have been relegated under the table. Only the patient /
public, individual and organized, have had potential massive power. But
they never used it.
Now the only way to survive a trip into the
health care system is to be your own advocate or to have a personal
advocate: to question, to demand answers, and to demand personal,
efficient and cost-effective attention - to RATTLE THE CAGE!
Especially if your doctor is an employee of the hospital or other large
health care service, he or she is IMPOTENT to serve, to protect and
defend you in your time of need.
And that is the reason for the
galloping "burnout". It's not burnout at all for these people who
survived a crucible of heat and pressure in becoming health care
"providers". The reason is MORAL INJURY.
NOW YOU, THE PATIENTS,
HAVE TO HELP THEM - with your voices, with your demands, with your
feet, with your political "representatives".
No More "Mr. Nice-Guy". Your personal welfare - and your life - depend
on it.
SO SAD TO SAY...
but Pope Francis has so far been a disappointment.
Originally
presenting himself as a breath of fresh air, an "Aggiornamento" which
had been effectively stifled during and since Vatican ll, he has in
recent years declined to pursue some much-needed reforms for the Church
- reforms of positions based not upon the Holy Bible or even Tradition,
but upon the political Church requirements of long past centuries.
And
now we evidently have another political Church requirement: a
"requirement" to champion all immigrants and immigration without regard
to need or intent, and without regard for the needs and rights of
sovereign nations and their people. This stance certainly goes, in my
opinion, beyond moral Christianity and well into Politics. That must
have been the calculus for some of the actions taken in the long-past
centuries as well.
Meanwhile, the reactionaries in the Magisterium worry about causing a
"schism" in the Church.
Well,
what do you think you have now: having lost one or two generations
while seeing Church attendance decline from over 70% to less than 20%?
I
still hope to witness this Pope to lead, rather than to be a care-taker
for another day. Whether the Church survives for another day, its Flock
may well not.

America: One
Country--Two Nations

We
live in one geographical area called America. For decades we have been
wrestling with two models of government: One based on a free market
price system. Another based on a state-controlled economy. The statists
have been overtaking the functions of government since the 1930’s and
before. There have been fluctuations in the control exercised, but the
inexorable progression has been more government not less.
We
reached an inflection point when bureaucrats, the unelected, had more
power than the elected. Bureaucrats are, for the most part, employed
for life, and, regardless of who is elected, run the day to day
functions of government. It was just a matter of time before they
realized they had more power than the elected. Bureaucrats are now
flexing their muscles. The 2016 election was the bureaucrats’ debutante
ball. The statists are tired of the election game, especially when they
lose. The current impeachment exhibition is nothing more than a
declaration by them of the death of elections. Recently,
bureaucrats and statist politicians began to weaponize agencies of
government. No longer satisfied with playing nice, they sought total
control. Why? Because they could.
And so, secession is
not just a choice, it’s the new normal. We are living in two nations.
All that’s left is to figure how to separate the functions. Not unlike
Siamese twins, our political bodies require separation surgery. Yes, it
will be bloody… and probably fatal.
The statists, inherently
totalitarian, have embraced their authoritative instincts and are in it
to win, at any and all costs. Free marketeers are loath to use
coercion, but coerce they must, if they hope to survive. Enter Trump:
the elected face of the free marketeer fighter.
Nothing
lasts forever. Nothing is new under the Sun. We endeavor to persevere.
See you at the game. I’m rooting for the free marketeers. And you?

"DONALD TRUMP WOULD EAT
THEM UP"
Michael
Bloomberg referring during a CBS interview on Dec. 6, 2019 to the
collection of Democratic air-head candidates he has decided to
challenge.
In my opinion, that would include Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama.
That is the reason he gives for running for the nomination.
He's right.
And, in addition, he is right in his retort to the only criticism they
can mount against hm: "He's buying the election".
To which he replies that he doesn't want to be bought by
anyone...something that they are doing on a daily basis.
But "Where's the Beef"? Well, for that please taste the Editorial in

Precisely!
And
"Una Mas". Although I am with President Trump for the duration - for
many very good reasons discussed in this section, I could certainly see
myself accepting Michael Bloomberg as President vs. any of the others -
also for many good reasons discussed in recent years in this section.
