RAPID RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new section.  It will offer fresh, quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in this rapid-fire world of ours.  Of course, as in military campaigns, a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction.  Charge that to "the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or military campaign must maintain to be effective.  But the mission will always be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick", supported by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be pro-active.  That's all I promise.

America as the Last Man Standing

Geert Wilders is a Member of the Dutch Parliament.
In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: "Who lost Europe ?" Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom the Netherlands , at the Four Seasons in New York , introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem ..

Dear friends,
Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to America with a mission.  All is not well in the old world.  There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic.  We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe.  This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West.  The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First, I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe .  Then, I will say a few things about Islam.  To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem .

The Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks.  But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world.  It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen.  And if they are, they might regret it.  This goes for the police as well.  It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners.  The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe . These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe , street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe .  With larger congregations than there are in churches.  And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region.  Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam , Marseille and Malmo in Sweden .  In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim.   Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils.  In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims.  Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'.  Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin .  The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves.  Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels , because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II.  French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya , Israel ...  I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live.   San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now..  Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers.  And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate.  But there are few signs of that.  The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France ..  One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks.. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'.  And this is how we give them respect.  We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority.  We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey .

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots.   Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus.  I call the perpetrators 'settlers'.  Because that is what they are.  They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam.  Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries.  Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet.  His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized.  Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem.  But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time.  Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed.  Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza.  If it is good for Islam, it is good.  If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion.  Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins.  But in its essence Islam is a political ideology.  It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person.  Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life.  Islam means 'submission'.  Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia.  If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies.

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran.  The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor.  I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times.  I support Israel ..  First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz; second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance.   Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines , Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan , Lebanon , and Aceh in Indonesia .   Israel is simply in the way.  The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against Israel is not a war against Israel .  It is a war against the West.  It is jihad.   Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us.  If there would have been no Israel , Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest.  Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities.  But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values.  On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam.  They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed.  The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning.  It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination.  If they can get Israel , they can get everything.  So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'.  In my country, the Netherlands , 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II.  And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat.  Yet there is a greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing.  The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine.  An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs.  With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome , Athens and Jerusalem ....

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts.  My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives.  All throughout Europe , American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish.  My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians.  We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe 's children in the same state in which it was offered to us.  We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams.  Future generations would never forgive us.  We cannot squander our liberties.  We simply do not have the right to do so.

We have to take the necessary action now to stop this Islamic stupidity from destroying the free world that we know.

Please take the time to read and understand what is written here.

When Thomas Jefferson saw  there was no negotiating with Muslims,  he formed what is now the  Marines (sea going soldiers).  These Marines  were attached to U. S.  Merchant vessels. When the Muslims  attacked U.S. Merchant vessels they were repulsed by armed soldiers, but there is more.
The Marines followed the  Muslims back to their villages and  killed every man, woman,  and child in the village. It didn't take long for the  Muslims to leave U.S. Merchant vessels alone.
English and French  merchant vessels started  running up our flag when entering the Mediterranean to secure safe travel.
Why the Marine Hymn contains the verse, "To the Shores of Tripoli"   This is very interesting and a must  read piece of our history.  It points out where we may be heading.
Most Americans are unaware of  the fact that over two hundred years  ago the United States had declared war on Islam, and Thomas Jefferson led the charge.!
At the height of the 18th century, Muslim pirates  (the "Barbary Pirates") were the terror of  the Mediterranean and a large area of the North Atlantic.
They attacked every ship in  sight, and held the crews for exorbitant ransoms.  Those taken hostage were  subjected to barbaric treatment and  wrote heart-breaking letters home, begging their governments and families to pay whatever their Mohammedan captors demanded.
These extortionists of the high seas represented the North African Islamic nations of Tripoli,  Tunis, Morocco, and Algiers -  collectively referred to as  the Barbary Coast – and presented a  dangerous and unprovoked  threat to the new American Republic.
Before the Revolutionary War, U.S. merchant ships had been under  the protection of  Great Britain.   When the U.S. declared its  independence and entered into war, the ships of the United  States were protected by France.
However, once the war was won, America had to protect its own fleets.
Thus, the birth of the U.S. Navy.  Beginning in 1784, 17 years before he would  become president, Thomas  Jefferson became America 's Minister to France.   That same year, the U.S. Congress sought to appease its Muslim adversaries by following in the footsteps of European nations who paid bribes to the Barbary States rather than engaging them in war.
In July of 1785, Algerian pirates captured American  ships, and the Dye of Algiers demanded an unheard-of ransom of  $60,000.  It was a plain and simple case of extortion, and Thomas  Jefferson was vehemently opposed to any further  payments.  Instead, he proposed to Congress the formation of a coalition of allied nations who together could force the Islamic states into  peace.  A disinterested Congress decided to pay the ransom.
In 1786, Thomas  Jefferson and John Adams met with Tripoli 's ambassador to Great Britain to ask by what right his nation attacked American ships and enslaved American citizens, and why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
The two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran that all nations who would not acknowledge their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be  found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and  that every Musselman  (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise."
Despite this stunning  admission of premeditated violence on non-Muslim nations, as well as the objections of many notable American  leaders, including George Washington, who warned that caving in was both wrong and would only  further embolden the enemy, for the following fifteen years the American government paid the Muslims  millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages.
The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to over 20 percent of the United States  government annual revenues in 1800. Jefferson was disgusted. Shortly after his being sworn in as the third President of the United States in 1801, the Pasha of Tripoli sent him a note demanding the immediate payment of $225,000 plus $25,000 a year for every year forthcoming.  That changed everything.
Jefferson let the Pasha know, in no uncertain terms, what he could do with his demand.  The Pasha responded by  cutting down the flagpole at the  American consulate and declared war on the United States.   Tunis, Morocco , and Algiers immediately followed suit.
Jefferson, until now, had been against America raising a naval force for anything  beyond coastal defense, but, having watched his nation be cowed by Islamic thuggery for long enough,  decided that it was finally time to meet force with force.
He dispatched a squadron of frigates to the Mediterranean and taught the Muslim nations of the Barbary Coast a lesson he hoped they would never forget.  Congress authorized Jefferson to empower U.S. ships to independent United States had both the will and the right to strike back, they quickly abandoned their allegiance to Tripoli.
The war with Tripoli lasted for four more years, and raged up again in 1815.  The bravery of the U.S. Marine Corps in these wars led to the line "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Hymn, and they would forever  be known as "leathernecks"  for the leather collars of their uniforms, designed to prevent their heads from being cut off by the Muslim scimitars when boarding enemy ships.
Islam, and what its Barbary followers justified  doing in the name of their prophet and their god, disturbed Jefferson quite deeply.
America had a tradition of religious tolerance.  In fact Jefferson, himself, had co-authored the Virginia Statute for  Religious Freedom, but fundamentalist Islam was like no other religion the world had ever seen.  A religion based on  supremacy, whose holy book not only condoned but mandated violence against unbelievers, was unacceptable to him.
His greatest fear was that someday this brand of Islam would return and pose an even greater threat to the United States.
This should concern every  American.  That Muslims have brought about women-only classes and swimming times at taxpayer-funded universities and public pools; that Christians, Jews, and Hindus have been banned from serving on juries where Muslim defendants are being judged;  Piggy banks and Porky Pig tissue dispensers have been  banned from workplaces because they offend Islamist sensibilities; ice cream has been discontinued at certain Burger King locations because the  picture on the wrapper looks similar to the Arabic script for Allah;  public schools are pulling  pork from their menus; on and on and on and on..
It's death by a thousand cuts, or inch-by-inch as some refer to it, and most Americans have no idea that this battle is being waged every day across America.  By not fighting back, by allowing groups to obfuscate what  is really happening, and not insisting that the Islamists adapt to our culture, the United States is cutting its own throat with a  politically correct knife, and helping to  further the Islamists' agenda.
If you have any doubts  about the above information,  Google "Thomas Jefferson vs.  the Muslim World."

Don't kid yourself: the attached article relates directly to the tragedy of illicit drug addiction and related deaths. And together with the rampant addiction to electronic gismos in place of developing direct interpersonal relationships, it is contributing to a 20% increase in clinical Depression, as predicted by me for years. Today this is beginning in childhood, thanks to rotten parents and to a festering society.
IN ADDITION, ALLERGY AND ANAPHYLAXIS to Marijuana  products has been reported, adding yet another mechanism for KILLING YOURSELF.

Read "AMERICAN LION: Andrew Jackson in the White House" by Jon Meacham, Random House, 2009.

Did you know that there was much more to him than the Battle of New Orleans?
...that there was much more to him than the roughhewn caricature that informs the view of many of us?
...that he was the first President to have had to stare down the very real threat of secession (by the State of South Carolina over the question of Slavery), Civil War and dissolution of the American dream to the onslaught of foreign nations?
...that he was the first American President to have been the subject of an assassination attempt?
...that he was a "source of inspiration to Lincoln on the eve of the Civil War, revered by Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt, and hailed by Harry Truman as one of the four greatest presidents - along with Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln - Jackson expanded the powers of the presidency in ways that none of his six predecessors had.  He was the first president to come from the common people, not from an educated elite, and he never ceased to see himself as their champion." (p XVlll)?
...that his Second Inaugural Address in 1833 dealing with the possible secession crisis was every bit as important as Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address on the same subject three decades later?

More than an excellent read and an thorough education, this story is certainly relevant to the circumstances in which we Americans find ourselves today.  Totalitarian Slavery is gone.  But in its place is the arrogant totalitarianism of godless "Secular Progressivism", pressed with the same blind rage as that of the slave-holders.  And in their way stands a man of the people, and the people who elected him to the Presidency.
A friend of mine recently wrote presciently: "Unfortunately, all too often, the only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history". (Michael Deren, M.D.).
Let's learn this time; AND LET'S ACT in yet another defense of this Union called the United States of America.

I have not been a regular reader of Foreign Affairs magazine ( in the past, largely due to my observations that the contributors were typically more interested in "foreign" as in "international" at the expense of "American" interests.

or will it be another example of Einstein's definition of "Idiocy": repeating the same actions multiple times and expecting different results.
A fine summary of how we got here appears in the February 2017 edition of Connecticut Medicine, by its Editor Michael Deren, M.D. (Volume 81, No. 2, p119). It began in 1943 during WWll. As the author rightly states: "Unfortunately, all too often, the only thing we learn from history is that we don't learn from history."
But that's not for lack of some of us trying. I have been writing and speaking on this subject since the 1970's, offering necessary reforms. They can be found throughout my web site ( One offering was published in December, 2015 and appears below. The most recent offering was published within the last few weeks on this Rapid Response site as a interview on the Lee Elci Show with guest host my son, Adam.
Is persistent Idiocy all we can muster?

DECEMBER 25, 2015

Note:  You can also hear the segment broadcast on December 30, 2015...

This analysis is offered by a physician with 59 years of practice experience, 53 of them in New London, CT…and counting. These insights have been reported since the later 1970’s, on my web site ( and elsewhere.  They are bottom-line, conclusory statements. If the reader seeks documentation…”look it up”.
  2. 20 – 30% OF Health Care costs involve “Defensive Medicine”, thanks to the medical mal-practice industry. “Go to the doctor and take a chance on striking it rich”.
  3. 80% of the elderly want an Advanced Directive, to “protect” themselves from their physicians and from their families. 20 – 30% of them actually have Advanced Directives.
  4. Half of all Medicare costs are incurred in the last 6 months of the patients’ lives.
  5. Drug costs…and the “insider trading” Medicare Act of 2002, wherein the Federal Government is prohibited from negotiating drug prices with the pharmaceutical companies!
  6. 20% of health care costs are physician charges.  80% are hospital charges.
  7. Before ObamaCare, no one was dying in the streets…except for the “homeless” who are largely the mentally ill who were thrown out of closing psychiatric hospitals beginning in the late 1960’s – with no alternative care as had been promised as a “quid-pro-quo”. And regarding the emergency room as provider of needed care for these patients: wrong time, wrong place, wrong providers…as recently attested by 80% of ER physicians nation-wide.
  8. ETC…
All of the following Results are Bad and Worsening.
  1. “Increased coverage”, if you can find a physician, including your own existing physician.
  2. “Universal” health insurance coverage, and the Fine (aka “tax”), the illegal product of the “800 lb. gorilla” at the U.S. Supreme Court. “It sits where it wants to sit”.
  3. Uniform “Cadillac coverage”: not only the fancy plans, but also the expanded coverage for non-health related items.
  4. Mandated insurance coverage for “prior existing diseases or illnesses”…aka covering the house after it has burned down.
  5. Electronic Health Records… and penalties for non-compliance.
  6. 30 day readmission rules…and penalties.
  7. “Avoidable” infections…and penalties.
  8. “OBV” – prolonged “out-patient” hospital admissions…and penalties imposed on patient and hospitals.
  9. Taxing non-profit hospitals excessively…just “because” the State needs the money.
  10. All of this cumulatively imposes a “how high” mentality on hospitals and physicians alike when yet another disruptive “JUMP” comes down from the Government…instead of a proper “SEZ WHO?”.
  11. Increasing cost transfers to the patients…mainly the working Middle Class: the new “Un-Insured”: delayed care, sicker, costlier care.
  12. The increasingly injurious effect on physicians, 50% of whom were recently reported to be at least partly depressed…and some to be suicidal.  Is that the physician you want to care for your increasingly complex needs?

For the non-believing liberals that still won't believe, that are so
worried about women's rights.

20 years from now, I will be in Heaven --bye !!
This was written by a woman born in Egypt as a Muslim.. Make sure you
read the paragraph (in red) towards the end.

Joys of Muslim Women
By Nonie Darwish

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year
old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the
marriage by 9.

The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who
becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the
woman, to use her as a toy.

Even though a woman is abused she cannot obtain a divorce.

To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.

Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and
the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute
her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands
can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has
beaten her.

The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an
hour (prostitute) at his discretion.

The Sharia Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life
of the woman.

In the Western World ( Canada, Australia, United States and Britain )
Muslim men are starting to demand Sharia Law so the wife cannot obtain
a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is
amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending
American, Canadian, Universities and British Universities are now
marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children
unsuspectingly to the Sharia law.

By passing this on, enlightened Canadian, Australians, American and
British women may avoid becoming a slave under Sharia Law.

Ripping the West in Two.

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists
is to impose Sharia law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty
in two.

She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The
Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law. Darwish was born in
Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to
America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while
leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian
military officer stationed with his family in Gaza ......

When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His
posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in
Muslim society..

But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned
her own Muslim culture and upbringing.. She converted to Christianity
after hearing a Christian preacher on television.

In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it
is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.

For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia
on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.
Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the
dignity of each individual.. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that
non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.

Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as
assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and
eventually in the world.

While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form
of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for
Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of
the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants
to take from and subjugate others..

While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing
a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia
advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be
interpreted as criticism

It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree
that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should
be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and
even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East
are silenced through intimidation.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance
over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow
an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt
and elsewhere.

(In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in Canada,
Germany, France, Australia, Sweden, the U.S. And Britain To elect the
heads of Government by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You
can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA ..
Dearborn Michigan Is one and there are others.... Britain has several
cities now totally controlled by Muslims)

I think everyone in Canada, Australia, Europe, the U.S. and Great
Britain Should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is
no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and
Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. Some may be but they have
an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. The
peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of
patriotism to their religion. While Canada, Australia, the U.S.A. and
Britain are getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and
erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a
great jihad on North America, Australia and Britain ....

That's watching the first few minutes of The Today Show on NBC at 7AM. It's too bad, because Matt Lauer and his crew could be excellent at what they do. But instead they regularly act as animated spokespersons for the Lunatic Left during 80 % of the air time. Of course, they are in my opinion the best of the worst.
An in-depth description of the disease these people suffer from can be found in the article by Joseph Epstein entitled:
"AT THE TRUMP TRAUMA CENTER, NOBODY COMES FOR TREATMENT" (WSJ Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, Opinion, pA17: "A sickness that makes sufferers feel terribly good about themselves."

This is a perennial favorite on this web site.  See the section entitled "Public Education Politics" and also the many Rapid Response comments here through the decades.
See: "The Real Democratic Party", Editorial in WSJ Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, Opinion, pA16.
When will our Black brethren awaken from their long Narcolepsy to really see what these and other Democratic policies have done in the last 40 years to themselves, their families, their communities and their future?

My father came here from Italy at the age of 19, after fighting in WW I...on the American side.
My maternal grandparents came here from Italy when they were 18 years of age.

For some reason, people have difficulty structuring their arguments when arguing against supporting the currently proposed immigration revisions.  This lady made the argument pretty simple.  NOT printed in the Orange County Paper .....
Newspapers simply won't publish letters to the editor which they either deem politically incorrect (read below) or which do not agree with the philosophy they're pushing on the public.  This woman wrote a great letter to the editor that should have been published; but, with your help, it will get published via cyberspace!
From: "David LaBonte"
My wife, Rosemary, wrote a wonderful letter to the editor of the OC Register which, of course, was not printed.  So, I decided to "print" it myself by sending it out on the Internet.  Pass it along if you feel so inclined.  Written in response to a series of letters to the editor in the Orange County Register:
Dear Editor:
So many letter writers have based their arguments on how this land is made up of immigrants.  Ernie Lujan for one, suggests we should tear down the Statue of Liberty because the people now in question aren't being treated the same as those who passed
through Ellis Island and other ports of entry.
Maybe we should turn to our history books and point out to people like Mr. Lujan why today's American is not willing to accept this new kind of immigrant any longer.  Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.  Some would even get
down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground.  They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times.  They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.
They had waved good-bye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture.  Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them.  All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.
Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. My father fought alongside men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France and Japan.  None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from.  They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan.  They were defending the United States of America as one people.
When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French-American or the German-American or the Irish-American.  The people of France saw only Americans.  And we carried one flag that represented one country.  Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country's flag and waving it to represent who they were.  It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here.  These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American.  They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.
And here we are with a new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges.  Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country.  I'm sorry, that's not what being an American is all about.  I believe that the immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900's deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life.  I think they would be appalled that they are being used as an example by those waving foreign country flags.
And for that suggestion about taking down the Statue of Liberty, it happens to mean a lot to the citizens who are voting on the immigration bill.  I wouldn't start talking about dismantling the United States just yet.

BARABING!      Make dust or eat dust.

The following points relate to genetic modification of human beings at the earliest ages (ie. conception), and with the prospect of permanent transmission.
Two good sources for information are: "The Gene Machine", in Time Magazine, by Alice Park, July 4, 2016, p42; and
"Immoral Uses of Biotechnology", by Rebecca Taylor, in National Catholic Register, Feb. 5-18, 2017,p11.
1: Union ("fertilization") of a human ovum by a human sperm immediately produces a new human being, complete in every way. All that is left is Development: birth, infancy, childhood, teenages, etc. Many geneticists working in this exploding field prefer to use the term "potential human being". Wrong. Realize the Fact, and deal with the Ethics and Morality involved.
2) The CRISPR technique can now modify human DNA and RNA at will, as well as being transmissible to modify mitochondrial DNA ("mtDNA"). This can modify - and has already modified - developing humans for the rest of their lives as being transmissible to their future generations.  Good intentions here are far from guaranteed, can produce human disasters, and cheapen human life. In addition, application of these procedures to other organisms, like bacteria, can produce new diseases and can be made into weapons of mass destruction.
3) There is little professional oversight over these efforts, other than "recommendations" and desiderata.
4) America has no legislation affecting this issue other than to prohibit the use of Public funds.
5) The ethical / moral issue here devolves from the use of extra fertilized ova from In Vitro Fertilization, a nearly uniform occurrence. These are all human beings at conception.
6) What to do? These techniques carry the promise and actuality already to modify and avoid disease in an individual. Can this be analogized to the rule of Primary Intent" when the destruction of a fetus is absolutely necessary to save the Life of the mother?
7) I am not a Theologian or an Ethicist. I am just a moral man. But I can see a useful approach in the emphasis on the Sanctity of Marriage between a man and a woman, the bedrock of Society, for whose Contract the Consideration is the intention to have offspring. Whether for them to entertain IVF for that result, and whether for them to allow such use of their offspring at conception for legal, ethical / moral and controlled uses (and not for the quickest patent and commercial gain) is at least arguable - and I so argue.
The rest I leave to individual conscience and to the guidance and decision - in the case of this Roman Catholic - of the Pope.
8) Meanwhile, let us pray and work for a societal answer to this really existential question in our own way...but in every way.

FRIDAY and SATURDAY, February 17 and 18, 2017

What follows is a potpourri of subjects - and the considered opinions of a person who always stays informed: me.
Here I will give sources, but not citations.  Too much work.
There are not enough saints in the world for us to restrict our dealings to them. Vladimir Putin is ruthless but rational.
We should explore the possibility of new-found cooperation with Russia.  Meanwhile, Senator (and failed Presidential candidate) John McCain continues to fight the last war, the Cold War. Get over it.  It's not helpful.
And as far as a "bipartisan probe of the Russian connection in our 2016 election", if there was anything "there there", it would be out by now.  The Losers simply want yet another talking point for the next four years. Anything will do.
The Connecticut Mirror ( is a good daily on-line source for State and national news. An article by Ana Radelat (Feb. 16, 2017) provides a summary of GOP House proposals. They have merit. I have been espousing some of them, like Health Savings Accounts and eliminating employer and employee tax benefits for employer-provided health insurance, since the 1970's. Yes, that far back. Look it up.
"I'm shocked, shocked." Consider using State-controlled National Guard to assist in deporting criminal illegal aliens? And include seven States not directly on the border? To use the famous bank robber's reply to the question why he kept on robbing banks: "Because that's where the money is."
My position on the general subject of Illegal Immigration has already been posted in this RR several times. Hint: it does not include that lame term "Amnesty".
4) The State of Connecticut: a state of fiscal desperation. Too bad they can't print money in Hartford. See the article by Paul Choiniere in The Day (, Feb. 12, 2017: "Has Malloy Launched 'Battle of the Century?'"
See also related articles in the Ct. Mirror.
5) "Amend New London Charter Or Obey It", Editorial in The Day, Feb. 9, 2019. AND BEGIN BY RETURNING MEMBERSHIP ON THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO AN ELECTED BOARD, as it used to be.  It wields too much power without oversight...and the current Commission is dysfunctional, or worse.
6) CHECK OUT "JUDICIAL WATCH". It's a worth-while operation.
Did you ever see the bumper sticker:
"Mafia staffa car: keepa yo hands offa."
Well, keepa yo hands offa!"
Here, my cup runeth over.  COMPETITION!!

Finally, for now, check out "BIG AGENDA", by David Horowitz (Humanix Books, 2017).
The book's most valuable contribution to the future of America may be its first section, entitled "The Adversary." Here the author displays the length and depth of the metastasizing cancer so-called "The Progessive Movement" that has been eating away at our national vital organs for decades, beginning with our children and spreading wildly.
I also have been writing about this for many years.

Then the author provides strategy and tactics for defeating this disease. Horowitz offers a summary offered in another context by Mike Tyson":

And why should anyone be surprised? He began to "drain the swamp" and found a lot of alligators (Democrat and Republican) who don't want the swamp drained.
The cure for this is to press forward with ACTION and actions, unilateral if necessary and legal, that fulfill his campaign promises. His press conference regarding America's new position on Israel is a good case in point.

And of course we have Audie Murphy, America 's most-decorated soldier, who became a Hollywood star as a result of his US Army service that included his being awarded the Medal of Honor.

Would someone please remind me again how many of today's Hollywood elite, sports celebs and politicians put their careers on hold to enlist for service in Iraq or Afghanistan ?
The only one who even comes close was Pat Tillman, who turned down a contract offer of $3.6 million over three years from the Arizona Cardinals to enlist in the US Army after Sept, 11, 2001 and serve as a Ranger in Afghanistan, where he died from tragic ‘friendly fire’ in 2004.   But rather than being lauded for his choice and his decision to put his country before his career, he was mocked and derided by many of his peers.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I submit to you that this is not the America today that it was seventy years ago.   And I, for one, am saddened.
My generation grew up watching, being entertained by and laughing with so many of these fine people, never really knowing what they contributed to the war effort.   Like millions of Americans during WWII, there was a job that needed doing they didn't question.  They just went and did what they could to help win it.  Those who came home returned to their normal life and carried on, obviously.   Very few ever saying what they did...or saw.
They took it as their "responsibility".  Their duty to our country, to protect & preserve our freedoms & way of life.  Not just for themselves, but for all future generations to come.  They DID THE JOB!
I'm forever humbly in their debt.

Lincoln was known for communicating, but not compromising.
The Day ( does that also. Today's selection of publications is an example. The links are listed below the topics and my related comments.
1) "'Garland's Revenge' must wait another day." Editorial. Right On.
2) "GOP: Don't govern like it's 1929". Letter to the Editor. Not Exactly. About half of Americans consider that they have survived 8 terrible years. Donald Trump received a mandate from the nation at large, although not from the dependents and the undependables. Yes, this is the time for a Great Debate about the future direction of these United States, both internally and in the world, along the lines of the great debate that took place in 1898 regarding American world expansion vs. "isolation". But it is not the time for rampant hysteria, which is all we are getting from the "Leftists".  Com'on, you can do better than that.
3) "Abortion is greatest crime against humanity". Letter to the Editor. The heading says it all.
4) "Has Malloy launched 'battle of the century'? Commentary by Paul Choiniere. YOU BET. And here I add two articles from an excellent on-line publication,
a) "The big budget lands hard", by Paul Stern, and
b) "No one wants a share of CT's teacher pension bill", by Keith M. Phaneuf. Here is Governor Malloy's "Hail Mary Pass"...with No receivers.

Remember. There are three kinds of people.

People who make things happen.
People who watch things happen.
And People who are constantly saying:"Wha' Hoppen?"

Please read  the article in The Day entitled "Legislators mull creation of drug courts", by Karen Florin, Feb. 11, 2017.
There is much to recommend in this article, especially the extensive experience of Charles Duffy.  However, two cautions: 1) follow the money, which probably won't be there; and 2) no mention is made of the distinction among Users, User-Pushers, and non-user Pushers. This distinction is in my opinion critical. Please see my recent other RR on this subject.

1) "Ilicit" Drugs, as applied here, are chemicals which when used by humans result predictably in personal injury and / or adverse societal impact without substantial countervailing benefit. Before attacking this definition, look up DEA categories #1 and 2.
2) There is no valid argument for "making illicit drugs legal". This includes the Cannabinoids in all forms.
3) There are several categories of people involved in the traffic in Ilicit Drugs. Each must be dealt with in its own way.
a) Non-User Pushers: Major Felons, deserving long prison terms (ie. at least 10 years actual time served) followed by registration as a "Drug Pusher" comparable to the category "Sex Offender".  A second offense would double the original time served. This would obtain regardless of the amount of illicit drug provided.
b) User - Pushers: Minor Felons / Patients, deserving over 1 year of incarceration and effective medical therapy. Registration as above would apply, as would the results of second and other offenses.
c) Users: Patients requiring effective medical therapy, intensive at first (including involuntary commitment if necessary), and prolonged monitoring thereafter for at least 5 years.
d) Major  Suppliers, including intermediaries between farm and market: 20 years incarceration for first offense.
3) Farmers. Total and repeated destruction of their poppy fields, with appropriate compensation initially and including prolonged assistance with alternate crops.
4) All financiers and involved banks: loss of operating licenses and major fines.

Can all of this be implemented? YES.
Will all of this be implemented? I doubt it.  Why? Because most of us "good people" are "accessories after the fact" in view of our apathy and non-involvement towards the subject.
When will that change? I don't know.  But see: "Opioids 'on everyone's mind' at Public Hearing Committee hearing", in The Day Feb 11, 2017.

KELO v. NEW LONDON (545 U.S. 469 (2005):
Never gone, never forgotten, and now "popularized".
See the article, cited below, by David Collins on the Movie!
A much better use of your time would to review the excellent articles that appeared in
CONNECTICUT LAW REVIEW, July 2006, Volume 48, Number 5.
In my opinion, the most telling of these is
"Kelo Is Not Dred Scott", by Wesley W. Horton & Brendon P. Levesque (p1405...).

From my vantage point as a pioneer to New London in 1963, having participated in both elected public office and volunteer opportunities for public service, and with the benefit of an education in The Law, I found that opera (indeed, an Italian opera in several ways) to be fascinating.

From the beginning, I was personally in favor of applying Eminent Domain law for appropriate "public use", in addition to addressing "Blight". I wondered why then - Governor Roland chose to test a newly passed Act on public use rather than to use the well-tested and very applicable Blight Act. I wondered how the NLDC could actually achieve anything as complex as the task at hand with a Board approximating 40 souls. Of course, "mistakes were made", always using the passive tense in such discourse. But the action taken was upheld in the Superior Court, in the Connecticut Supreme Court, and in the United States Supreme Court.  The Law and the Facts were and are with the Defendant New London. The case was ably argued by the plaintiffs' attorneys, ably financed by a private party, and interminably argued in the Press.

And now we can see it, or what passes for it, on the silver screen.
Again, my advice: stay home and check out the Connecticut Law Review.

A new book recently published is worth-while:
"THE TRUE FLAG, by Stephen Kinzer, Henry Holt and Co., 2017.
It was reviewed by Michael Lind in the NYTimes Book Review (Jan. 29, 2017, p19): "From Isolation to Intervention".
A lot of American history here, dating mainly from 1898, a seminal year for the ongoing debate between world-wide intervention and "isolation". But it comes with Liberal to Leftist baggage and with some glaring omissions. Still worth-while for the discriminating reader.

What do you all think?

We do not allow online reader comments on ANY letters.  Our reasoning is that letter writers who are willing (and required) to attach their names to their letters should not have to be subjected to attacks from readers online who can (and usually do) remain anonymous. If you disagree with a letter to the editor, we feel the fair response is to write and submit your own letter to the editor. Newspapers that have allowed their letter writers to be criticized by anonymous commenters online have seen a drop off in letters. The Day, on the other hand, continues to get a healthy number of letters to the editor. So, for now, we are sticking with the policy.
Hope this helps.
Paul Choiniere

Hello, Mr. Choiniere,

My name is Perrin Sprecace, one of George Sprecace's sons.  My contact information follows this reply.

I am no longer a resident of New London, but it is my hometown, some of my family remain there, and while I am neither a subscriber nor a regular reader of The Day I periodically receive articles, editorials, and letters to the Editor from my father. For these reasons I take an interest in New London however peripheral my distance in both time and miles makes it.

Since you included me in your reply on the following issue, here are my thoughts on it:

While your reasoning in barring anonymous replies to signed letters to your newspaper appears sound on the surface, it is a clear example of the notion of 'separate, but not even equal'.  Since your company is not a Government institution you are not legally held to the higher, just standard; still, the issue remains.

As you hopefully are aware (being in the business you are in), times have changed, Mr. Choiniere, as has the technology with which the media and the Public share their facts and opinions.  Of course, since you are the gatekeeper for your particular part of the media, your stated policy is yours to control.  This does nothing, however, to maintain the intellectual honesty that should be unflinching for a newspaper.

We both know that newspapers (physical and online) have limited space from which to do their job.  If internet technology did not exist for periodicals such as The Day, your policy would be sound and just considering that it would regard the one platform from which readers may express their opinions.

The additional online platform is much more flexible and accommodating in its space and convenience allowances enabling vastly greater numbers of respondents to express their thoughts.  While I agree that baseless and/or pejorative/ad hominem/vulgar language has no place in a published medium, not to allow "online reader comments to ANY letters" is intellectually dishonest, unfair, and frankly a cop-out on your part. It is quite convenient for you to explain away such behavior by noting that since letter writers are required to include contact information, anonymous comments are not allowed simply and solely because they are anonymous.

As I noted earlier, letters to the Editor are often much more lengthy than responses to them.  While it is unrealistic and often cost-prohibitive to publish responses to these letters in the physical form of your newspaper, online responses to even a single letter can be posted and counted in the hundreds in many cases, with little or no cost or logistical issues attached to them.

If you want to admit that vetting such numbers of responses is out of your company's time constraints, do so.  If you want to admit that your (or any of your staff's) personal, political, and/or cultural beliefs prevent you from posting contrary opinions, intellectual honesty and professional duty to fairness obligates you to post at least a certain number of such responses, online or not, anonymous or not; again, as long as they remain cogent and free of the negative attributes I noted above.

As for "Newspapers that have allowed their letter writers to be criticized by anonymous commenters online [seeing] a drop off in letters", it is not your place to accommodate any member of the Public who is unable or who refuses to handle the responsibility of dealing with the publication of their own words. Even your choice of the word "attacks" violates your professional obligation to fairness and impartiality to both your content and your readers. What you consider an "attack" can easily be considered a simple challenge to ones opinions, however direct and abrupt as responses to political issues can be.

As for The Day continuing to receive a "healthy number of letters to the Editor", if this characterization of health results from your current policy, logic and intellectual honesty dictate otherwise.

Thank you for your time,

Perrin Sprecace

Has Freedom of Speech been "disabled" in The Day newspaper? The above statement, followed by empty space, is being found with increasing frequency following articles and Letters to the Editor that might be at variance with the paper's Leftist stance.  Are all of your motivated readers so foul-mouthed that you feel the need to take this extreme action? Who Knew?

It is rare that we in this area can claim to have an actual Hero in our midst.
James Spellman of Groton is that Hero.
A man of undoubtedly deep Faith and of great conviction,
Mr. Spellman knowingly placed his life at great risk to enhance his knowledge and credibility in pursuing what will be his greatest work in a life filled with achievement.

the insane are spilling out into the streets, literally and figuratively.
The New Yorker posts a cover with the Statue of Liberty's Light extinguished.
The German newspaper Der Spiegel posts a cover of a knife-wielding President Trump holding the head of a beheaded Statue of Liberty.
The head of President Trump with a target on it makes the rounds of "social" media.
A former government official suggests that now may be the time for a military coup.
Riots suggest to Robert Reich, Professor at one of the campuses, that Conservatives planned and initiated them.
And we won't even mention what's going on in Socialist Europe, the same Europe that we saved from permanent tyranny in WW ll, then nursed back to health with the Marshall Plan, and now protect with NATO.
Remember the still SILENT MAJORITY that Elected President Donald Trump, including the vast majority of the Military.  They are all armed and capable of protecting their country. Japan's Admiral Yamamoto's stern warning to his bellicose leaders comes to mind.

two weeks into the new Administration, according to hysterical - and I believe actually mentally ill  - Democrats.
The following are not "ad hominem" attacks by me against three Democratic leaders.
They are a considered medical opinion:
1) Harry Reid, over at least a year before he left the Senate, was showing distinct and worsening signs of Alzheimer's Disease.
2) Nancy Pelosi and Charles Shumer are beginning to show similar signs.

Many if not most Medical Malpractice suits are brought out of ANGER on the part of the patient or family. They don't want an apology; they want BLOOD.

Meanwhile, a small minority of mal-occurrences are the result of actual malpractice. And of those that reach Court, 70% are won by the defendant on the merits.

What a waste...except for the Trial Bar.  The best solution is the formation of Special Health Courts, as is the case with Bankruptcy and Patent cases, administered and adjudicated by experts in Health Care and in Health Law.

I agree with Senator McCain's position on the U.S. and Ukraine's continuing problems with Russia - backed "separatists". In fact, I expressed that position when the Crimean Peninsula was being overrun by Russia's surrogates - although making a continuing distinction between the two areas of conflict.  Russia could make a credible case for its claim on Crimea - but certainly not for Ukraine, a separate and Western nation, an ally.

America should make that clear to Putin, on the phone as well as in the air and on the ground.

Ukraine is not negotiable. I hope that President Trump does exactly that.

Russia is testing the U.S. with a surge of violence in eastern Ukraine, and President Donald Trump should give Ukraine the lethal aid it needs to defend against the attacks, Sen. John McCain said in a letter to Trump on Thursday.
"That this surge of attacks began the day after he talked with you by phone is a clear indication that Vladimir Putin is moving quickly to test you as commander in chief. America's response will have lasting consequences," McCain wrote, urging Trump to provide "defensive lethal assistance."

He has my support.

By now you’ve heard about the young thugs who viciously attacked and brutalized my teenaged son because he expressed support for Donald Trump.
These dreadlock-wearing punks shrieked “F*** Donald Trump” in this gentle boy’s face over and over again as they cornered him, and cast repeated insults about white Americans.
Barack Obama has many blacks, Muslims, and illegal aliens feeling they have the right to attack Trump supporters, cops, businesses, white kids — anything and anybody — without going to jail or getting deported.
“Black Lives Matter” mobs chant, “What do we want?  Dead cops!  When do we want them?  Now!”
So in New York, Muslim radicals bashed cops in the head with hatchets and meat cleavers.  Hordes of thugs, vandals, and looters trashed Baltimore, Charlotte, and Milwaukee.  Black Nationalist snipers stalked and murdered five cops in Dallas and shot six in Baton Rouge.  It’s anarchy.
I’m sick of it, and I’ve decided to do something about it.  My wife and I have launched the National Campaign to lay the groundwork for SHERIFF DAVID CLARKE to run for the United States Senate in Wisconsin to replace Left-wing extremist Tammy Baldwin!
If you’re with me, please sign the Official Sheriff Clarke for Senate Pledge.  The Sheriff needs to know you’re a supporter — and we need to know you’re with us.
Milwaukee’s conservative black Sheriff CORRECTLY says “BLACK LIVES MATTER” is a hate group, and calls it “Black LIES Matter.”
Sheriff Clarke serves on two NRA committees and infuriated the gun grabbers by airing radio ads telling the citizens of Milwaukee to arm themselves against criminals so they can fight back when the cops aren’t around.
Fourteen years ago Sheriff Clarke was already calling liberal state legislators “race hustlers and demagogues” for claiming white racism was the cause of poverty and crime in Milwaukee’s black ghettos.  He called Al Sharpton a “charlatan,” and said he “should shut up and go back into the gutter.”
Those roving mobs of youths who have been trashing malls across the country?  “These kids are unsocialized misfits.  A pack of runaway dogs behaves better.”
He had this advice for the new House Speaker and Senate Majority Leader: “Get it done, dammit.  We’ve waited long enough.  Note to Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell: Go big, go bold, go fast.  The disconnect in DC with GOP and voters: McConnell thinks the goal is to move cautiously.  WE VOTED FOR THEM TO GO BIG & BOLD.”
You know what he told the crowd at President Trump’s inaugural “Deplora-Ball”?  He’s tired of the do-gooders saying we have to “reach across the aisle” and make compromises: “The only reason I’ll be reaching across the aisle is to grab one of them by the throat!”
Does he publicly thrash Hillary Clinton for her support of Planned Parenthood, or tweet, “Mrs. Bill Clinton has no moral compass. Will lie, cheat, steal to accomplish her pursuits”?
Does your Senator call the failed public schools incubators for future criminals, and condemn affirmative action programs that keep whites and Asians out of our better colleges and universities?
NO!  Your Senator does NOT speak like that, because nobody in Washington does.
Let’s start working TODAY to get us one who does — Sheriff David Clarke.
Please sign the Official Sheriff Clarke for Senate Pledge and join our campaign today!  My goal is to deliver your pledge and 30,000 more to Sheriff Clarke within the next 30 days.
David is willing to run: he just has to know that he has enough national support to combat the money his opponent will get from Hollywood and elsewhere.  Tammy Baldwin is their Holy Grail: a hard left, in-your-face, screaming liberal.  SHE MUST GO!
Clarke was born and has lived his entire life in Milwaukee County — raised in a godly home by a stay-at-home mother and a father who was a combat veteran of the Korean War.  A devout Christian who attended a Catholic high school, Clarke carries a prayer book and pocket-sized U.S. Constitution at all times.
In speeches he quotes Judge Robert Bork and Thomas Sowell.  He patrols Milwaukee on horseback, and lists his heroes as Justice Scalia, Clarence Thomas, President Reagan, and John Wayne.  He tells Trump rallies, “You guys know I don’t take no crap from the Left, and I’ll get my knuckles bloody when I have to.”
I love this man!  How can you not?  Rush and Hannity and Coulter love him, and Mark Levin says he should be President one day!
David’s own love and concern for black youth in the ghettos of Milwaukee and elsewhere cannot be doubted, and he knows where criminals and ghettos come from:  “When there are no fathers around to shape a young black boy’s behavior,” he tweeted, “he grows up an unsocialized misfit that cops have to deal with aggressively.  The damage modern liberalism and the Democrat Party have done to the black family is unforgivable.”
That’s the truth.  We all know it.  But it seems only David Clarke has the guts to say it.
And yet this loving and courageous man faces constant attacks by vulgar liberals offended that he does not stay on the plantation.
All black conservatives hear it.  He’s an Uncle Tom.  A self-loather.  Traitor to his race.  “The acceptable Negro for white[s],” as Milwaukee Magazine put it.
But I’m confident Sheriff Clarke is willing to withstand the slimy trash-talking and the death threats and all the rest, so long as he knows you and I will stand with him!  Sign the OFFICIAL SHERIFF CLARKE FOR SENATE PLEDGE today, and let us add your name to the Official Draft Campaign.
We can’t afford to squander this incredible opportunity to turn a Senate seat from radical leftist Democrat to constitutional conservative Republican.
David Clarke is a man who will not back down to the Left or to the failed and gutless GOP leadership when necessary (and sadly, it is often necessary).
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE CONSERVATIVES HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!  Someone who will actually do what he says.  A man immunized against Potomac fever.
Take it from me, a lawyer who used to work in Washington on the Senate Judiciary Committee (and elsewhere), that kind of elected official is few and far between.
David is willing to run.  I can’t tell all I know, but when Breitbart News asked about higher office, he said, “Leadership’s a calling, and if something should come along, I’d take a look at it.”
At the NRA convention he teased us by saying with a big grin, “I’m not running for any higher office … [pregnant pause] … yet.”  Would he consider a cabinet appointment?  “[I]f the President asks you to serve, you step up to fulfill that duty.”
This is a man chomping at the bit for a bigger stage.
He campaigned all over the country for Trump, spoke at the national convention, and guest hosted for Hannity and Glenn Beck.  He’s all over radio and especially Fox News.
Now he’s planning a nationwide book tour promoting his soon-to-be best-selling book, Cop Under Fire: Moving Beyond Hashtags for Race, Crime and Politics for a Better America.  He even has a membership at the National Republican Congressional Club on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
My friend, you are not naive, and David Clarke isn’t either.  He is open to this run, and I know we can convince him to do it if enough people sign the Official Sheriff Clarke for Senate Pledge to show him he has local AND national support.
David knows how fragile our 52-seat margin is in the Senate, and he knows it includes unreliable RINOs.  He knows his country needs him.  He also knows he can win this thing.
Wisconsin has a Republican Governor, and Republicans control both houses of the legislature.  It just re-elected Republican U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, and stunned the so-called experts by voting convincingly for Donald Trump.
There are only two state-wide Democrats left: a 76 year-old Secretary of State first elected in 1974, and Tammy Baldwin.
Milwaukee County (David’s home) is the state’s most populous by far.  It has 70% of the state’s black voters, and votes horribly liberal.  Trump got only 29% of the vote there, and still won the state.
Well, Sheriff Clarke has carried that horribly liberal county FOUR consecutive times, most recently capturing an astounding 79% of the vote.  That’s right: Trump got 29% in the largest county, which Clarke carried by 79% (in part because he’s a life-long resident who gets thousands of votes no white Republican can).
Yeah, he’s got a shot.
This is a golden opportunity, my friend, and David Clarke is, for us conservatives, a golden unicorn.  The perfect man at the perfect time.
How sweet would it be for a black John Wayne to take out a screaming leftist extremist with control of the Senate up for grabs?
Senator Johnson (R-Wisconsin) spent $9 million of his own money getting elected.  A cop for 38 years, David Clarke can do no such thing.
So we have to do it for him.  You and I, and all of the many other David Clarke fans across this country.
Sheriff Clarke ends all of his PSA radio spots with these five words: “Can I count on you?”
Well, can he?  Will you sign the OFFICIAL SHERIFF CLARKE FOR SENATE PLEDGE?  Will you become a member of the Draft Campaign by making a contribution to the Draft Sheriff Clarke for Senate committee?
Think of all he has done for you and what you believe in on his own, without your support.  But now he needs us, and it’s time to pay him back.
For those blessed with wealth, a gift of $2,700 could pay for producing a TV ad.
A gift of $1,000, $500, $250, $100, or even $50 pays to air several radio ads in support of Sheriff Clarke.
At least take the Sheriff Clarke for Senate Pledge today so we can show Sheriff Clarke that you stand with him.  Thank you and may God bless you.

And why weren't we told by our "watchdog" Media when it happened?

Warren Buffet is absolutely right with these specifics, as we have been saying in generalities for years.

Warren Buffett is asking everyone to forward this email to a minimum of 20 people, and to ask each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in the United States will have the message. This is an idea that should be passed around.
Let's see if these folks understand what people pressure is all about.
Salary of retired US Presidents .. . . . .. . . . . .. . $180,000 FOR LIFE.
Salary of House/Senate members .. . . . .. . . . $174,000 FOR LIFE. This is stupid
Salary of Speaker of the House .. . . . .. . . . . $223,500 FOR LIFE. This is really stupid
Salary of Majority / Minority Leaders . . .. . . . . $193,400 FOR LIFE. Stupid
Average Salary of a teacher . . .. . . . .. . . . . .. .$40,065
Average Salary of a deployed Soldier . . .. . . .. $38,000
Here’s where the cuts should be made!
Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:
"I could end the deficit in five minutes," he told CNBC. "You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for re-election".
The 26th Amendment ( granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds ) took only three months and eight days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail, cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year or less to become the law of the land - all because of public pressure.
Warren Buffett is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2017
1. No Tenure / No Pension. A Congressman / woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they're out of office.
2. Congress (past, present, & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 3/1/17. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.
Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and go back to work.
If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people, then it will only take three days for most people in the U.S. to receive the message. It's time!
