RAPID
RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new
section. It will
offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.
GS
SOMETHING ELSE THAT IS MOST INTERESTING AND IMPORTANT. Now is certainly not the time to doze off politically again.
GS
It's Washington's dirty little secret ...
It allows power-hungry politicians of BOTH parties to spend your money like there's no tomorrow.
It makes deals with foreign countries and foreign banks in complete secrecy.
It bails out "Too Big to Fail" banks and favored corporations, picking winners and losers behind closed doors.
All the while, diminishing the savings many Americans work an entire lifetime to build.
I'm talking, of course, about the Federal Reserve, or "the Fed."
No institution holds more power over the future of the American economy and the value of our savings than the Federal Reserve.
That's
why the American people are demanding the Fed be reined in. And there's
no better way to start than by a full audit of the Fed.
And that's why I'm proud to champion the "Audit the Fed" bill in the U.S. Senate.
And
it's also why I've joined with America's Liberty Committee to help lead
the grassroots' effort to get Audit the Fed signed into law.
John
Tate and the team at America's Liberty Committee have been fighting
alongside me for years, and they are mobilizing millions of Americans
to pass Audit the Fed this Congress.
Now is the time to act.
Will you stand with me by signing your petition urging Congress to Audit the Fed right away?
By
the time Audit the Fed comes up for a vote, every member of Congress
must realize the eyes of the American people will be watching.
In
January, 2016, my Audit the Fed bill came to a vote in the Senate,
garnering majority support, 53-46, but falling short of the 60 votes
needed for cloture.
This, after Audit the Fed has overwhelmingly passed the House twice.
You and I should be very encouraged by our progress.
Truth is, it wasn't long ago that Audit the Fed was laughed at and ignored by the Washington establishment and financial elite.
But
then, after 3 years of grassroots pressure by good folks like you,
during my father's final term in Congress in 2012, Audit the Fed passed
the House by an astounding vote of 327-98.
By 2014, its support further increased, leading to another successful House vote of 333-92.
Additionally, President Trump declared his support for Audit the Fed during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Now,
I'm pleased to report that Audit the Fed is on the move once again this
Congress, but I need your help to bring it to a vote.
Just
recently, Audit the Fed was reported out of the House Oversight
Committee and added to the legislative calendar, meaning the only step
left is for Speaker Paul Ryan to schedule a vote!
That's why it's critical you sign your Audit the Fed petition to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) right away.
You see, passing Audit the Fed and sending it to President Trump's desk for his signature won't be easy.
Draining the Swamp never comes easy.
You can count on the Washington Machine opposing Audit the Fed every step of the way.
Why the opposition, you may wonder?
It's
because the Fed can create new money out of thin air and spend it on
whatever it wants, whenever it wants -- giving that money to whichever
banks or even foreign countries it wants.
Meanwhile, politicians in Washington can keep the Big Government gravy train rolling.
The
result -- constant devaluation of the dollar and future generations
being swallowed up by TRILLIONS in debt. That's why Audit the Fed is so
critical to restoring sound money, a constitutionally-limited
government, and our very liberty.
Without the Fed's easy money
policies, politicians can't continue kicking the can down the road,
bailing out "Too Big to Fail" banks and corporations, or expanding the
welfare-warfare state.
And Big Government boondoggles like ObamaCare would implode.
The Federal Reserve is the "enabler" of Washington's spending problem.
Congress knows that if taxing and borrowing can't get them out of a jam, the Fed will be there to bail them out.
Well,
it's time Congress knows you and I have had enough of the Fed's secret
backroom deals and harmful policy decisions that hurt everyday
Americans.
That's why I'm asking you to please sign your Audit the Fed petition to Paul Ryan immediately!
The Fed has proven time and again it cannot be trusted and must be audited.
While
the banksters' dangerous schemes have been going on for years, the
bailouts after the 2008 financial crisis that shook our country exposed
the trillions of dollars being stolen from the American people.
It is time to Audit the Fed and shine a bright spotlight on the largest theft in American history.
National
opinion polls consistently show that nearly 75% of the American people
think it's wrong for the Fed to operate shrouded in secrecy and without
accountability!
And it's critical that America's Liberty Committee has your help in demonstrating that grassroots support to Congress.
If
the public's attention is fixed on this battle, politicians in Congress
will be forced to recognize -- or defy to their peril -- the massive
public support of Audit the Fed.
Then we'll see who dares to stand with the Fed...
... And who stands with transparency, sound money, and the American people.
So please sign your petition to Speaker Paul Ryan immediately.
And
once you've signed, please pitch in $10 or $25 to help America's
Liberty mobilize millions of Americans in support of Audit the Fed.
Your contribution will help counter the coming attacks from opponents of Audit the Fed.
America's Liberty has a plan to pump up pressure and pass Audit the Fed, including: • TV and radio ads, targeting swing votes in key states and districts;
•
Digital media ads, highly cost-effective and impactful micro-targeted
ads to constituents most likely to contact their Congressman and
Senators at the critical time;
• Contact directly by email and
direct mail up to 10 million supporters, urging them to demand their
Senators and Representatives vote for Audit the Fed;
• Crank up phone banks in the days before the vote to really make Congress feel the heat;
• A public affairs blitz, including op-eds, talk shows and news conferences in key states and districts. It's critical that Congress hears loud and clear from the nearly 75% of Americans who support Audit the Fed.
Of
course, Congress may choose to keep the easy money flowing by siding
with the Fed, rather than the majority of their constituents.
But
time and again, when politicians defied the public and voted for Fed
secrecy, they've paid the price with the end of their political
careers!
Of course, this whole effort will be very expensive. The initial budget for this program is over $1.3 million.
And an all-out media, mail, and phone blitz to mobilize massive public pressure on Congress will cost even more.
To
pay for the expensive ads, mailings, phone banks, and other efforts,
it's urgent you send a special contribution to America's Liberty
Committee today.
Will you pitch in $10 or $25 to launch the next crucial phase for ultimate passage of Audit the Fed?
It's vital you act immediately to put the politicians' feet to the fire to bring Audit the Fed up for a vote.
Unlike the Fed, America's Liberty Committee doesn't have (or want) the power to print money out of thin air.
So it depends on generous folks like you.
Some folks have already sent $100 and even more. For others, a contribution of $50 has been as much as they could afford.
Without
your contribution of $10 or $25, America's Liberty Committee won't be
able to contact 10 million Americans, pay for advertising, or do
anything else to pass Audit the Fed and expose the Federal Reserve.
And if you and I don't press forward now, we may never have a chance like this again.
Please help today.
george, don't let the Swamp stop Audit the Fed!
Let's make sure Speaker Paul Ryan brings Audit the Fed to a vote!
Help me flood Paul Ryan's office with Audit the Fed petitions ASAP.
And after you sign, please chip in $10 or $25 to America's Liberty Committee.
President Trump has stated his support for an audit. Let's send Audit the Fed to the president's desk this Congress.
Thank you for your support!
For Liberty,
Rand Paul, M.D. U.S. Senator (R-KY)
P.S.
After years of being mocked by the political Establishment and
financial elite, Audit the Fed is once again on the verge of a vote in
Congress.
All that stands between you and me and the House passage of Audit the Fed is House Speaker Paul Ryan scheduling a vote!
Don't let this historic opportunity slip away. Let's pass Audit the Fed and send it to President Trump's desk this Congress!

FUNNY...if you have any sense of humor left after this first Trump year.
TODAY I WRITE ABOUT A GREAT STATE AND NATIONAL ASSET WHO IS ABOUT TO RETIRE: CHRIS POWELL, OF THE JOURNAL INQUIRER. Say it isn't so, Chris.
For
decades, this journalist and truth-teller has been exposing Democratic
incest and resulting political idiocy in the State and state of
Connecticut. Now comes a fine and summarizing interview conducted
by Keith M. Phaneuf (www.ctmirror.org, 1.28.18) that hits every
dissonant chord that is the cacophony of this State. It is a "must
read" for anyone who has not been reading every one of his articles
throughout these decades - as I have. Nowhere else could you get the
unvarnished truth about this undemocratic State. "You want the
truth?" Check out his most recent column, and I fervently hope not his
last, re-published in The Day (www.theday.com) and entitled: "UConn's PC Hysteria Invites A Breakdown" (Jan. 28, 2018, Opinion, pB4). As always: BARABING!
THIS IS GOOD NEWS FOR PATIENTS WITH SLEEP ISSUES. Sleep Specialists are swamped with evaluations, resulting delays in attention. Attentive non-sleep specialists who take a little time can make the diagnosis as well, then leading to specific treatment. I
have diagnosed scores of patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea,
actually an epidemic in recent years, by using three tests: a careful
History, a Sleep Questionaire, and an Overnight O2 Saturation Test
performed in the home.
Remember: good quality and quantity of Sleep is vital to good health. OSA
untreated can result in refractory high blood pressure,
gastro-esophageal reflux, obesity, diabetes, heart attack and stroke.
What a difference a century makes! Here
are some statistics from the year 1917!
The average life expectancy for
men was 47 years.
Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
The average US wage in 1910 was 22 cents per hour.
Ninety percent of all Doctors had NO COLLEGE EDUCATION!
Most women only washed their hair once a month and the shampoo was Borax or
egg yolks
The population of Las Vegas, Nevada was only 30.
Marijuana, heroin, and morphine were all available over the counter at local
corner drugstores.
Fuel
for cars was sold in drug stores only.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
The average US worker made between $200 and $400 per year.
Coffee was fifteen cents a pound.
The Five leading causes of
death were:
1. Pneumonia and influenza
2. Tuberculosis
3. Diarrhea
4. Heart disease
5. Stroke
There were about 230 reported
murders in the ENTIRE U.S.A. !
Only 14
percent of the homes had a bathtub.
The tallest structure in the world
was the Eiffel Tower.
More than 95 percent of all births took place at home
Sugar cost four cents a pound.
Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.
Two out of every 10 adults
couldn't read or write.
Only 6 percent of all Americans
had graduated from high school.
It is impossible to imagine
what it may be like in another 100 years.

IMMIGRATION POLICY FOR AMERICA: GS EDITION.
I have said many times in this Rapid Response section: 1) You cannot have a nation without immigration control. 2) Ellis Island was our first immigration control site. 3) De Facto Immigration control has been INTEGRATION. 4) Internment has had to be used in emergency cases. 5)
Our current immigrant problem has been the result of "that great
sucking sound" in reverse: business drawing illegals in - and
government looking the other way - each for selfish and cynical reasons. 5) "Amnesty" is a highly charged and inaccurate characterization, a fig leaf for the inevitable results of #5. 6) I was in favor of the "Dreamer Act" from the outset, including the children and their parents - a "No-Brainer". 7)
Given today's circumstances, effective Border impediments - to our
South and now to our North as well - are vital for our national and
economic security.
It is time for cynical Republicans, craven
Democrats and a somnolent citizenry to DO THE RIGHT THING. President
Trump's position on all of this is accurate, helpful and doable. How many times do I have to say all of this?

REGARDING ADEQUATE SLEEP, IN QUANTITY AND QUALITY... Now hear this: adequate sleep is the single most important controllable factor for GOOD HEALTH. It
is also the most abused and overlooked, other than the other miserable
"life style habits" - which are responsible for over 50% of all
illnesses and health care costs. Sleep disturbances are Diagnosable and Treatable. TALK
TO YOUR DOCTOR. And if he or she isn't thinking straight because of
sleep deprivation also, Run, Don't Walk to the nearest Sleep Specialist! The life and quality of life you save Will be your own, for decades to come.
RECENTLY, I WAS ACCUSED OF BEING "OLD SCHOOL". What a Wonderful Compliment. Now
comes an excellent article cum book review by Peggy Noonan regarding
the work and the second book of Psychology Professor and clinician
Jordan Peterson. "Who's Afraid Of Jordan Peterson?", WSJ Jan. 27-28, 2018, Opinion, pA13. The
article is generous with direct quotes from the book: statements and
advice that are clearly "Old School" rather than the tripe that passes
for learning (forget "Wisdom") in the "Halls of Academia" today. All
members of generations following the "Baby Boomers" - and some of them
also - would be well advised to read these offerings, while they look
for "meaning in life", or "for a mother", or for despotic control over
their environment. A breath of fresh air.

HERE'S AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE: Around the World in 80 Opinions.
1) Global Warming: "He said. She Said". See my web site section "The Arctic and Global Warming". 2) Wha Hoppen? Vermont is becoming California East. Meanwhile, "New California" is a good idea. 3)
"Liberals" and "Lefties". For nearly 30 years before and 30 years since
I was abandoned by the Democratic Party, I have been a fiscal
conservative with a conscience. Now we have "Lefties"...always
irresponsible in their views, and now delusional and vicious. 4)
Canada. Untra-Liberal government welcomes all manner of Muslims.
America has to consider defending its Northern border for the first
time since the American Revolution. And Health Care access there is a
joke. See: "Single - Payer Health Care Isn't Worth Waiting For", by Sally C. Pipes, WSJ Jan. 22, 2018, Opinion, pA17. 5) Mexico. A capital of inequality and corruption...including The Church, which forbade "Liberation Theology" decades ago. 6) South American nations. Also chronically corrupt (see Brazil, Argentina...). "FOR CHRIST'S SAKE: POOR IS POOR". 7)
"Brexit"...and exit from common sense as they invite all manner of
immigrants without integration. Probably a guilty conscience. 8) France, Germany. Ditto. 9)
Former Eastern European captives of the despotic Soviet Union. Now
chafing under the increasingly despotic European Union - and turning to
rising nationalism and populism. See Hungary and Poland. See: "Poland Blots Out Walesa's Historic Role", WSJ Jan. 23, 2018, pA1. See: "A Fractured World: Nationalism Is Growing - and Changing", WSJ Jan. 23, 2018, pR1. 10) Russia. Always despotic. Never Trust. Never ignore. Always engage. 11) Turkey. Increasingly Muslim, but: "I can't spare that man. He fights". 12) Iraq, Afghanistan. Untrustworthy. America's Eastern Front for decades to come. Unfortunate but true. 13) Iran. A Russia wannabe. Don't trust. Engage aggressively. 14) The entire Middle East. "CAUTION: HOT". Egypt: sui generis. Assist. Saudi Arabia. "Trust but verify". Changing...maybe. Israel. Thank God for Israel. To paraphrase President Kennedy, in English: I AM A JEW. See: Pence Visits Israel's Capital", WSJ Jan. 24, 2018, Opinion, pA19. India. A boiling cauldron. Handle with Care. 15) Pakistan. Untrustworthy. Act accordingly. 16)
China. An adversary more dangerous than Russia, both being oriental
nations - neither Occidental. But must always be engaged. 18 - 80) To be continued...
Meanwhile: AMERICA FIRST! "Don't stop the World. I'm staying on".

Putin gets standing ovation
You probably WON'T see this in the U.S. news media...
No wonder Putin was selected by Forbes Magazine as the most powerful person in the world. This is one time our elected leaders should pay attention to the advice of Vladimir Putin. I would suggest not only our leaders, but every American citizen should pay attention to this advice. It
is a sad day when a communist leader makes more sense than so many of
our elected officials in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of
Representatives, but here it is!
Putin addressed Duma (the Russian Parliament) and gave a speech about tensions with minorities in Russia:
"In
Russia, live like Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants
to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, it should speak Russian,
and should respect all Russian laws. If they prefer Sharia Law, and
wish to live the life of Muslims, then we now clearly advise them to go
and live in those places where that's the state law.
Russia
does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will
not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit
their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'!
We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture.
We
had better learn from the suicides of so-called democracies -- America,
England, France, Germany, and Holland -- if we are to survive as a
nation.
The Muslims are taking over those countries, BUT they will NOT take over Russia!
Our Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of Sharia Law and Muslims.
When
this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should
have in mind the Russian national interest FIRST, observing that the
Muslim minorities ARE NOT Russian.”
The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation.

ALL OF THIS IS TOO DIABOLICAL TO MAKE UP, OR EVEN TO IMAGINE.
God Help Us to get through this debasement of Humanity.
WHAT? A VOICE OF REASON CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS? And something is definitely wrong when there is an ICD - 10 code, among over 60,000 other codes, for "Had argument with in -laws." I kid you not.
Here we are told that hospital
systems "have to start thinking about patients as customers, too..." We
are told that "other companies like Amazon, Google, Aetna and CVS are
investing in new health care technology and products outside of
hospital-based systems".
"Yup, you bet", as the speaker
reportedly "compared the company's peers to elephants: huge companies
taking over the health care industry".
That's exactly what
will happen if health care providers (physicians, nurses and their
"suits" representatives) compete by the elephants' rules - and by the
government's rule: "less is more". They will be trampled.
Meanwhile,
people and patients have not changed - and will not change - in their
health care needs and core requirements. Those needs will expand.
And they will simply lose in every way. What to do?
Effect
Medical Mal-Practice Reform, thereby saving a third of current medical
costs wasted in "Defensive Medicine". In the process: yes: TAKE ON THE
TRIAL BAR and their thousands of political representatives. The People
are vastly more numerous.
Pay physicians and nurses what they
are worth, according to education, training and experience - and their
COMMITTMENT to this noble and vital profession. For the last three
decades we have been the victims of Theft of Services of at least 30%
of what we should be earning based upon the value of our work.
Restore
collegiality and cooperation to the relationship between health care
providers and the business people, instead of the current "win - lose"
attitude too often found in current relationships, an attitude which is
highly corrosive among the physicians and nurses who actually take care
of people.
This is what the People want and need. Not the
obscene profits accumulated by the elephants and their riders. That
will not happen if the Health Care Professions and the Public that they
serve simply play by the elephants' rules. So: WAKE UP, before it's too
late. We are nearly there.
TODAY, JANUARY 22, 2018, THE 45TH ANNIVERSARY OF ROE V. WADE, another day "...that shall live in infamy". Abortion continues to be the ultimate debasement of human nature, and especially of womanhood. Please read and study the following letter by Bishop Michael R. Cote, D.D., Bishop of Norwich, Ct. The soul you save may be your own.
WOW! WHAT A CONCEPT. And is the NYTimes going to run with this wise move, or is it going to screw it up with inane and desperate commentary? We are Not "deplorables". We are Not "circus freaks". "I cannot spare this man. He fights".
REGARDING THE IMPORTANCE OF ACCESS IN HEALTH CARE... We were
taught in Medical School that the three most important attributes of a
physician to a patient are Ability, Affability and Availability - IN
REVERSE ORDER! I took that message to heart. During almost all of my
60 years in the practice of Medicine...and counting...I have been
available to all of my patients all of the time: 24/7, directly through
my three phone numbers. I don't call it "Boutique" or
"Concierge" Medicine. I don't charge extra for it. I just do it as
part of good Medicine, Specialty Care and with Coordination of Care
among my patients' other physicians. For this, I require only one
thing: that patients do their part in dealing with their own care. I
don't do things For patients. I do them With patients...or I don't do
them at all. And for that I have been called "a living and breathing
anachronism". Well, "No Brag. Just Fact".
I WISH THAT I HAD WRITTEN THIS MYSELF. But all the sentiments expressed herein are collected in my "Rapid Response" offerings dating back to March, 2003.
There is one comment that I will definitely attribute to myself: THIS IS WAR.
GS
From a conservative democrat. Remember them?
Here’s an article that ALL Americans should read….
Junk yard dog!
This
is what so many of us have been saying...but this guy sure says it
better. Love this junk yard dog named Trump! He is just what we
need right now! Got to read this!
Marshall Kamena is
a registered democrat and was elected mayor of Livermore, CA.. He ran
on the democratic ticket as he knew a Bay Area city would never vote
for a republican. He is as conservative as they come. He wrote the
following and it is a good read: Trump's lack of decorum, dignity, and statesmanship My
Leftist friends (as well as many ardent #NeverTrumpers) constantly ask
me if I'm not bothered by Donald Trump's lack of decorum. They ask if I
don't think his tweets are "beneath the dignity of the office." Here's my answer: We
Right-thinking people have tried dignity. There could not have
been a man of more quiet dignity than George W. Bush as he suffered the
outrageous lies and politically motivated hatreds that undermined his
presidency. We tried statesmanship. Could there be another human
being on this earth who so desperately prized "collegiality" as John
McCain? We tried propriety – has there been a nicer human being ever than Mitt Romney? And
the results were always the same. This is because, while we were
playing by the rules of dignity, collegiality and propriety, the Left
has been, for the past 60 years, engaged in a knife fight where the
only rules are those of Saul Alinsky and the Chicago mob. I don't
find anything "dignified," "collegial" or "proper" about Barack Obama's
lying about what went down on the streets of Ferguson in order to ramp
up racial hatreds because racial hatreds serve the Democratic Party. I
don't see anything "dignified" in lying about the deaths of four
Americans in Benghazi and imprisoning an innocent filmmaker to cover
your tracks. I don't see anything "statesman-like" in weaponizing the
IRS to be used to destroy your political opponents and any dissent.
Yes, Obama was "articulate" and "polished" but in no way was he in the
least bit "dignified," "collegial" or "proper." The Left has been
engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the
'60s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred
and nothing is seen as beyond the pale.. It has been a war they've
fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies from
day one – the violent take-over of the universities – till today. The
problem is that, through these years, the Left has been the only side
fighting this war. While the Left has been taking a knife to anyone who
stands in their way, the Right has continued to act with dignity,
collegiality and propriety. With Donald Trump, this all has come to an
end. Donald Trump is America 's first wartime president in the Culture
War. During wartime, things like "dignity" and "collegiality"
simply aren't the most essential qualities one looks for in their
warriors. Ulysses Grant was a drunk whose behavior in peacetime might
well have seen him drummed out of the Army for conduct unbecoming. Had
Abraham Lincoln applied the peacetime rules of propriety and booted
Grant, the Democrats might well still be holding their slaves today.
Lincoln rightly recognized that, "I cannot spare this man. He fights." General
George Patton was a vulgar-talking. In peacetime, this might have seen
him stripped of rank. But, had Franklin Roosevelt applied the normal
rules of decorum then, Hitler and the Socialists would barely be five
decades into their thousand-year Reich Trump is fighting. And
what's particularly delicious is that, like Patton standing over the
battlefield as his tanks obliterated Rommel's, he's shouting, "You
magnificent bastards, I read your book!" That is just the icing on
the cake, but it's wonderful to see that not only is Trump fighting,
he's defeating the Left using their own tactics. That book is Saul
Alinsky's Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals' war
against America that it is and was the playbook for the entire Obama
administration and the subject of Hillary Clinton's senior thesis. It
is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would
dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most
indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer. Trump's tweets may
seem rash and unconsidered but, in reality, he is doing exactly what
Alinsky suggested his followers do. First, instead of going after "the
fake media" — and they are so fake that they have literally gotten
every single significant story of the past 60 years not just wrong, but
diametrically opposed to the truth, from the Tet Offensive to Benghazi,
to what really happened on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri — Trump
isolated CNN.. He made it personal. Then, just as Alinsky
suggests, he employs ridicule which Alinsky described as "the most
powerful weapon of all."... Most importantly, Trump's tweets have put
CNN in an untenable and unwinnable position. ... They need to respond.
This leaves them with only two choices. They can either "go high" (as
Hillary would disingenuously declare of herself and the fake news would
disingenuously report as the truth) and begin to honestly and
accurately report the news or they can double-down on their usual
tactics and hope to defeat Trump with twice their usual hysteria and
demagoguery. The problem for CNN (et al.) with the former is that, if
they were to start honestly reporting the news, that would be the end
of the Democratic Party they serve. It is nothing but the
incessant use of fake news (read: propaganda) that keeps the Left
alive. Imagine, for example, if CNN had honestly and accurately
reported then-candidate Barack Obama's close ties to foreign terrorists
(Rashid Khalidi), domestic terrorists (William Ayers), the mafia (Tony
Rezko) or the true evils of his spiritual mentor, Jeremiah Wright's
church. Imagine if they had honestly and accurately conveyed the evils
of the Obama administration's weaponizing of the IRS to be used against
their political opponents or his running of guns to the Mexican cartels
or the truth about the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the
Obama administration's cover-up. So, to my friends on the Left —
and the #NeverTrumpers as well — do I wish we lived in a time when our
president could be "collegial" and "dignified" and "proper"? Of course
I do. These aren't those times. This is war. And it's a war that the
Left has been fighting without opposition for the past 50 years. So,
say anything you want about this president - I get it - he can be
vulgar, he can be crude, he can be undignified at times. I don't care.
I can't spare this man. He fights for America! ----------------------------- ----------------------- How
well does Marshall Kamena articulate exactly WHAT Trump is doing,
which we KNOW we like, but are not able to explain WHY!!
Way to go, Marshall.

THE DEADLY FLU THIS YEAR: PERHAPS NOT SO STRANGE. The pandemic of 1918 killed more healthy people than sick or elderly people. That tragedy and this developing one may have the same explanation: an
Immune System Inflammatory weapon that is too often a blunt instrument
rather than a scalpel - a reaction that itself kills the patient
through fulminating sepsis rather than does the infection. This should
have immediate implications for treatment. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED ARTICLES...AND STAY INFORMED.

THE LAWYERS' PARTY!
Very interesting.
A LAWYER WITH A BRIEFCASE CAN STEAL MORE THAN A THOUSAND MEN WITH GUNS.
This is very interesting! I never thought about it this way.
The Lawyers' Party, By Bruce Walker
The Democratic Party has become the Lawyers Party.
Barack Obama is a lawyer. Michelle Obama is a lawyer.
Hillary Clinton is a lawyer. Bill Clinton is a lawyer.
John Edwards is a lawyer. Elizabeth Edwards was a lawyer.
Every Democrat nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate).
Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school.
Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:
Harry Reid is a lawyer. Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.
The Republican Party is different.
President Bush is a businessman.
Vice President Cheney is a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.
House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer
The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.
Who
was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who
left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination
as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976.
The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.
The
Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who
create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist,
or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich. The Lawyers Party
sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people
want, as the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession
of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers Party, grow.
Against
whom do Hillary and Obama rail?...Pharmaceutical companies, oil
companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large
retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in
our nation. This is the natural consequence of viewing everything
through the eyes of lawyers. Lawyers solve problems by successfully
representing their clients, in this case the American people. Lawyers
seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press
appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse
language to favor their side.
Confined to the narrow practice of
law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation.
When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and
other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system
in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become adverse
parties of our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast
social class-action suit. We are citizens of a republic that promises
us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.
Today,
we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are
driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once
private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place
is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most
important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to
the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too
big.
When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our
efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the
role of litigation in America has become crushing.
Perhaps
Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation
by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and
business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the
mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work.
Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more
power will only make our problems worse.
The United States has
5% of the world’s population and 66% of the world’s lawyers! Tort
(Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several
times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous
lawsuits such as spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the
establishment that sold it to you and also to limit punitive damages in
huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually
been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you
see that 97 % of the political contributions from the American Trial
Lawyers Association go to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is
responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

"WHEN THEY SOW THE WIND, THEY SHALL REAP THE WHIRLWIND" (Hosea, 8:7). What
began with atheistic and also evil people, always present but always in
a minority, morphed many decades ago into a "Secular Progressive"
movement that shunned God, religion and Faith and has instead worshiped
"reason", narcissism and the abandonment of all morals or ethics. That
state of affairs has seemed to find its capital in Hollywood. But it
has metastasized to vocal and powerful elements of society throughout
the world. It has been invading our schools and infecting our children
for a long time now - and is gaining strength with the help of the
apathy, ignorance and wilful non-involvement of the vast majority of
good people. How many symptoms of this disease can you recognize? Rampant crime, corruption and criminality - not only among "the usual suspects", but among "respectable" people and our leaders. Ingrained
drug addiction, resulting in wasting and wasted lives, depression,
suicide, family disintegration and many hundreds of unnecessary deaths
daily. Dissolution of marital gifts and responsibilities by many means, including now-commonplace infidelity. Children with no childhood...only bad examples and dimming futures. Violence. Violence. Violence...often merely for the sake of violence. The
"Me Toos", who made bad bargains long ago, and who are now trying to
cash in anyway on their predators - who had been effectively castrated
long ago in the continuing "battle of the sexes". The current NYTimes report: "Male Models Accuse Photographers of Sexual Exploitation": ditto "...bad bargains,." The
ever increasing number of persons confused about their sexuality and
groping for a sense of self. And some of them resorting to
proselytizing others, even children, in order to feel justified in
their own skin. "WHEN THEY SOW THE WIND, THEY SHALL REAP THE WHIRLWIND".

LAUS DEO - Do you know what it
means?
One detail that is never mentioned is that in Washington , D.C. There
can never be a building of greater height than the Washington Monument.
With all the uproar about removing the ten commandments, etc., this is
worth a moment or two of your time. I was not aware of this amazing
historical information.
On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.,
are displayed two words:
Laus Deo.
No one can see these words. In fact, most visitors to the monument are
totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably
couldn't care less.
Once you know Laus Deo's history, you will want to share this with
everyone you know. These words have been there for many years; they are
555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward
to the Father of our nation, over looking the 69 square miles which
comprise the District of Columbia, capital of the United States of
America.
Laus Deo! Two seemingly insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight
and, one might think, out of mind, but very meaningfully placed at the
highest point over what is the most powerful city in the most
successful nation in the world.
So, what do those two words, in Latin, composed of just four syllables
and only seven letters, possibly mean? Very simply, they say 'Praise be
to God!'
Though construction of this giant obelisk began in 1848, when James
Polk was President of the United States, it was not until 1888 that the
monument was inaugurated and opened to the public. It took twenty-five
years to finally cap the memorial with a tribute to the Father of our
nation,
Laus Deo
'Praise be to God!'
From atop this magnificent granite and marble structure, visitors may
take in the beautiful panoramic view of the city with its division into
four major segments. From that vantage point, one can also easily see
the original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles l'Enfant ..... a
perfect cross imposed upon the landscape, with the White House to the
north. The Jefferson Memorial is to the south, the Capitol to the east
and the Lincoln Memorial to the west.
A cross you ask? Why a cross? What about
separation of church and state? Yes, a cross;
separation of church and state was not,
is not, in the Constitution.
So, read on. How interesting and,
no doubt, intended to carry a profound
meaning for those who bother to notice.
When the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was
laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were many items
including the Holy Bible presented by the Bible Society.
Praise be to God!
Such was the discipline, the moral direction, and the
spiritual mood given by the founder and first
President of our unique democracy
'One Nation, Under God!
I am awed by George Washington's prayer for America ..... Have you ever
read it? Well, now is your unique opportunity, so read on!
'Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that Thou wilt keep the
United States in Thy holy protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts
of the citizens to cultivate a spirit of subordination and obedience to
government; and entertain a brotherly affection and love for one
another and for their fellow citizens of the United States at large.
And finally that Thou wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us all
to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean ourselves with that
charity, humility, and pacific temper of mind which were the
characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, and
without a humble imitation of whose example in these things we can
never hope to be a happy nation. Grant our supplication, we beseech
Thee, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.'

REGARDING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S REPORTEDLY INTEMPERATE REMARKS. REGRETTABLE
...BUT NOT RACIST.
I agree with Christopher Ruddy's comments, as provided below.
One personal comment: would you rather experience a silver stiletto in
your back? That is the usual modus operandi among the "nice" people.
GS
Donald Trump Is Not a Racist
By Christopher Ruddy
When I was young in the '70s, my dad told our oversized family to hop
in the station wagon. He was driving us from Long Island to Great
Adventure, a theme park much less expensive than Disney World, but just
as fun. At least it was for us.
During the past year, I find myself back in the fantasy land of Great
Adventure, with a free pass to the best rides, no less.
Today, we even have Beltway bumper cars, media water slides and
twittering carousels.
Today's latest ride erupted Thursday night with The Washington Post's
"no-named" sources story saying the president used profane language to
describe Haiti, El Salvador and some African countries.
At this point, it almost doesn't matter that the president was speaking
in a private conversation, the full context of his comments, or that
other presidents (think Johnson, Nixon) have said far, far worse in the
White House.
A rock has been thrown into the pond and the ripples are echoing
worldwide.
We've passed the point to calm people down, because the reporting,
accurate or not (Senator Durbin claims the reports are true), echoes a
president who likes to speak his mind and who comes from a generation
that didn't go to sensitivity training classes.
I decided to take a peek on how our press reports on the president's
alleged comments were impacting the countries mentioned.
In Haiti, for example, one of the country's largest newspapers
editorialized that President Trump's comments have "no place in the
relations between nations or people, even less so in the mouth of a
president of a friendly nation."
In Africa, the African Union issued a statement saying it is "alarmed
at the statements ... considering the slave trade ... and flies in the
face of all accepted behavior and practice."
The most stinging comments, however, come from a white columnist at the
influential South African website Times Live.
Remember, South Africa was, just over two decades ago, the apartheid
state that imprisoned Nelson Mandela.
Yet the South African people have worked hard to overcome their past to
bring people of all colors together. They did so because of the
leadership of Nelson Mandela.
I have been inside Mandela's tiny cell on Robben Island. There I
glimpsed into his pain. After that experience, I was in awe of how he
demonstrated courage and leadership by uniting his people, despite
every reason to do otherwise.
So, from this country, Times Live columnist Tom Eaton writes: "On the
rarefied world of untransformed and unrepentant racists, my tribe walks
shoulder to shoulder with the best of the worst, whether they be
Russians sniffing out Jewish tendencies, Indians obsessing over caste,
or Chinese gaping at black people. All of which makes me particularly
qualified to tell you something important. You are the real deal,
Donald … a gold-star racist."
I understand Mr. Eaton's anger. But his assessment of Trump is wrong.
Over many years, I have been in the company of Donald Trump in public
moments and many private ones.
I have been with him on his plane for hours; I was there with him in
Scotland when he opened his world-class club; I've been with him for
the Miss Universe pageant and too many times to count.
I don't know what President Trump said at the White House meeting. He
may have made some inappropriate comments. But I know one thing for
sure: Donald Trump is not a racist.
Inside this great man with a brusque exterior, you will not find a
racist bone.
Even in his most off-guarded moments, long before he was running for
president, I have never heard him utter any racist remarks,
anti-Semitic comments or ethnic slurs of any type. Sure, he has
occasionally used profanity through the years, but it was very rare.
Truthfully, Trump has prided himself on his good relations with
minorities. He is someone with a proven track record of developing
racial harmony.
But these facts don't matter because we are in fantasy land; everyone
sees their own reality. Clearly, people around the world have been hurt
— whether accidentally, deliberately or otherwise.
A simple beer in the Rose Garden won't make this one go away.
But the president can take steps to make the people of the world know
that he and America stands with them, to make this place called Earth a
better place, and to let them know the real Donald Trump.

We Are Suing YouTube for
Censoring Our Videos
Dear Valued Subscriber,
As
you know, PragerU’s videos are available on a number of platforms, one
of which is YouTube. And as you may also know, YouTube has chosen
repeatedly to restrict some of our videos for violating their
“Community Guidelines.” Those guidelines are meant to protect
users
against viewing sexual content, violent or graphic content, and hate
speech.
As a PragerU viewer, you know as well as I do that our videos contain
nothing even remotely close to any of these categories.
To
date, YouTube has restricted nearly 40 PragerU videos, addressing
topics ranging from religion and freedom of speech to the history of
the Korean War.
More than a year ago, we filed a complaint with YouTube, hoping that
there was some kind of innocent mistake.
That’s
when we were told by YouTube that after reviewing our videos, they
determined that they were, indeed, “not appropriate for a younger
audience.” Of course, we have this in writing.
Think about the millions of actually inappropriate videos on YouTube,
and then ask yourself, “Why is our content restricted?”
Unfortunately,
the answer is rather obvious, isn’t it? YouTube has
restricted PragerU
videos for only one reason: ideological discrimination.
Of course,
YouTube is owned by Google, which was founded to, ironically, “Organize
the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
YouTube has made some of our most important videos inaccessible to the
very audience PragerU seeks to reach: young people.
Let
me be clear: they don’t like what we teach, and so they intend to stop
us from teaching it. This kind of censorship is what we have seen on
college campuses for years. But it is far more dangerous in this
circumstance, because the internet is where the world goes to get
informed.
Can you imagine if the left owned the internet the way they own our
universities?
Can
you imagine what the world would look like if Google is allowed to
continue to arbitrarily censor ideas they simply don’t agree with?
Well,
this is why Prager University filed suit against YouTube and Google. We
are not fighting this only for PragerU—we are taking this on for
America and possibly the world.
Can we count on your support as we fight to end the censorship of our
conservative ideas by Google/YouTube?
Now, I have to tell you ... this was not an easy decision.
Over
the summer, former Governor of California, Pete Wilson — who has been a
longtime supporter of PragerU — approached us and posited the idea: “We
have to sue them,” he said. “Google is hubris.”
Those words weighed heavy on our entire team as we considered our
options.
Obviously,
a fight with Google will be hugely difficult and costly, and we hate
the idea of deploying energy and resources away from producing more
content and reaching new audiences. We simply cannot do that.
So,
before taking any such action, we decided we’d attempt a more
diplomatic approach one last time. On the one-year anniversary of
Google blocking our content, or the “BANniversary,” as we had come to
call it, we renewed our complaints to YouTube, and re-circulated an
online petition urging Google to change course. Many articles have been
written, and many people, including many very prominent and influential
people, rallied in support of our cause. To date, well over a
quarter-of-a-million people have added their names to our petition.
What was the result of our efforts?
Nothing. YouTube ignored us. In fact, they have since restricted 11
more PragerU videos.
With our hands tied, we knew Governor Wilson was right—Google’s hubris
had to be challenged.
So,
we have built an all-star legal team, including Governor Wilson’s law
firm, Eric George, Alan Dershowitz, Barak Lurie, Kelly Shackelford, Mat
Staver, and more.
It’s an impressive group, because this is an
important case; not only for PragerU, but for the fundamental American
right to freedom of speech.
But this is not going to be easy and it isn’t going to be cheap.
Despite
the fact that our amazing attorneys have agreed to reasonably cap their
legal fees, there will be additional personnel, research, marketing and
public relations costs to PragerU.
This case will be tried in the court of public opinion as much as in
the courtroom, and we intend to win in both venues.
However,
we cannot deplete our operating budget to fight this case. Thanks to
you, PragerU has reached more than 1-out-of-4 Americans on the
internet. Sixty-three percent of them are under 34. We plan to continue
to focus on this growth and reach 3 out of 4 Americans. We can’t let up
now.
We are fully committed to the lawsuit but we won’t let them slow the
growth of PragerU.
This
is why our board of directors and many staff members have donated, in
addition to our annual gift, to what we are calling the “YouTube Action
Fund.” Dennis Prager, Allen Estrin, and I have all given extra this
year.
Now, here is how you can help:
1. Please go to our
website and sign the petition against YouTube censorship. It already
has over 400,000 signatures; please add yours if you haven’t done so
already, and ask 10 of your friends to do the same.
2. More
importantly, please contribute to our action fund if you can, over and
above your planned support for PragerU. Our initial goal for the legal
fund is $1 million, and we think we can reach that goal with your help.
Many
of you have already given so generously and I am embarrassed to ask for
more. But if you think this fight is important please support us in
whatever way you can.
It seems like a lot to ask…until you consider how much we have to lose.
Perhaps Goliath could teach Google a little bit about where hubris
leads ... when a David comes slinging.

Get OFF YOUR KNEES
Daily Inter Lake, by Eileen F. Cosgrove
This
Sunday, it was 11 years since two Marines showed up at our door to tell
us that my husband’s first child, my stepson and our two children’s
brother, Lance Cpl. Christopher B. Cosgrove III, 23, was killed by a
suicide bomber at a checkpoint in Iraq. He should
have been
out of Iraq but he volunteered to stay behind to train the new Marines
coming to replace them. Christopher left behind his
mother,
father, stepmother and stepfather, his brothers and his fiancée.
I
watched as they informed my husband that his son, the love of his life,
died in the line of duty. I watched the strong man
I
married be reduced to a puddle of tears. When I sat
our
children on the couch to tell them that Christopher was gone, I watched
as my previously carefree 13 year-old son curled into a ball and began
sobbing as if I just punched him in the stomach, and I had to look at
my innocent 9 year-old son and answer his question, “Why didn’t
Christopher shoot the bad guy first?”
Several days later,
we had the privilege of attending his “dignified transfer” at Dover Air
Force Base. I’m sure you have seen it depicted on
television or in the movies. Viewing it reduces
most people
to tears. To actually experience it is
indescribable. The gut-wrenching, raw emotion of
the
experience is not anything an individual can prepare themselves for.
The sound of “Amazing Grace” as you walk behind the casket, the sound
of the 21 gun salute, the playing of “Taps” and the presentation of the
flag at his graveside cannot be described because there are no words
that can ever appropriately describe any of those
moments.
Looking up and seeing the Patriot Guard Riders lining the street to the
church and the cemetery is breath-taking. However, in the end, the
family goes home to live with the grief and loss for the rest of their
lives.
Christopher loved his life. He loved
being a Marine and he loved this wonderful country. He lit up a room
when he walked into it. His laugh was infectious.
Instead
of watching football today, we decorated his Memorial Tree with orange
lights and pumpkins for Halloween, which will be replaced by red, white
and blue lights at Christmas time. We no longer
watch the
NFL. They’re not worth our time.
I ask all of you taking a
knee: Do ALL black lives matter or just some? Because if they do, why
do you only protest the black lives lost as a result of police
action? Michael Brown was a
thug. Trayvon
Martin was a thug. Anthony Lamar Smith was a heroin
dealer.
How many lives he destroyed in the black community will forever be
unknown. Did any of you show up at the trial of
MS-13 gang
members who killed three innocent black teenagers and seriously wounded
a fourth in a school yard in Newark in 2007 to comfort the families or
any of the other trials of defendants who killed innocent
children? Did you ever show up at any of
the marches
against violence by preachers and parents who have lost children that
are held in the inner cities around this country?
Do you
care about the 506 people who have been killed in Chicago this year
alone, and the 751 killed last year? Did the
Chicago Bears
go out en masse to support those families? Have any
of you
taken the millions of dollars you make playing a game and establish
scholarships to private schools for inner city youth who are desperate
for a way out of their current circumstances with a mother or father
working several part-time jobs because their one full-time job was
eliminated by Obamacare requirements? Have any of
you
engaged in anti-gang violence programs in the inner cities you live
closest to? Gangs claim more black lives than
police ever
could or will.
Did any of you take a knee when your fellow
NFL player Aaron Hernandez lured a young black man to a desolate place
before he executed him because he didn’t trust him?
If you
did, I must have missed it. Did that black life not
matter
because he was taken by one of your own? What about
his
other victims? Did their lives not matter either?
What
about Cpl. Montrell Jackson assassinated in Baton
Rouge?
Did his black life not matter? What about his
infant son
who will grow up without his father because of the actions of followers
of BLM? What about the five Dallas Police Officers
killed
by a sniper? Did they deserve to die because they
were
protecting the BLM marchers rallying against them?
Did
Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu deserve to be ambushed in N.Y.
after BLM marched in the street chanting, “What do we
want?
Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!” Oh, I’m
sorry. I forgot. I guess “blue” lives don’t matter
to
members of the NFL, except to their credit, the Dallas Cowboys.
I
will not begin to presume how Christopher would feel about what the NFL
is doing now by disrespecting the national anthem and the country for
which he sacrificed his life. I can only share how
I feel.
I’ve
watched 8-year-old children emulating you as they took a knee as the
national anthem played. Do you know that the
tradition of
playing the national anthem began in 1862, during the Civil
War? Do those 8-year-olds know that the man they
are
disrespecting our flag and country for was a heroin dealer who fled the
police in a high-speed chase? Whether you believe
there was
a gun or not, a gun was recovered in the vehicle.
Do they
know that, or are you teaching them that all cops
lie? Did
his coach portray him to them as an innocent black man randomly shot by
the police or was he honest with them? What do you
think?
I
know what Christopher’s death did to our family. I
know
what the families of all those innocent children in Chicago and around
the country are going through, because we have been
there.
I know what it is to wake up every day having lost a part of your
family and knowing that your life will never, ever be the same.
So
while you are busy taking a knee, ask yourselves: Do all Black Lives
Matter? Or only the black lives killed by police
officers
trying to protect the very same community from the crime that surrounds
them, frequently committed by the very individuals who are killed by
the police?
Here’s my suggestion for all of
you. You should be on your knees thanking God for
giving
you the talent to play a game millions of young men would give their
right arm to be talented enough to play at the professional
level. Thank God for the ability to make more money
in a
single game than many of those police officers protecting you and your
communities will make in a lifetime. Thank God for
having
been blessed to have been born in a country that gives you that
opportunity for the sole reason that you are a gifted
athlete. Most of all, thank God for men like my
stepson who
fought in 120 degree heat in full military gear and died to defend your
ability to live freely in this country. Get off
your damn
knees. Stand for the American flag and national
anthem that
represents the country and those who have died defending her to give
you this opportunity, and DO something to prove that black lives
actually DO matter to you. Put your money where
your knee
is.
Get engaged in the inner-city communities around
you. Act as a role model and mentor to these
kids. Set up your own scholarship funds at decent
schools. Take a ride-along with those officers you
are
protesting and see what they face every day as they do their best to
protect ALL lives. Take a “Shoot, don’t shoot” class and see how
difficult it is for officers to make that split-second decision,
knowing that if they are wrong they will either die or go to
jail. Meet with the families of children killed in
random
drive-by shootings and support them instead of those committing the
crimes. Get to know some police officers and
actually talk
with them and, more importantly, listen to what they have to
say. Support anti-gang initiatives.
As for me,
once an avid football fan on every level, I haven’t watched you play
since Kaepernick started this protest last year.
I’ll watch
college games, which are more fun anyway. If
college
students start participating in these protests, I can easily live
without football. Your privileged, self-important,
hypocritical attitudes disgust me and millions of other patriotic
Americans. I owe it to Christopher and every other fallen soldier and
veteran to stand up against your blatant disrespect of our country, our
flag, our anthem, our military and our police officers.
Good riddance.

TOO MANY MEMBERS OF THE "BLACK COMMUNITY" ARE THE MOST RACIST
PEOPLE IN THE NATION.
Beware:
Those attitudes and actions will, if not ended, lead to another Civil
War. All the American citizens who came here since the 1600's and who
integrated into the American Community will not tolerate it. You and
your cynical and deluded Fellow Travelers will be hurled back two
hundred years if that happens.

Parents should stop paying tuition and should pull their overgrown
juveniles out of these "institutions of higher learning".
As
the saying goes: YOU CANNOT BE OLD AND WISE WITHOUT HAVING BEEN YOUNG
AND STUPID". Too many parents and children qualify today for the former
without yet having achieved the latter. When is that coming?

THE LEFTISTS AND THE SWAMP CREATURES ARE DELUSIONAL AND DESPERATE.
Faced with a "Russia collusion" investigation that has gone nowhere,
a
Comey / FBI investigation that now has the FBI and Hillary under
investigation, calls for "Impeachment" that can only be considered
irresponsible,
and faced with many effective domestic and
international actions taken by President Trump for which he was elected
- and which put these seditionists into a rage, they are now
questioning his sanity and waving the 25th Amendment.
Pitiful or hilarious, if it were not so outrageously unfair - and
serious.
And
the mainstream media, including the Washington Post, the NY Times and
unfortunately our own The Day continue to give it exposure.
How will all this end? Not soon. Stay tuned.
Senior
citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable
deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take
responsibility for all we have done and do not try to blame others.
HOWEVER, upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT
senior citizens who took:
The melody out of music,
The pride out of appearance,
The courtesy out of driving,
The romance out of love,
The commitment out of marriage,
The responsibility out of parenthood
The togetherness out of the family,
The learning out of education,
The service out of patriotism,
The Golden Rulefrom rulers,
The nativity scene out of cities,
The civility out of behavior,
The refinement out of language,
The dedication out of employment,
The prudence out of spending,
The ambition out of achievement or
God out of government and school.
And we certainly are NOT the ones who
eliminated patience and tolerance from
personal relationships and interactions with
others!
And, we DO understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who
have fought and died for our country.
Just
look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts,
as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts, as the
American Flag passes by in a parade!
YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!
I'm the life of the party.....Even if it lasts until 8 p.m. I'm very
good at opening childproof caps.....
With a hammer.
I'm awake many hours before
my body allows me to get up.
I'm smiling all the time,
because I can't hear a thing you're saying.
I'm sure everything I can't find is
in a safe secure place, somewhere.
I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy,
and that's just my left leg.
I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.
Yes,
I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life! Now
if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back
to them.
Or, maybe I should send it to all my friends anyway.
They won't remember, even if they did send it.
Spread the laughter Share the cheer. Let's be happy while we're here.
MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA AND MAY AMERICA
CONTINUE TO THANK GOD!!

ANY QUESTIONS?
GS
By Jeff Foxworthy:
If
plastic water bottles are okay, but plastic bags are banned, — you
might live in a nation (state) that was founded by geniuses but is run
by idiots.
WE DO LIVE IN SUCH A DUMB COUNTRY!!
If
you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not
for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in
a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If
you have to get your parents' permission to go on a field trip or to
take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live
in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If
you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check,
buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to
vote for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was
founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If the
government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding citizens from owning
gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but gives twenty F-16
fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt — you might live in a
nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If,
in the nation's largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not
one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you
fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is
run by idiots.
If an 80-year-old woman who is confined to
a wheelchair or a three-year-old girl can be strip-searched by the TSA
at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to
having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was
founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If your
government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars
of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that
was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If a
seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher
is "cute" but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade
school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was
founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If hard work and
success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and
intrusion while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks,
Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might
live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If
you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest
big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a
wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government
forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in
a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If
being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes
you more "safe" according to the government — you might live in a
nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
THINK
BEFORE YOU VOTE IN ALL UPCOMING ELECTIONS. MOST OF THE IDIOTS RUNNING
THIS COUNTRY SAY ONE THING AND DO THE OPPOSITE KNOWING THAT THE PEOPLE
WHO VOTED THEM IN DO NOT PAY ATTENTION
LET'S SEE IF I GOT THIS RIGHT!
IF YOU CROSS THE NORTH KOREAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU GET 12 YEARS HARD LABOR.
IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED INDEFINITELY.
IF YOU CROSS THE AFGHAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY, YOU GET SHOT.
IF YOU CROSS THE SAUDI ARABIAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE JAILED.
IF YOU CROSS THE CHINESE BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU MAY NEVER BE HEARD FROM AGAIN.
IF YOU CROSS THE VENEZUELAN BORDER
ILLEGALLY YOU WILL BE BRANDED A SPY AND YOUR FATE WILL BE SEALED.
IF YOU CROSS THE CUBAN BORDER ILLEGALLY
YOU WILL BE THROWN INTO POLITICAL PRISON TO ROT.
IF YOU CROSS THE CANADIAN or AMERICAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET…
SOCIAL INSURANCE CARD, WELFARE,
SUBSIDIZED RENT,
FREE EDUCATION, FREE HEALTH CARE,
BILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS PRINTED IN YOUR LANGUAGE
THE RIGHT TO CARRY YOUR COUNTRY'S FLAG WHILE YOU
PROTEST THAT YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH RESPECT
IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP AMERICA / CANADA!

WHILE ALL THE SILLY LITTLE PEOPLE HAVE AN ORGASM OVER BANNON'S
EGOTISTICAL MELT-DOWN, THIS IS LEADERSHIP.
THIS, FROM THE WASHINGTON POST, NO LESS.
Thus we now have two reliable oxymorons in our new and enlightened
Society:
1) "Internet Security"; and
2) Truth in public information.
"CAVEAT EMPTOR".
1) The player's hair fit under their helmets.
2) No tattoos could be seen.
3) There were no outlandish end zone celebrations.
4) There was no taunting.
5) Opposition players helped each other up after a play.
6) Footballs were not spiked or left for the referee to retrieve; they
were handed to the referee.
7) No one took a knee on the sidelines.
9) Players stood at attention during the playing of the national anthem.
10) It's great to watch an Army Navy game.

PAKISTAN. THE RIGHT MOVE, AND TOO LONG DELAYED.
Pakistan has been giving safe haven for years across its border for
those who have been fighting and killing our troops.
DOES ANYBODY CARE?
And where are the western nations, at least nominally Christian, that
could bring pressure to bear - at least economically.
Let's all just prepare to wring our hands...you cynics and cowards.
"THOSE WHO DO NOT KNOW HISTORY ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT"
And
there are today certainly a lot of them out there, thanks to our failed
public education system and our despotic "liberal" colleges.
