RAPID
RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new
section. It will
offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.

NOW HEAR THIS. The European Wimps have lost their way. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and President Donald Trump have not. They can't lead. Follow, or Get Out Of the Way!
AFTER A LONG INTERVAL: "AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY" OBSERVATIONS, MORE OR LESS.
This
is prompted by the incessant attacks on the foreign policy of President
Trump...stupid and uninformed from the Leftists, hypocritical and
self-serving at all cost by the monied class and the armaments
industries, and committed to the battles of yesterday by leaders of the
Intelligence Community". Meanwhile, the President addresses new
opportunities for cooperation as well as for confrontation with
important international players...through tough negotiations instead of
through armed conflict.
China seeks advantage by any means
whatever short of war. Taiwan and activities in the South China Sea
loom large in these interactions. India and Pakistan are barely American allies, certainly not allies of each other. The Muslim Middle East is a committed adversary. Russia always seeks to fish in any troubled waters that enhance its relevance against America. Turkey continues its political schizophrenia. The "Western Alliance" waivers between nation-states and an "international community" without content. Japan and South Korea are allies for self-defense - against North Korea which seeks its own self-defense.
In
all of this, the President seeks negotiations, through reason and
through strength. In this approach he is right. And he could be much
more effective if he were not undermined at home by the treacherous
groups listed above in our midst.

SO MANY ISSUES (AND OPINIONS); SO LITTLE TIME.
1) Regarding The Day's Editorial, July 24, 2019, entitled: "World Braces With The Arrival Of The
'British Trump'": Are you trying to say that you don't like
Trump and Johnson?
Just spit it out, man. No need to beat around the bush.
2) Today's China may become an existential threat to America, both
economically and militarily - if we don't watch out. See the
Japanese Editorial re-published in The Day on July 26 and entitled "China's Growing Threat". See also "Xi Changed My Mind About Trump",
by Gordon G. Chang (in WSJ July 25, 2019, Opinion, pA15). The operative
term here is "National Sovereignty".
See also: "America's Nationalist Awakening",
by Christopher DeMuth (in WSJ July 20-21, Opinion, pA15).
3) NOW HEAR THIS: ABOUT CANCER.
This is a very important article that can benefit each of us and our
family members.
"Every Cancer Patient Is One In A Billion",
by Robert Nagourney, M.D. (in WSJ July 23, 2019, Opinion, pA15.) After
all of these decades of "More" in treatment, the message may now be:
"Don't Just Do Something. Stand There."
4) Despite increasing life expectancy, marked reduction in
cardiovascular deaths, and great progress in cancer treatment results, "Death Rates Climb for Adults 25 to 64"
(by Betsy McKay, in WSJ July 23, 2019, pA3). Especially in those
between 25-44, most deaths were from injuries - including drug
overdoses and suicides. And this is the demographic that is quietly
suffering the most from the excesses of the last three decades: amoral,
hyper-sexual, "schooled" but uninformed, "connected" and "tuned in" but
personally ISOLATED. Parents: back to work. The child you save may be
your own!
5)
Rhttps://ctmirror.org/2019/07/22/transgender-issues-polarizes-womens-advocates-a-conundrum/https://ctmirror.org/2019/07/22/transgender-issues-polarizes-womens-advocates-a-conundrum/egarding
The Abomination of Abortion, Roe v.Wade was never legitimate "law" and
is certainly not "settled". But the current approach to returning the
issue to sanity and morality may not be successful - and certainly not
timely. See "The Smart Way To Overturn Roe", by
Clarke D. Forsythe (in WSJ July 22, 2019, Opinion, pA17). This approach
"would decentralize the abortion issue and return it to the states.
That would be good for the court and all of American politics".
6) Connecticut's "junior" Senator Chris Murphy is increasingly engaged
in substantive issues. See the recent article on the second of his
reports regarding this vexing subject; "Murphy: Treatment of Athletes By Colleges
And NCAA Is 'Madness'" (in ctmirror.org, July 25, 2019). Not
"madness", but Greed and total abrogation of responsibility for the
students under their care.
A newer but related issue involves women's sports and the inclusion of
"transgender" athletes". See: "Transgender Sports Debate Polarizes Women's
Advocates" (in ctmirror.org, July 22, 2019).
"I respect these transgender athletes...No matter how hard I try, I'll
never be able to be competitive with someone who's biologically a male."
Finally for this offering: READ THE WALL STREET JOURNAL!

EDITED VERSION, although
I'm not sure why you want to post it. Most people are frightened of
supplements, and do what their doctor tells them to do.
----------------------------------------------
All I had to do was read the first two sentences to suspect that Kevin
Campbell, M.D. is a shill for Big Pharma. Or, he is one of the many
medical practitioners who remain safely entrenched in the comfort zone
that conventional medical training continues to place physicians in. I
read further, only to be convinced of this notion. The line in the
second paragraph about FDA-approved drugs being tested until they're
safe was a good belly laugh.
Given the doctor's claim that the vetting process for supplements is
diametrically opposed to that of pharmaceuticals, I guess we can all
let out a giant sigh of relief considering that not a week goes by that
we don't hear about one or more people being severely injured or killed
by an 'FDA-approved', 'painstakingly tested' pharmaceutical. Tell me,
would you rather try a lifestyle/diet change (or experimentation with
various natural supplements) to mitigate your psoriasis, or regularly
ingest an 'FDA-approved' pharmaceutical that "solves" the problem of an
overactive immune system by . . . crushing it to the point where
disclaimers of potential cancer and TB are required? Don't go on that
3rd-world vacation with this drug in your system; you may not come back
alive.
Given the rash of morbidly-obese people in the late 1980s who ingested
phen-fen at a rate many times what was recommended (subsequently
experiencing a virtually exploding heart), properly researched and
dispensed supplements are a good hedge on the all-too human behavior of
excess. 'If one pill does X, ten pills will be ten times better,
right?' Wrong. Multiply the effects of this dangerous, often fatal
mindset with pharmaceuticals whose potency can be hundreds of times
that of a supplement.
By the way, just because science isolates a specifically efficacious
compound in nature doesn't mean that turbo-charging it is necessarily
healthy. Ascorbic acid is great for preventing rickets. However, the
half-dozen other bioflavinoids in citrus fruits are physiologically
required for Vitamin C to properly do its job. And, don't forget that
if you megadose on Vitamin C, make sure to keep up your magnesium
intake, which then affects calcium. Supplements can be misused just as
pharmaceuticals can be. But, I'd rather my kid fool around with a pop
gun than a loaded .45.
Simply put, "scientists" like this physician are often scared
(sh)witless of the effects of the "multi-billion-dollar" business of
supplements on their bottom line and very expensive careers. As the
population ages in the next few decades, Big Pharma is building to be a
multi-trillion-dollar business, pal.
Here's the deal: there are definitely pharmaceuticals that no
supplement can beat or even match. But that has never been the
argument. It has been the intellectually dishonest argument that
seemingly non-partisan professionals like this guy try to push.
Supplements are most often about prevention as well as maintenance of
wellness. Name one of the many hundreds of 'FDA-approved'
pharmaceuticals (in laughably record-time, I might add) that is about
prevention of disease. And, things like statins don't count because
diet, exercise, and/or supplements known as milk thistle and
guggul/gugulipid (in addition to others that a simple Google or WebMD
search will reveal) are just as effective at maintaining healthy lipid
metabolism without the dangerous side effects that 'FDA-approved'
pharmaceuticals note in their boilerplates that often read with the
comic tone of The Onion.
Were I one of the millions who complains about the cost of healthcare
in general and the cost of prescriptions specifically (while doing
little or nothing to live a healthy lifestyle), I'd also be one of
those who swallows every pharmaceutical the conventional medical
community pushes like the latest street drug.
The point is that supplements (reputable, pure supplements, not the
trash sold at convenience stores) are the modern equivalent of an apple
a day. Consequently, they will continue to be denigrated by mainstream
medical practitioners and Big Pharma because they are a threat to their
biggest cash cow, massive human ignorance and laziness.
As for the good doctor's final question to the reader, "I ask you
today, would you take a supplement?", my answer is an emphatic, "With
bells on."

welfare recipients.
8 - You don't need a smoke detector; that's what the fire department is

you say I don't need a gun.
9 - Folks keep talking about another Civil War. One side knows how to

The "George Washington" Monument
LAUS DEO
One detail
that is seldom mentioned is that in Washington,
D.C. there can never be a building of greater height than the
Washington
Monument.
With all
the uproar about removing the Ten Commandments,
etc., this is worth a moment or two of your
time.
I was not
aware of this amazing historical information.
On the
aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in
Washington, D.C., are displayed two words: Laus
Deo.
No one can
see these words.
In fact,
most visitors to the monument are totally unaware
they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn't care
less.
Once you
know Laus Deo's history, you will want to share
this with everyone you
know.
These
words have been there for many years; they are 555
feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward to
the
Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles which comprise
the
District of Columbia, capital of the United States of America.
Laus
Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words.
Out of
sight and, one might think, out of mind, but very
meaningfully placed at the highest point over what is the most powerful
city
in the most successful nation in the world.
So, what
do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four
syllables and only seven letters, possibly
mean?
Very
simply, they say 'Praise be to
God!'
Though
construction of this giant obelisk began in1848, when
James Polk was President of the United States, it was not until 1888
that
the monument was inaugurated and opened to the public.
It took
twenty-five years to finally cap the memorial with a
tribute to the Father of our nation, Laus Deo, 'Praise be to God!'
From atop
this magnificent granite and marble structure,
visitors may take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its
division into four major segments.
From that
vantage point, one can also easily see the
original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles L'Enfant ..... a perfect
cross
imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the north, The
Jefferson
Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln
Memorial
to the west.
A cross
you ask? Why a cross?
What about
separation of church and state?
Yes, a
cross; separation of church and state was NOT, is
NOT, in the Constitution.
So, read
on.
How
interesting and, no doubt, intended to carry a profound
meaning for those who bother to notice.
When the
cornerstone of the Washington Monument was laid on
July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items including the Holy
Bible
presented by the Bible Society. Praise be to God!
Such was the discipline,
the moral direction, and the spiritual mood given by the founder and
first
President of our unique democracy 'One Nation, Under God.'
I am awed
by George Washington's prayer for America ....
Have you ever read it? Well, now is your unique opportunity,
so read on!
"Almighty
God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt
keep the United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline
the
hearts of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and
obedience
to government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one
another
and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.
And
finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to
dispose us all to do justice, to love MERCY, and to demean ourselves
with
that charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the
characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and
without a
humble imitation of whose example in these things we can never hope to
be a
happy nation.
Grant our
supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus
Christ our Lord. Amen."
Laus Deo!
It is
hoped you will send this to every sister, brother,
father, mother or
friend.
They will
not find it offensive, because you have given them
a lesson in history that they probably never learned in school.

PUT THE CRYING TOWELS, THE BLATANT HYPOCRISY AND THE LIES AWAY.
These are the facts on the ground as related to the failing Central
American countries.
THE TRUMP PRESIDENCY: OPTICS VS. FACTS.
With the entire mainstream Media against this President, the optics
will always resemble a circus mirror.
But these are the facts. Do they matter now? Will they matter in 2020?
YOU BET!
ONCE MORE, WITH FEELING...
Public
Education in this country, especially in the major cities - populated
by those families and children who most need it - is a DISASTER.
I have been writing about this for two decades, published mainly in the
"Public Education Politics" section of this web site.
Now comes more evidence. See: "An Education Horror Show" (WSJ
Editorial, July 8, pA16).
Then
see the report in the Weekly Standard "Report on the incident at
Middlebury College", emblematic of similar scenes going on on college
campuses throughout the country. "Unable
to speak over the incessant jeers, (Charles) Murray was escorted out of
the room, only to see the protests turn violent. The crowd pounded on
the car he entered, rocked it back and forth, and climbed onto the
hood. The professor escorting him ended up in the hospital."
What
is equally a disaster is the recurring overwhelming political support
given to the Democratic Party, a wholly - owned subsidiary of the
National Teachers Unions, by Blacks and other minorities - the main
victims of this bastardization of public education. IDIOCY AND FAILURE
OF PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY. What a Shame.

in case you weren’t feeling too old yet, the following will certainly
change things. Each year the staff at Beloit College in Wisconsin puts

Here’s this year’s list:
The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.
Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.

They never heard:

2) Should "Chronic Pain"
be a category added to those conditions warranting access to Medical Marijuana?
I
agree with the psychiatrist from Yale: "a very broad and poorly defined
clinical entity". Also likely a back door entry to "recreational
marijuana."
3) A subject with both medical and fairness implications relates to "transgender" athletes.
See recent articles in The Day by Lee Elci and by Amby Burfoot. How
about a little common sense here?
4) A recent article in The Day discusses the history - and the plight -
of "cadet nurses" in the
WWII US Cadet Nurse Corps.
Former President Harry Truman reportedly said that "cadet nurses should
be compensated as other military veterans are." As is so often the
case, our politicians "can be counted on to do the right thing...when
everything else fails".
5) In the often fluid and
sometimes stormy atmosphere that is international relations, where
today's ally can be tomorrow's adversary, America should not be selling
the products of our military and scientific efforts "just to make a
buck" - or many billions of bucks as is the case. Besides the ability
to turn our weapons against us, reverse engineering is a certainty. See
the recent article in The Day about our problems with Turkey and India.
6) Trying to "turn a silk purse into a sow's ear". Leave it to
the Washington Post, the AP, and regrettably our own The Day to
denigrate an excellent and unifying Washington
July 4th celebration...just because President Trump was
part of it. You delusionals: GET OVER IT. YOU LOST!

A REGUAR GUY?
At
least it’s comforting

same dilemma.
I

I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes

I am heterosexual, which according to gay folks, now makes me a

I am non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an

I am a Christian, which now labels me as an
infidel;
I am older than 70, which makes me a useless old

I
think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media
tells me, which must make me a
reactionary;
I am proud of my heritage and our inclusive culture, which makes me a
xenophobe;
I
value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and

extremist;
I believe in hard work, fair

merits,
which today makes me an anti-socialist;
I
believe in the defense and protection of the homeland for and by all
citizens, which now makes me a militant;
Recently, a woman called me and my friends a “basket of

Please help me come to terms with the new me...
because I'm just not sure who I am

I

MEDICAL ALERT: ADD THIS TO YOUR LIST OF POLITICS AND POLITICIANS
that can be dangerous to your health.
Wouldn't this be nice to see this
in all the U.S. newspapers and on all the major TV networks?
‘They Don’t Even TRY’: Hungary’s New Border Fence called a ‘Spectacular
Success’......
Skeptics
who believe a border wall will not stop illegals from entering the
United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary.
On
the day its border fence was completed, the influx of illegals entering
Hungary went down from 6,353 per day to 870 the next. For the remainder
of that month, illegal border crossings were steadily below 40 per day,
officials said.
“They don’t even try,” a local border
guard told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “We haven’t had a single
Muslim migrant in six months.”
Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s pledge to stop illegals from flowing into
the country appears to be a spectacular success.
Hungary’s
96-mile long, 14-foot tall double-line fence includes several layers of
razor-wire capable of delivering electric shocks. The barrier features
cameras, heat sensors and loudspeakers ready to tell migrants they’re
about to break Hungarian law if they as much as touch the fence, the DC
report said.
Nearly every police officer in Hungary is
part of a rotation to monitor the border fence at
all
times. Temporary military bases house the police while they do their
rotation.
Additionally, Hungary will train and pay more than 1,000 volunteers to
deploy as “border hunters”.
Illegals
who are caught are arrested and dropped off on the Serbian side of the
fence. They don’t get a chance to apply for asylum unless they do so at
a “transit zone” where they are held in housing containers while their
cases get processed, the report said.
In September 2016,
thousands of migrants streamed across the border every day as they made
their way north to Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.
“It was an invasion,” Laszlo Toroczkai, the mayor of Asotthalom, told
the Daily Caller.
“Illegal immigration is a crime in a normal country. It’s not a normal
thing to break into a country.”
“By
mid-year it was well beyond 100,000 people who came across,” said
Zoltan Kovacs, a spokesman for the Hungarian government. “You should at
least have the ability to handle what’s going on.”
Kovacs
added: “You might not like it, it’s not a nice thing, but … the only
way to stop illegal border crossings is to first build a fence, man it,
equip it, and also, in parallel, build up your capabilities in terms of
legal confines, legal circumstances to be able to handle what is
coming.”
It’s no surprise the mainstream U.S. media
refuses to report this story to the American public. Can you imagine
how support for a Southern border wall would spike if they could hear
about this?
With illegal crossings into the United States exceeding 140,000 in the
month of May 2019,
the
Democrats who encourage and invite this should be ashamed of
themselves. Do you realize that the number of illegal border
crossings in May alone exceeds that of the Allied invasion of
France on D-Day?

ANOTHER EDITION OF POT POURRI,
aka "All the actual factual news on which I have an informed opinion."
Let's
start with "the news". Do you often have a sneaking suspicion - or an
actual conviction - that you are being stroked...or actually lied to?
You're right, and it's much worse than you thought. See: "UNFREEDOM OF
THE PRESS", by Mark Levin (Threshold Editions, 2019).
On
the national scene, we see the 20 or more Democratic presidential
wannabe's falling over each other trying to buy your votes with the GDP
of the next two generations. See: "Democrats Scramble To Buy Primary Votes. But
Who Is Going To Pay?", by Lee Elci (in The DayJuly 3, 2019)
The
Catholic Church is a Religion of Divine Revelations...and of
human traditions - some of the latter going back 2,000 years.
A
very old human tradition that rests on a tender reed, in my opinion, is
that of the celibacy of its Clergy. Please read the following article
on this subject. And then tell me if I missed something. See: "Catholics Debate The Future Of Priestly
Celibacy", by Francis X Rocca (in WSJ June 29-30, 2019,
Review).
One
of the best articles regarding our National Birthday is already
published In Toto herein, from the Washington Times, July 1, 2019. One
of the worst was published in The Day as a Editorial, July 4, 2019. One
of the best events was the presentation by President Trump at the
Lincoln Memorial - unless you read many of the mainstream media screeds
on the subject. Surprised?
Until the last few decades, the
motto of the U.S. Coast Guard, "Semper Paratus", was translated as
"always forgot us". No more. Thus, the Coast Guard Academy has an
honored place among the residents of New London, Ct. That is why
several current story lines deserve attention. 1) Sexual Harassment
allegations: there should be Zero Tolerance for such actions. 2) "More
Diversity": sure, so long as all applicants meet the same academic,
physical and moral qualifications. 3) The hazing miseries of "Swab
Summer", common to all military academies. I have always thought that
was a waste of time and a serious loss through resignation of many
highly motivated students (approaching 40% at times and in some
academies). There are better ways to achieve the same goals.
New
London, Ct. Historically often " a day late and a dollar short". But
other urban centers have historically been similarly affected. See: "City Revival - Did We Learn From The Urban
Renewal Era?", by Tom Condon (in ctmirror.org June 24, 2019).

THIS IS SERIOUS: THE ANTIFA MOB ATTACKS RECENTLY IN PORTLAND, OREGON.
Outrageous actions like this, and the reported order by Portland's
mayor for the police to stand down instead of effectively suppressing
such illegal action, invite other people and groups take the law into
their own hands - also violently. In a societal climate long simmering,
it would not take many more of such events to produce a boil long point
before the crucial 2020 election.
And don't assume that only the Leftist delusionals are inflamed. The
"Silent Majority" is watching and listening...and it has about "had it
up to here".

FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC - AND ESPECIALLY FOR PHYSICIANS WHO ARE AT
GREATER RISK -
this should serve as an important warning about their vulnerable health
in these very stressful times.
There are various kinds of stressors for all of us. But the worst is
RESENTMENT, a psychologic acid born of lack of control over one's life
and labors. That is the stressor that will result in cancer and sudden
death.
Physicians were not self-selected to become impotent victims of the
world around them. They require significant Control over their work in
order to be effective, in their work and in their lives.
Colleagues: If
I am describing you and your situation...get the hell out of there
while you still have your health, your family, your self-image, and
your effectiveness as a care-giver. The First Rule Service is Survival.
"CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?"
As the Leftists clowns and their enfeebled erstwhile moderate Democrats
make fools of themselves,
President Trump makes history and pushes toward Peace. The reckoning
will come in November, 2020.
A NATION
WORTH LAUDING --
--- from Heritage Foundation:
This week, as Americans commemorate Independence Day and the creation
of the most free, most prosperous nation on earth, we will inevitably
hear from those who say there’s no reason to celebrate a country where
not everyone gained their freedom or their equality in 1776. They will
say that a nation stained with the evil of slavery, a nation that once
refused women and blacks the right to vote or hold property, isn’t a
nation worth lauding.
As a woman and as a black person who lived through segregation, I have
experienced both the inequality and the opportunity of this nation. As
a student of history and as someone who works with governments around
the world, I know how women and minorities are treated in other
societies compared to the United States. Because of these experiences,
I want to tell you exactly why America is worth celebrating.
Despite their flawed nature as human beings, our Founders laid out
principles for forming a nation based on humanity’s highest ideals.
Nowhere else on earth had that ever been done before. Those founding
principles have guided this nation and created a framework that allows
society to recognize the error of its ways. The fact is, we
abolished slavery. We even fought a war over it. We ultimately
recognized women’s and minorities’ right to vote, to own property, and
to have the full and equal rights of any other citizen. We have
endeavored through our laws and our actions to eradicate the unequal
treatment and marginalization of fellow Americans because of their
ethnicity, religion, politics, or other characteristics.
July 4, 1776 — and the principles that day epitomized — began the
foundation for a nation that would right its own wrongs. The
unfortunate reality is that we had to grow into our principles. The
Founders knew what we aspired to be, but the country wasn’t there yet
and even today, we still have a ways to go. In fact, every Founder
admitted in his writings that slavery contradicted the equality
principle of the Declaration of Independence. They knew that it would
be a journey for us to fully realize our ideals, but they set a course
for achieving them, and every generation since has been working to
advance them. That’s what has made America the unique and wonderful
nation that it is.
I love America not only because we’ve grown to rectify many of our
wrongs, but also because we’ve been an incredibly positive force for
good. We’ve built a free and prosperous nation where anyone has the
opportunity to thrive and live out their dreams. We’ve also shared that
gift with the world, helping others to achieve the same.
Despite that success, we continue to hear from the “America is
irreparably flawed” crowd that our freedom and free market system only
bring opportunity to the wealthy and well connected. They claim that
the system just makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.
The reality is exactly the opposite: Capitalism has done more to lift
people out of poverty than any other economic system in history. Plain
and simple, over the last 25 years, it has been free markets that have
cut the global poverty rate by two thirds. In the United States, every
segment of the population — including women, minorities, and even the
lowest income earners — have seen their incomes rise and their
opportunities grow.
Realizing that people around the world deserve the same blessings of
freedom and prosperity that we have, Americans work through our
government, non-profits, and private charities to spread these
blessings to other countries. We’ve even helped others fight for their
very freedom — from both world wars to peacekeeping missions around the
world. Despite the leftists who call our nation imperialist, when we
help other countries defeat tyrants or repel invaders, we don’t use the
opportunity to conquer them and build an empire. Rather, we help them
to rebuild and become self-sufficient.
These are all proofs of a nation reaching for its highest ideals. While
it took too long to correct many of America’s early injustices, and
while we will always be a work in progress, our founding principles
themselves created the framework that has allowed us to solve some of
our biggest issues. While not perfect, we are a great force for good
that works to bring freedom, prosperity, and that problem-solving
ability to our own land and to others that want to replicate them. This
is all part of what we are celebrating on Independence Day. Alexis de
Tocqueville said admiringly of America, “The greatness of America lies
not in being more enlightened than any other nation, but rather in her
ability to repair her faults.” His words still ring true almost 200
years later. So, on this Independence Day, I encourage you to
join me in watching fireworks, eating hot dogs and apple pie, proudly
celebrating America, and continuing to work toward the vision of the
nation our Founders thought we could be. Happy Independence
Day!

NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN POLITICS - UNTIL THE VOTING:
"A chicken in every pot. A car in every garage".
ON THIS NATIONAL BIRTHDAY, WE SHOULD CONSIDER THE IMMIGRATION CRISIS
OUR GREATEST NATIONAL PROBLEM...
not China, not Russia, not North Vietnam, not Iran or Afghanistan.
And our greatest enemy now is the Leftist Democratic party.
Send them a message in November, 2020.
The
New Diversity in Congress Several
months ago, the 116th Congress was sworn in, and all day long, the
media was fawning over
the “remarkable diversity” of the new Democrat members. It
was a day of “firsts,” we were told repeatedly.
While
the new Democrat majority offers many members of note, we want to
highlight a few “firsts” who
are examples of the “diversity” that was sworn in then.
HERE
ARE OUR TOP MOST “DIVERSE” HOUSE FRESHMEN:
#1.
Ilhan Omar ·
The first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud
ever to be elected to
Congress. Omar is also the first open supporter of
female genital mutilation to ever be
elected to Congress. Such amazing diversity!
#2.
Rashida Tlaib One
of the first Muslim Brotherhood-linked and anti-Semitic candidates to
be elected to
Congress. She also
claims to be a Palestinian – not American. Wonders
never cease. Also
has potty mouth using the term "mother f***er" for the president.
#3.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ·
Where do we even begin?
Let’s just say she is the first person elected to Congress who lied
about being from the Bronx, and
thus, made up her life story. She’s
also an overt Marxist, in case you forgot.
#4.
Abigail Spanberger ·
The first substitute teacher from an Islamist school (nicknamed “Terror
High”) ever to
be elected to Congress.
#5
. Donna Shalala ·
Rep. Shalala was HHS Secretary from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton and
worked from 2015
to 2017 at the Clinton Foundation, and in 2016 she admitted in an
interview that some significant
Clinton Foundation donors received “courtesy
appointments” in the Clinton State
Department. To
top it off, apparently she can’t let go of politics: at 78,
she’s the oldest female House freshman
in history.
#6.
Krysten Sinema
The first bi-sexual atheist to be sworn into Congress.
She refused to take the oath of office on the Holy Bible.
These
are just a few examples of the “firsts” that the media has been
celebrating, those
who apparently show an open disdain and animosity for America as we’ve known
it for over 200 years.
