this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.

NEGOTIATIONS: A TIME TO TALK, AND A TIME TO WALK. I just read President Trump's statement on the early end to the Hanoi talks. This
was classic,and entirely the fault of the malign and ignorant Democrats
who timed their Cohen show to occur precisely at the same time. The
North Koreans hoped that Trump would thereby be weakened and more
malleable. Not Exactly. The President continues to be a good
Leader, with a good record of accomplishments despite the continued
treachery of the Democrats...for which they will pay dearly in 2020.

REGARDING GLOBAL WARMING, NUCLEAR ENERGY...AND THE "YEA, BUTS".
I
have been commenting on this subject since the late 1960's, when the
politicians began succeeding in scare-mongering the people about
nuclear energy. Since then, large swaths of the world have embraced
nuclear power as a substantial replacement for carbon - based power
generation - to their great advantage and to the benefit of global
warming concerns. All of the details supporting this position are clearly presented in the article by John Rie and Alan Emery: "THE NUCLEAR OPTION IS THE REAL GREEN DEAL" (in WSJ Feb. 26, 2019, Opinion, pA17). Will
this overcome the continuing hypocritical and self-serving efforts of
the carbon, solar, wind and hydropower supporters to attack nuclear
power as our best option, including the sudden resurrection of Harry
Reid from his hole in Utah? No. So who will come forward ? I don't know. But I will continue to provide the facts for those who are awake.

Abortion
is an Abomination, mainly the direct consequence of many women and
ladies degenerating into simply soul-less genetic females, always the
most dangerous of any species. Now it is I who must say: "Wha Hoppen?" Only God knows. "Vengeance Is Mine. I Shall Repay, Sayeth the Lord".
No,
not the mediocre crop of self - aggrandizing efforts being churned out
by Hollywood in recent years, to be touted in the Academy Awards
tonight. That's why I haven't been to a current offering in the last
nine months. But I can offer some good documentaries offered on
NetFlix - and at least one fine movie of recent years. Of course, that
movie was given only tepid reviews by the current "conoscenti".

"Oliver Stone's Untold History Of the U.S.A." Typical Oliver Stone, but interesting.
"Armistice."
"The Dark Charisma of Adolph Hitler."
The
2016 movie "ALONE IN BERLIN", based on a true story and on a book
published in 1947, starring the always excellent Emma Thompson and her
film husband - unknown to me but who also does a fine job. Both
terrifying and tender, the story reminds us of the importance of our
Freedom - never to be taken for granted, especially these days in
America.

Much of the news lately has been
dominated by stories about newly empowered politicians ripping the mask
off of their embrace of the culture of death.
On Nancy Pelosi's
very first day as Speaker of the House, she sought to roll back
pro-life policies. And she made it clear again that abortion is one of
her top priorities when she brought the CEO of Planned Parenthood as
her guest to the State of the Union.
I'm sure I don't need to
remind you of what happened the moment secular liberals gained control
of New York's Senate. And other states like Virginia, Rhode Island, and
New Mexico are trying to follow its lead by allowing babies to be
aborted up to the moment of birth.
And they are even allowing
babies that have already been born during abortion procedures to
struggle for their lives while the parents and doctors debate whether
to let them live.
In response, Senator Sasse (R-NE) put forth
the Born-Alive-Abortion-Survivors-Protection-Act to require medical
care for babies born alive during failed abortions. But Senator Patty
Murray (D-WA) blocked it. What has come of America?!
We cannot
allow the lie to continue that some lives just aren't as valuable as
others because of arbitrary standards or personal preferences. That is
the logic of slavery. It is profane to suggest that one person could
actually own another person and decide whether that person lives or
dies.

celebrating and congratulating themselves on these laws for their great

From before his election to the Presidency, Donald Trump signaled his
intention to attempt a diplomatic re-engagement with North Korea, China
and Russia, all powerful and dangerous adversaries. Besides their
OCD rantings against the results of the election, his opponents in "The
Swamp" are Charter Members in the "Military - Industrial Complex" that
former President Eisenhower warned against. They are doing very well
perpetuating a not-so-Cold War which could turn Hot and Radioactive
very easily. The President could actually succeed in these diplomatic efforts. Then would really come the Nobel Peace Prize, and the resultant apoplexy of thousands in Washington.

The explanation is brilliant. The politics the system produces is STUPID.

Tax System Explained in Beer
Suppose
that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes
to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go
something like this…
The
first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay
$12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that’s what they decided to do.
The
ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the
arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve ball. “Since
you are all such good customers,” he said, “I’m going to reduce the
cost of your daily beer by $20”. Drinks for the ten men would now cost
just $80.
The
group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the
first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But
what about the other six men ? How could they divide the $20 windfall
so that everyone would get his fair share?
They
realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that
from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each
end up being paid to drink his beer.
So,
the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill
by a higher percentage the poorer he was, to follow the principle of
the tax system they had been using, and he proceeded to work out the
amounts he suggested that each should now pay.
And
so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% saving).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% saving). The seventh now paid
$5 instead of $7 (28% saving). The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12
(25% saving). The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% saving). The
tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% saving).
Each
of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to
drink for free. But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare
their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20 saving,” declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,”but he got $10!”
“Yeah,
that’s right,” exclaimed the fifth man. “I only saved a dollar too.
It’s unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!” “That’s true!”
shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $10 back, when I got only
$2? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in unison, “we didn’t get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The
next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks so the nine sat down
and had their beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill,
they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money
between all of them for even half of the bill!
And
that, boys and girls, journalists and government ministers, is how our
tax system works. The people who already pay the highest taxes will
naturally get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much,
attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore.
In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is
somewhat friendlier.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY; THE PARTY OF DESTRUCTIVE
SELF-DESTRUCTION.
This
nation has always benefited from a two-party political system, and has
suffered with aberrant results when third party candidates were part of
the choices. Now the nearly daily - reconstructed Democratic Party
threatens to guarantee that situation for the 2020 election, the most
consequential election in decades.
Read the following recent
articles, all of them directly on point, to understand what's at stake.
They were all published in the WSJ. And they don't even address the
other problem: the identity crisis within the Republican Party, despite
having a party Leader - President Trump- who actually Leads.
Even life-long Democrats are beginning to sustain genetic modifications
under this radioactive barrage.
But "You can't beat something with nothing".
Republicans
and their Party must unite behind a set of principles that support and
benefit the vast majority of Americans,"Middle-Americans", who have
always been the backbone of this nation - but who have long been poorly
represented - until the cry for help expressed in the 2016 election.
That cry will be even more strident - and consequential - in 2020.

Branch of Federal Government";
the Bureaucracy, aka the Administrative Services legally under the
Executive Branch.
There
is abundant evidence, actively suppressed so far, of the malfeasance of
parts of the FBI, both in recent years and in past decades under
J.Edgar Hoover.
Another example is described by Dan Backer in his
report: "Why Is FEC Stalling On Clinton Scandal?" (in The Day Feb. 17,
2019, Opinion, pB4).
The public advocacy organization Judicial Watch provides more examples,
both past and currently being litigated.
This
is a direct and flagrant attack on our constitutional form of
government, supported and protected by elements of the same Swamp -
your perpetually re-elected Federal officials.
"IN A DEMOCRACY, THE PEOPLE ALWAYS GET WHAT THEY DESERVE".
But now, the national patient is going from "serious" to "grave"
condition.

Elci, in his excellent Feb.13, 2019 article in The Day, describes where
we are through President Trump's State of the Union message...and
through the "hostility and partisan sarcasm" and the mocking
expressions with which the President was met by the Leftists
and
their Democratic fellow-travelers.
"The most disrespectful and regrettable performance came from the Women
in White"..."Shame on them".
And
now we have a pending guaranteed succession of court actions, very
likely culminating in the USSC. It's just as well. Several Presidents
have challenged the Constitutional Separation of Powers. Time to
clarify.
Meanwhile, this country is seriously divided. Deep social
division, as Abraham Lincoln is quoted as having said, can lead to
either despotism or anarchy.
We have the coming 2020 elections to
help us all clarify. But for that we must have clear and distinct
choices. The current divided Republican Party will have to provide
those distinct choices, as articulated in a fine article by Peggy
Noonan ("Republicans
Need To Save Capitalism", WSJ Feb. 16-17, 2019, Opinion,
pA15).
The Chinese blessing (or curse) is apt here: "MAY YOU LIVE IN

by realistically intimidated physicians. CRAZY.

Whooping Cough, Tuberculosis, Gout. What IDIOCY. What IRRESPONSIBILITY.

"leaders" for our future!

The "Speech Police" haven't come for you and me - yet; but it may be
just a matter of time. One of the latest victims to be demoted is Bob

something...beginning with the 2020 elections.
4) Public Education
Politics, the Teachers' Unions and their enabling Democratic Party. The
malign opposition to school choice, to vouchers, to actual
accountability for students and teachers alike beats on...while your
children lose the competition of life at the starting gate. (See "Florida's

so many of you are doing NOTHING. SHAME.

Here's a "no-brainer" regarding veterans' access to health care - and
why it is being opposed by "the usual suspects" - the Democrats. (See "Veterans

From the Vatican to our neighborhoods, the leaders of the
Catholic Church do not seem to be getting the message: that another
large group of Catholic Faithful, the Laity, the Body of the Church,
are about to leave the Church, at least in form and in participation.
Nothing loud or obvious, but definite and hurtful to all. Where is
representation by the Laity at the coming 4 day conference in Rome?
Where is a meaningful understanding by the Vatican for the position and
initiatives of many American Bishops - instead of a gag order and a
trip to the shed...aka a mandatory meeting of a Vatican official with
"all" American Bishops, which many did not attend? "IS ANYBODY THERE?
DOES ANYBODY CARE?"
Thank you for a fine review of our current American Demography, and of
its political implications.
Of course, its lack of reference to pathophysiology (ie. causation) and
to any judgmental approach is understandable.here.

Do
you remember that word? Would you believe the email spell checker did
not recognize the word Mergatroyd? Heavens
to Mergatroyd! The
other day a not so elderly (I say 75) lady said something to her son
about driving a Jalopy and he looked at her quizzically and said "What
the heck is a Jalopy?" He
never heard of the word jalopy!! She knew she was old..... but not that
old. Well, I hope you are Hunky Dory after you read this and
chuckle. About
a month ago, I illuminated some old expressions that have become
obsolete because of the inexorable march of technology. These
phrases included "Don't touch that dial," "Carbon copy," "You sound
like a broken record" and "Hung out to dry." Back
in the olden days we had a lot of 'moxie.' We'd put on our best 'bib
and tucker' to' straighten up and fly right'. Heavens
to Betsy! Gee whillikers! Jumping Jehoshaphat! Holy moley! We
were 'in like Flynn' and 'living the life of Riley'', and even a
regular guy couldn't accuse us of being a knucklehead, a nincompoop or
a pill. Not for all the tea in China! Back
in the olden days, life used to be swell, but when's the last time
anything was swell? Swell has gone the way of beehives,
pageboys
and the D.A.; of spats, knickers, fedoras, poodle skirts, saddle shoes
and pedal pushers...AND DON'T FORGET.... Saddle Stitched Pants. Oh,
my aching back! Kilroy was here, but he isn't anymore. We
wake up from what surely has been just a short nap, and before we can
say, Well, I'll be 'a monkey's uncle!' Or, This is a 'fine
kettle
of fish'! We discover that the words we grew up with, the words that
seemed omnipresent, as oxygen, have vanished with scarcely a notice
from our tongues and our pens and our keyboards. Poof,
go the words of our youth, the words we've left behind. We blink, and
they're gone. Where
have all those great phrases gone? Let's all go to the beach
Saturday"... Long
gone: Pshaw, The milkman did it. Hey! It's your nickel. Don't forget to
pull the chain. Knee high to a grasshopper. Well,
Fiddlesticks! Going like sixty. I'll see you in the funny papers. Don't
take any wooden nickels. Wake up and smell the roses. It
turns out there are more of these lost words and expressions than
Carter has liver pills. This can be disturbing stuff! ("Carter's Little
Liver Pills" are gone too!) We
of a certain age have been blessed to live in changeable times. For a
child each new word is like a shiny toy, a toy that has no age. We at
the other end of the chronological arc have the advantage of
remembering there are words that once did not exist and there were
words that once strutted their hour upon the earthly stage and now are
heard no more, except in our collective memory. It's one of the
greatest advantages of aging. Leaves
us to wonder where Superman will find a phone booth... See
ya later, alligator! "Okey
Dokey” or “After While Crocodile”. WE
ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FABULOUS 50'S...NO ONE WILL EVER HAVE THAT

The Proposed EL CHAPO Act

Martial
arts expert Chuck Norris has never been known to back away from a
fight. But he just endorsed a solution to end the stalemate
between the Trump White House and congressional Democrats over funding
for a border wall.
With the partial shutdown of the
federal government having entered its third week, some members of
Congress have grown increasingly anxious to find a compromise solution
to end the current stalemate over a funding request for border security
and border wall construction.
Negotiations have stalled as
neither side has shown any indication they will waver, with President
Donald Trump continuing to demand roughly $5.7 billion to fulfill his
primary campaign promise while Democrats insist they will refuse to
provide even a single dime of taxpayer money to construct any sort of
physical border barrier.
However, there may be an
acceptable solution already on the table that would provide funding for
border wall construction without the use of taxpayer money — while also
fulfilling Trump’s promise that “Mexico will pay for the
wall.”
And that potential solution just received a huge boost of support from
actor, author, and martial arts expert Chuck Norris, in a commentary
piece for WND.
Norris drew attention to a piece of
legislation that was just re-introduced into the Senate by Republican
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz that would use the seized funds of convicted drug
cartel overlords for border security and border wall construction.
Cruz
cleverly named his bill the “Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden
Assets to Provide Order Act — or EL CHAPO Act — named for the arrested
kingpin of the Mexico-based Sinaloa drug cartel, Joaquin Archivaldo “El
Chapo” Guzman, from whom roughly $14 billion has been seized and would
be forfeited if El Chapo is convicted.
In a recent media
release, Cruz noted that Congress had a mandate to secure the border
and build a wall, and said, “Ensuring the safety and security of Texans
is one of my top priorities. Indeed, I have long called for
building a wall as a necessary step in defending our border.
“Fourteen
billion dollars will go a long way to secure our southern border and
hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals.
“By
leveraging any criminally forfeited assets of El Chapo and other
murderous drug lords, we can offset the cost of securing our border and
make meaningful progress toward delivering on the promises made to the
American people,” Cruz added.
In his column supporting Cruz’s idea, Norris wrote:
“If
you didn’t know, El Chapo is almost entirely responsible for the
majority of drugs that come up through the U.S. southern
border.
As the co-founder and head of the Sinaloa Cartel, he has been the #1
supplier of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamines into the
U.S. If you or your loved ones have ever tried or been
addicted
to illegal drugs, odds are they originated from the Sinaloa Cartel.”
Norris
proceeded to cite several examples of how widely the Sinaloa’s drug
trafficking network operated inside the U.S., as well as the vast
accumulation of wealth the cartel has received from illicit drug money,
and how the estimated $14 billion that would be forfeited upon El
Chapo’s conviction would be more than enough to cover the construction
of a border wall where necessary.
“Is Sen. Cruz’s EL CHAPO
Act not a brilliant idea to fund the border wall between the U.S. and
Mexico? And guess what? A Mexican pays for it after
all —
one evil individual who has repeatedly raped America’s communities and
the souls of millions through narcotics and other criminal acts for the
past three decades,” wrote Norris.
“Think of the impact
passing the EL CHAPO Act could have,” he continued. “First, El Chapo’s
drug monies could probably fund the completion of the entire U.S.
southern border wall without a single dime more from the federal
government or American taxpayers.
“Second, simultaneously
the majority of El Chapo’s own drug trafficking cartel into our country
would be greatly diminished using his own money.”
“Third, president Trump could fulfill his primary campaign promise.
“Fourth, the Democrats would be able to open the government the same
day the EL CHAPO Act passed,” Norris suggested.
He
added, “Let it be clear: Passing that single bill could be the
compromise they all are looking for, and it is the best win-win-win-win
solution the Congress and president could ever enact!”
Norris
is absolutely right in that this could very well be the best solution
to end the current impasse between congressional Democrats and the
Trump White House, as it allows both sides of the debate to emerge
“victorious” without having backed down from the face-off.
Trump
would obviously be the winner as he would achieve his oft-promised
border wall — and at the expense of Mexican criminals to boot — while
Democrats could claim victory in that they held fast on preventing
American taxpayer money from going toward Trump’s wall.
Meanwhile,
the American citizens would “win” by virtue of a much more secure
border with fewer illegal immigrants and drug smugglers successfully
crossing, protecting lower income jobs for Americans, and making the
entire nation safer and more prosperous.
Ted Cruz
reintroduced the bill on January 3, 2019. I'm sure that the main stream
media will never mention it, and I'm sure that it terrifies the
Democrats because it would paint them into an inescapable corner trying
to explain why they would not support it.
If you have any doubt
about the veracity of this bill all you have to do is google El Chapo
Act. Why hasn't this gotten any attention or traction in the
swamp? Unbelievable!
