RAPID
RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new
section. It will
offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.

STILL ENSLAVED, NOW BY THEIR OWN "LEADERS". Yes,
I'm referring to a large segment of the Black community who continue to
support poor public schools, a debilitating welfare mentality, the
destruction of Black family life through abortion and escape from male
responsibility - and 85% support of the Democratic Party. Most
recently we have the spectacle of a Southern Black college prohibiting
its students from attending a talk by President Trump - who has
materially supported Blacks in reform of the Criminal Justice System. And
now they want "reparations". Well, you won't get it from my immigrant
family. And you won't get it until the American Indians, here long
before you were, get their "reparations" while often living in squalor
on their reservations. WAKE UP!

MORE ON THE U.S. AND THE MIDDLE EAST. See "Trump Chooses To Fight At Home", by Holman W. Jenkins, Jr. (WSJ Oct. 19-20, 2019, Opinion, p A15). Of
course the Military / Industrial Complex, Wall Street and the Swamp are
against the President's actions while reaping great financial rewards. It's the "Deplorables" and their children who are paying the price with no return...and no peace. Remember that in November, 2020.
ABOUT ONE WEEK AGO I ENTERED INTO A FRIENDLY BET WITH ONE OF MY CHILDREN ABOUT THIS: $10. AT STAKE. My position: there will not be an impeachment. Steve Forbes agrees.
"YOU WANT THE TRUTH? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH". Here is an on-point reply to the cynical / hypocritical bleating hearts denigrating the actions of President Trump in Syria. See: "If Our Ruling Class Wants To Stay In The Middle East, Bring Back The Draft", by Joseph Bentivegna, M.D. (www.ctmirror.org, Oct. 24, 2019).

WHEN IS AN "IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY" A LYNCHING? The following letter is the best factual answer to that question that I have seen to date. See: Article by Charlie Savage, NYTimes Oct. 22, 2019 posting the Letter from Deputy Sec'y of Defense David C. Norquist to Daniel Levin. "Can you hear me now"?

ANOTHER EDITION OF : "SHORT, AND NOT SO SWEET".
1) Re. Vaccinations for kids / "Religious Exemption" / "Choice". You STUPID opponents of vaccinations: your "choice" should be to enter your kids in school...or keep them home!
2)
"Lynch: the punishment of presumed crimes or offenses usually by death
without due process of Law". See Webster's New Explorer College
Dictionary. Sound like what's going on in the Democratic House of
Representatives...and also as expressed by Democrats regarding
Clinton's Impeachment?
3) See "Trump Cuts Loose...", (LA Times
October 22, 2019). Half fact and half Never-Trump diatribe, this piece
at least gives some facts about what President Trump is actually
accomplishing - consistent with his promises to the American people. It
is precisely those promises, "for the people" and not for the
Washington and Wall Street parasites, that is the pathogenesis of
"Trump Derangement Syndrome".
4) Re. President Trump and the
Ukraine issue. The President has an OBLIGATION to see that nations who
are debtors to this country are led by competent and honest leaders.
Likewise, he has an obligation to see that potential Presidents of this
nation are competent and honest. It is appearing more and more
that former Vice President Joe Biden is neither. "Quid pro Quo" under
these circumstances is merely negotiating on America's behalf.
5)
The Middle East: a Den of Thieves and Liars leading benighted good
people. We'll be there when it is in our national interest. At other
times, Turkey and Russia are welcome to that swamp. Meanwhile, the
vast majority of Muslim people throughout the world should rise up
against the Fundamentalists riding roughshod over them and their own
and over all who disagree with them.
7)
"Tobacco Pouches / Snuff" and the FDA. STUPID, and another triumph of
avarice over health care and common sense. Have you ever seen a person
with Cancer of the mouth or jaw - before or especially after surgery. I
have.
8) OBAMACARE: A PIG IN A POKE. Ballooning costs; declining health care quality. This
is what people who don't know the requirements of clinical medical
practice, who are motivated by self-interest, by profit and by politics
DO. Sound familiar?
9) "Making New London A True College Town" (Editorial, The Day, October 20, 2019). A good college try. But New London has a problem, exemplified by its eternal "POTENTIAL". Read (via Google) my article published a few years ago entitled: "New London: A Tale Of Two Cities". A
most recent manifestation of this "Win / Lose" mentality was reflected
in the result of a special city-wide election held a few years ago
testing whether to donate 1/2 of Riverside Park to the Coast Guard
Academy. It lost (if it did lose...) by a few votes. Not "Way'ta Go".

4) Two NYTimes articles (October 20, 2019) should be read at the same sitting: a) "Workers Chase Spoils Of Boom On Picket Lines"; and b) "The Idle Rich? They Wish". This
is a flagrant example of the "Win / Lose" mentality in most of

SO MANY ISSUES. SO LITTLE TIME.
1) If you are interested in "Constitutional Originalism" vs. "a living document" debates, see "Clarence Thomas And The Lost Constitution"
(in Imprimis, September, 2019). The U.S. Constitution has been
prostituted by Right and by Left for over 150 years. The only thing at
stake is our form of Government: Freedom vs. Totalitarianism.
2)
Given the local results especially in our major cities, and America's
standing in the world of education, our public education efforts remain
a tragic joke...the real "racism". See my section entitled "Public Education Politics" on this website (asthma.drsprecace.com). See "Charter Schools Ace Another Test"

"Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it". The current
dispute over President Trump's recent actions in Northern Syria reflect
the usual partisanship, the usual self-serving political CYA, a true
concern for people who have been our allies (as with the translators in
Afghanistan), and a lapse of recollection of our support for the
corrupt governments of South Viet Nam that sucked us into the quagmire
of the Viet Nam "police action". The Day Editorial of Oct. 17, 2019
provides a good summary of general opposition to Trump's actrion - half
the story. See "Turkey Is Stepping Up Where Others Fail To Act" for the other half (by Turkey Premier Erdogan, in WSJ October 15, 2019). Bottom
line, with which I agree, President Trump's statement before the
U.N.General Assembly: "The future does not belong to globalists". And also my own home-grown belief: THE FIRST RULE OF SERVICE IS SURVIVAL!"
5) "Watch Out: Supreme Court In Session" (NYTimes,October 6, 2019). And
a good thing! The USSC is the only branch of government that a strong
majority of Americans still have confidence in. See also The Day
Editorial on the same subject (Oct. 16, 2019).
6) And see "Stand Up To Antifa Or Prepare For Trouble", by Lee Elci (in The Day, October 16, 2019). "The
conservative right, comprised of men and women who work, go to church,
raise families and pay taxes, will not be bullied by these cowards". You've got that right.

China poses a threat to freedom across the globe, and its military is only growing. Putting
aside China’s well-known malicious trade practices and blatant
dishonesty, its government has gone beyond just expanding its economic
might. Its military is growing. And it is growing quickly. The
Chinese government has increased military spending by 83% since 2009.
Some officials have even said that China’s military technology has now
caught up to the United States.
America cannot allow this
trend to continue. China has committed countless human rights abuses,
has no respect for international law, and habitually oppresses its own
people. China is not just another trade partner. China is a national
security threat, a rival, and the antithesis of American values. Now
more than ever, we must keep a watchful eye on the Chinese government.
If necessary, we must take action. Chip in to Stand For America today

responsible for its actions. We can’t allow the Chinese military to
continue down this path of unrestricted growth. Help us in this fight –
a fight we intend to win. Donate today and hold China accountable.

"MORAL INJURY". EXACTLY THE RIGHT TERM FOR WHAT'S AILING PHYSICIANS.
"A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don't have one. You'll probably never need one again." The definition of the word Conundrum is: Something that is puzzling or confusing. Here are six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America:
1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.
2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.
4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.
5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other Countries only dream about.
6.
They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet
they want America to be more like those other countries.
7. Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.
Makes you wonder who is doing the math. By the way.....
1.
We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few
lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions
of a few lunatics. Funny how that works. And here's another
one worth considering...
2. Seems we constantly hear
about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we
never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money?
What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the
second didn't.
Which side of the fence? If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test! If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed. If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone. If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect. If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. If a Democrat is down-and-out he wonders who is going to take care of him. If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. A Democrat demands that those they don't like be shut down. If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. If a Democrat decides he needs health care, he demands that the rest of us pay for his. If a Republican is unhappy with an election, he grumbles and goes to work the next day. If a Democrat is unhappy with an election, he burns down a Starbucks, throws rocks at cops and takes two-weeks off for therapy. If a Republican reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
Interesting information, as is much that is written about Bronchial Asthma. But there are three important issues that are being missed by most physicians and most commentators: 1)
the central importance of a carefully taken medical and allergy
history, by a certified Allergist or by a trained and motivated health
care provider. This would most often lead to complete diagnosis and a
treatment program that should include Allergy Immunotherapy for those
allergens that cannot be avoided. 2) the uselessness of the
"diagnosis" of COPD, actually a waste-basket for undiagnosed components
of Obstructive Airway Diseases: Bronchial Asthma, Chronic Bronchitis
and other consequences of personal and occupational life. 3) the
proper and experienced use of oral corticosteroids, both tablet and
inhaled, often used with a "all or nothing at all" approach. 4) the utility of biologics in selected cases - but not nearly as important as the above.
That approach will get our asthmatics better and keep them better.

From that point on, they were subject to direct and indirect attacks
from the health insurance industry and more subtly from their minions
in government.
They are still available and they are still smart...if you look for
them and avoid the many myths still propagated about them.

INTERESTING THEORY ABOUT DONALD
TRUMP’S SUCCESS.
By the Democratic Mayor of Livermore, California.
The mayor of Livermore, California explains Trump’s popularity and
success. This is perhaps the best explanation for Trump's popularity.
Marshall Kamena is a registered Democrat and was elected mayor of
Livermore, CA. He ran on the democratic ticket as he knew a
Bay Area city would never vote for a Republican. He is as
conservative as they come.
He wrote the following:
Trump’s 'lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship' By Marshall
Kamena, Mayor of Livermore, CA.
My Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly
ask me if I’m not bothered by Donald Trump’s lack of decorum.
They ask if I don’t think his tweets are “beneath the dignity of the
office.”
Here’s my answer: We Right-thinking people have tried dignity.
There could not have been a man of more quiet dignity than George W.
Bush as he suffered the outrageous lies and politically motivated
hatreds that undermined his presidency.
We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human being on this
earth who so desperately prized “collegiality” as John McCain?
We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt
Romney? And the results were always the same.
This is because, while we were playing by the rules of dignity,
collegiality and propriety, the Left has been, for the past 60 years,
engaged in a knife fight where the only rules are those of Saul Alinsky
and the Chicago mob.
I don’t find anything “dignified,” “collegial” or “proper” about Barack
Obama’s lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order
to ramp up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic
Party.
I don’t see anything “dignified” in lying about the deaths of four
Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover
your tracks.
I don’t see anything “statesman-like” in weaponizing the IRS to be used
to destroy your political opponents and any dissent.
Yes, Obama was “articulate” and “polished”
but in no way was he in the least bit “dignified,” “collegial” or
“proper.”
The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of
the Children of the ‘60s.
To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and
nothing is seen as beyond the pale..
It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence,
demagoguery and lies from day one – the violent take-over of the
universities – till today.
The problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only
side fighting this war.
While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who stands in their
way, the Right has continued to act with dignity, collegiality and
propriety.
With Donald Trump, this all has come to an end.
Donald Trump is America ’s first wartime president in the Culture War.
During wartime, things like “dignity” and “collegiality” simply aren’t
the most essential qualities one looks for in their warriors.
Ulysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might well have
seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming. Had Abraham
Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted Grant, the
Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today. Lincoln
rightly recognized that, “I cannot spare this man. He fights.”
General George Patton was vulgar-talking. In peacetime, this might have
seen him stripped of rank.
But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal rules of decorum then,
Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five decades into their
thousand-year Reich.
Trump is fighting. And what’s particularly delicious is that, like
Patton standing over the battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel’s,
he’s shouting,
“You magnificent bastards, I read your book!”
That is just the icing on the cake, but it’s wonderful to see that not
only is Trump fighting,
he’s defeating the Left using their own tactics.
That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to
the Liberals’ war against America that it is and was the playbook for
the entire Obama administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton’s
senior thesis.
It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would
dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most
indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer.
Trump’s tweets may seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is
doing exactly what Alinsky suggested his followers do.
First, instead of going after “the fake media” — and they are so fake
that they have literally gotten every single significant story of the
past 60 years not just wrong, but diametrically opposed to the truth,
from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi, to what really happened on the
streets of Ferguson, Missouri —
Trump isolated CNN. He made it personal.
Then, just as Alinsky suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky
described as “the most powerful weapon of all.”... Most importantly,
Trump’s tweets have put CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position ..
They need to respond.
This leaves them with only two choices. They can either “go high” (as
Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would
disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and
accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual
tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and
demagoguery.
The problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if they were to
start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end of the
Democratic Party they serve.
It is nothing but the incessant use of fake news (read: propaganda)
that keeps the Left alive.
Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately reported
then-candidate Barack Obama’s close ties to foreign terrorists (Rashid
Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers & Bernardine
Dohrn), the mafia (Tony Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual
mentor, Jeremiah Wright’s church.
Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils of the
Obama administration’s weaponizing of the IRS to be used against their
political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels or
the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the
Obama administration’s cover-up.
So, to my friends on the Left — and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I
wish we lived in a time when our president could be “collegial” and
“dignified” and “proper”?
Of course I do. These aren’t those times. This is war.
And it’s a war that the Left has been fighting without opposition for
the past 50 years.
So, say anything you want about this president –
I get it - he can be vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at
times.
I don’t care. I can’t spare this man. He fights for America!

by Lee Elci (in The Day Oct. 2, 2019).
2) "It's not too late", by Al Gore (in

Then Google regarding the MANY wrong predictions made by scientists and
"scientists" during the last 30 years about climate change, its effects
and the timing of those effects.
My position?
1) Climate Change has been going on since the origin (aka "Creation")
of the Earth.
2) Man's survival needs and also his excesses have been contributing to
those changes throughout time.
3) The degree of those contributions has increased in recent
centuries. The proportion of man's contributions versus other factors
beyond his understanding or control is in question.
4) Man has an Obligation to mitigate his contributions to the adverse
effects of Climate Change...CONSISTENT WITH HIS SURVIVAL! Some of the
proposals being made are Not consistent with his survival, short-term
or long-term.
5) The First Rule Of Service is Survival!
6) Regarding "our Youth now showing us the way", including Greta

with how some of the unhinged generation of the '60's, their children
and grandchildren have turned out - for themselves and for their
country?
Those of us of Faith can take comfort in the ever-present oversight of

5)
The Middle East: a Den of Thieves and Liars leading benighted good

most recent manifestation of this "Win / Lose" mentality was reflected
in the result of a special city-wide election held a few years ago

1) If you are interested in "Constitutional Originalism" vs. "a living document" debates, see "Clarence Thomas And The Lost Constitution"

Given the local results especially in our major cities, and America's

dispute over President Trump's recent actions in Northern Syria reflect
the usual partisanship, the usual self-serving political CYA, a true
concern for people who have been our allies (as with the translators in
Afghanistan), and a lapse of recollection of our support for the
corrupt governments of South Viet Nam that sucked us into the quagmire
of the Viet Nam "police action".

Now

If necessary, we must take action. Chip in to Stand For America today

From that point on, they were subject to direct and indirect attacks
from the health insurance industry and more subtly from their minions

them and avoid the many myths still propagated about them.

See two helpful articles for Facts. Then "take two aspirins and call

6) Regarding "our Youth now showing us the way", including Greta

with how some of the unhinged generation of the '60's, their children
and grandchildren have turned out - for themselves and for their
country?
