RAPID
RESPONSE (Archives)...Daily Commentary on News of the Day
This is a new
section. It will
offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that
to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be
pro-active.
That's all I promise.

By a 15-year-old school kid who got an A+ for this entry
(TOTALLY AWESOME)!
The Lord's Prayer is not allowed in most
U.S. Public schools any more.
A kid in MINNESOTA, wrote the following
NEW School Prayer:-
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the State..
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles...
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.
It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Please
see my two Commentaries posted on November 8, 2016. On another
occasion, I shared the opinion that it was time for Pope Francis to
remove the velvet glove and bare the iron fist on some controversial
subjects roiling the Church.
Now comes a timely article that is right on point: "HIS HOLINESS DECLINES TO ANSWER", by Ross Douthat, in NYTimes Sunday, Nov. 27, Sunday Review p 11.

I

Even so, I was surprised to

REGGIE THE BLACK LAB
They told me the big black Lab's name was Reggie,
as I looked at him lying in his pen.
The shelter was clean, no-kill,
and the people really friendly.
I'd only been in the area for six months, but
everywhere I went in the small college town, people
were welcoming and open. Everyone waves
when you pass them on the street.
But something was still missing as I attempted to settle
in to my new life here, and I thought a dog couldn't hurt.
Give me someone to talk to. And I had just seen
Reggie's advertisement on the local news. The shelter
said they had received numerous calls right after,
but they said the people who had come down
to see him just didn't look like "Lab people,"
whatever that meant. They must've thought I did.
But at first, I thought the shelter had misjudged me
in giving me Reggie and his things, which consistedof a dog pad, bag of
toys almost all of which were
brand new tennis balls, his dishes and
a sealed letter from his previous owner.
See, Reggie and I didn't really hit it off when we got home.
We struggled for two weeks (which is how long the shelter
told me to give him to adjust to his new home). Maybe it was the fact
that I was trying to adjust, too.
Maybe we were too much alike.
I saw the sealed envelope. I had completely forgotten
about that. "Okay, Reggie," I said out loud, "let's see
if your previous owner has any advice."
To Whomever Gets My Dog:
Well, I can't say that I'm happy you're reading this,
a letter I told the shelter could only be opened by
Reggie's new owner. I'm not even happy writing it.
He knew something was different.
So let me tell you about my Lab in the hopes
that it will help you bond with him and he with you.
First, he loves tennis balls. The more the merrier.
Sometimes I think he's part squirrel, the way he hoards them.
He
usually always has two in his mouth, and he tries to get a third in
there. Hasn't done it yet. Doesn't matter where you throw them, he'll
bound after them, so be careful. Don't do it by any roads.
Next, commands. Reggie knows the
obvious ones ---"sit," "stay," "come," "heel."
He knows hand signals, too: He knows "ball"
and "food" and "bone" and "treat" like
nobody's business.
Feeding schedule: twice a day, regular
store-bought stuff; the shelter has the brand.
He's up on his shots. Be forewarned: Reggie hates the vet.
Good luck getting him in the car. I don't know how he
knows when it's time to go to the vet, but he knows.
Finally, give him some time. It's only been Reggie and
me for his whole life. He's gone everywhere with me,
so please include him on your daily car rides if you can.
He sits well in the backseat, and he doesn't bark
or complain. He just loves to be around people,
and me most especially.
And
that's why I need to share one more bit of info with you...His name's
not Reggie. He's a smart dog, he'll get used to it and will
respond
to it, of that I have no doubt. But I just couldn't bear to give them
his real name. But if someone is reading this ...well it means that his
new owner should know his real name.
His real name is "Tank." Because, that is what I drive.
I told the shelter that they couldn't make "Reggie" available for
adoption until they received word from my company commander.
You
see, my parents are gone, I have no siblings, no one I could've left
Tank with ... and it was my only real request of the Army upon my
deployment to Iraq, that they make one phone call to the shelter ...in
the "event" ... to tell them that Tank could be put up for adoption.
Luckily,
my CO is a dog-guy, too, and he knew where my platoon was headed. He
said he'd do it personally. And if you're reading this, then he made
good on his word. Tank has been my family for the last six
years,
almost as long as the Army has been my family. And now I hope and pray
that you make him part of your family, too, and that he will adjust and
come to love you the same way he loved me.
If I have to give up Tank
to keep those terrible people from coming to the US I am glad to have
done so. He is my example of service and of love. I hope I honored him
by my service to my country and comrades.
All right, that's enough.
I deploy this evening and have to drop this letter off at the shelter.
Maybe I'll peek in on him and see if he finally got that third tennis
ball in his mouth.
Good luck with Tank. Give him a good home, and
give him an extra kiss goodnight - every night - from me.
Thank you,
Paul Mallory
_____________________
I
folded the letter and slipped it back in the envelope. Sure, I had
heard of Paul Mallory, everyone in town knew him, even new people like
me. Local kid, killed in Iraq a few months ago and posthumously earning
the Silver Star when he gave his life to save three buddies.
Flags had been at half-mast all summer.
I leaned forward in my chair and rested my elbows on my knees, staring
at the dog.
"Hey, Tank," I said quietly.
The dog's head whipped up, his ears
cocked and his eyes bright.
"C'mere boy."
He
was instantly on his feet, his nails clicking on the hardwood
floor. He sat in front of me, his head tilted, searching for
the
name he hadn't heard in months. "Tank," I whispered. His tail
swished.
I kept whispering his name, over and over, and
each time, his ears lowered, his eyes softened, and his posture relaxed
as a wave of contentment just seemed to flood him. I stroked his ears,
rubbed his shoulders, buried my face into his scruff and hugged him.
"It's me now, Tank, just you and me. Your old pal gave you to me."
Tank reached up and licked my cheek.
"So whatdaya say we play some ball?"
His ears perked again.
"Yeah? Ball? You like that? Ball?"
Tank tore from my hands and disappeared into the next room.
And when he came back, he had three tennis balls in his mouth.
If you can read this without getting a lump in your
throat or a tear in your eye, you just ain't right.

A
very interesting read, a Marine's View of what is really going
on. This young man is articulate and has a flare for colorful
language, and descriptive prose, Scorpions, Chiggers and Sand
Fleas. A must read for every American citizen, and those
elsewhere also.
From a Recon Marine in Afghanistan: From the Sand Pit
It's
freezing here. I'm sitting on hard cold dirt between rocks
and
shrubs at the base of the Hindu Kush Mountains, along the Dar'yoi Pamir
River, watching a hole that leads to a tunnel that leads to a
cave. Stake out, my friend, and no pizza delivery for
thousands
of miles.
I also glance at the area around my ass every
ten to fifteen seconds to avoid another scorpion sting. I've
actually given up battling the chiggers and sand fleas, but the
scorpions give a jolt like a cattle prod. Hurts like a
bastard. The antidote tastes like transmission fluid, but God
bless the Marine Corps for the five vials of it in my pack.
The
one truth the Taliban cannot escape is that, believe it or not, they
are human beings, which means they have to eat food and drink
water. That requires couriers and that's where an old bounty
hunter like me comes in handy.
I track the couriers,
locate the tunnel entrances and storage facilities, type the info into
the hand held, and shoot the coordinates up to the satellite link that
tells the air commanders where to drop the hardware. We bash
some
heads for a while, and then I track and record the new
movement.
It's all about intelligence. We haven't even brought in the
snipers yet. These scurrying rats have no idea what they're
in
for. We are but days away from cutting off supply lines and
allowing the eradication to begin. But you know me; I'm a
romantic. I've said it before and I'll say it again: This
country
blows, man. It's not even a country. There are no
roads,
there's no infrastructure, there's no government.
This is
an inhospitable, rock-pit shit-hole ruled by eleventh century warring
tribes. There are no jobs here like we know jobs.
Afghanistan offers only two ways for a man to support his family, join
the opium trade or join the army. That's it. Those
are your
options. Oh, I forgot, you can also live in a refugee camp
and
eat plum-sweetened, crushed beetle paste and squirt mud like a goose
with stomach flu, if that's your idea of a party. But the
smell
alone of those 'tent cities of the walking dead' is enough to hurl you
into the poppy fields to cheerfully scrape bulbs for eighteen hours a
day.
I've been living with these Tajiks and Uzbeks, and
Turkmen and even a couple of Pashtu's, for over a month-and-a-half now,
and this much I can say for sure: These guys, are Huns, actual, living
Huns. They LIVE to fight. It's what they
do. It's ALL
they do. They have no respect for anything; not for
themselves,
their families, or for each other. They claw at one another
as a
way of life. They play polo with dead calves and force their
five-year-old sons into human cockfights to defend the family
honor. Just Huns, roaming packs of savage, heartless beasts
who
feed on each other's barbarism. Cavemen with
AK-47's. Then
again, maybe I'm just a cranky young bastard.
I'm freezing
my ass off on this stupid hill because my lap warmer is running out of
juice, and I can't recharge it until the sun comes up in a few
hours. Oh yeah! You like to write letters,
right? Do
me a favor, Bizarre. Write a letter to CNN and tell Wolf and
Anderson and that awful, sneering, pompous Aaron Brown to stop calling
the Taliban "smart". They are not smart. I suggest
CNN
invest in a dictionary because the word they are looking for is
"cunning". The Taliban are cunning, like jackals, hyenas, and
wolverines. They are sneaky and ruthless, and when
confronted,
they are cowardly. They are hateful, malevolent parasites who
create nothing and destroy everything else.
Smart?
Bullshit! Yeah, they're real smart, Most can’t
read, but
they've spent their entire lives listening to Imams telling them about
only one book (and not a very good one, as books go). They
consider hygiene and indoor plumbing to be products of the
devil.
They're still trying to figuring out how to work a Bic
lighter.
Talking to a Taliban warrior about improving his quality of life is
like trying to teach an ape how to hold a pen.
Eventually
he just gets frustrated and sticks you in the eye with it.
K,
enough. Snuffle will be up soon, so I have to get back to my
hole. Covering my tracks in the snow takes a lot of practice,
but
I'm good at it.
Please, I tell you and my fellow Americans
to turn off the TV sets and move on with your lives. The
story
line you are getting from CNN and other news agencies is utter bullshit
and designed not to deliver truth but rather to keep you glued to the
screen so you will watch the next commercial. We've got this
one
under control. The worst thing you guys can do right now is
sit
around analyzing what we're doing over here. You have no idea
what we're doing, and you really don't want to know. We are
your
military, and we are only doing what you sent us here to do.
From a Jack Recon Marine in Afghanistan, Semper Fi.
"Freedom is not free, but the U.S. Marine Corps is paying most of your
share".
Send this to YOUR FRIENDS so that people there will really know what is
going on over here.
God Bless America.

Everything is about to change.
Daniel Greenfield
This wasn’t an election. It was a revolution.
It’s
midnight in America. The day before fifty million Americans got up and
stood in front of the great iron wheel that had been grinding them
down. They stood there even though the media told them it was useless.
They took their stand even while all the chattering classes laughed and
taunted them.
They were fathers who couldn’t feed their families
anymore. They were mothers who couldn’t afford health care. They were
workers whose jobs had been sold off to foreign countries. They were
sons who didn’t see a future for themselves. They were daughters afraid
of being murdered by the “unaccompanied minors” flooding into their
towns. They took a deep breath and they stood.
They held up their hands and the great iron wheel stopped.
The
Great Blue Wall crumbled. The impossible states fell one by one. Ohio.
Wisconsin. Pennsylvania. Iowa. The white working class that had been
overlooked and trampled on for so long got to its feet. It rose up
against its oppressors and the rest of the nation, from coast to coast,
rose up with it.
They fought back against their jobs being
shipped overseas while their towns filled with migrants that got
everything while they got nothing. They fought back against a system in
which they could go to jail for a trifle while the elites could violate
the law and still stroll through a presidential election. They fought
back against being told that they had to watch what they say. They
fought back against being held in contempt because they wanted to work
for a living and take care of their families.
They fought and they won.
This
wasn’t a vote. It was an uprising. Like the ordinary men chipping away
at the Berlin Wall, they tore down an unnatural thing that had towered
over them. And as they watched it fall, they marveled at how weak and
fragile it had always been. And how much stronger they were than they
had ever known.
Who were these people? They were leftovers and
flyover country. They didn’t have bachelor degrees and had never set
foot in a Starbucks. They were the white working class. They didn’t
talk right or think right. They had the wrong ideas, the wrong clothes
and the ridiculous idea that they still mattered.
They were
wrong about everything. Illegal immigration? Everyone knew it was here
to stay. Black Lives Matter? The new civil rights movement.
Manufacturing? As dead as the dodo. Banning Muslims? What kind of bigot
even thinks that way? Love wins. Marriage loses. The future belongs to
the urban metrosexual and his dot com, not the guy who used to have a
good job before it went to China or Mexico.
They couldn’t change
anything. A thousand politicians and pundits had talked of getting them
to adapt to the inevitable future. Instead they got in their pickup
trucks and drove out to vote.
And they changed everything.
Barack
Hussein Obama boasted that he had changed America. A billion
regulations, a million immigrants, a hundred thousand lies and it was
no longer your America. It was his.
He was JFK and FDR rolled into one. He told us that his version of
history was right and inevitable.
And
they voted and left him in the dust. They walked past him and they
didn’t listen. He had come to campaign to where they still cling to
their guns and their bibles. He came to plead for his legacy.
And America said, “No.”
Fifty
millions Americans repudiated him. They repudiated the Obamas and the
Clintons. They ignored the celebrities. They paid no attention to the
media. They voted because they believed in the impossible. And their
dedication made the impossible happen.
Americans were told that
walls couldn’t be built and factories couldn’t be opened. That treaties
couldn’t be unsigned and wars couldn’t be won. It was impossible to ban
Muslim terrorists from coming to America or to deport the illegal
aliens turning towns and cities into gangland territories.
It was all impossible. And fifty million Americans did the impossible.
They turned the world upside down.
It’s
midnight in America. CNN is weeping. MSNBC is wailing. ABC calls it a
tantrum. NBC damns it. It wasn’t supposed to happen. The same machine
that crushed the American people for two straight terms, the mass of
government, corporations and non-profits that ran the country, was set
to win.
Instead the people stood in front of the machine. They
blocked it with their bodies. They went to vote even though the polls
told them it was useless. They mailed in their absentee ballots even
while Hillary Clinton was planning her fireworks victory celebration.
They looked at the empty factories and barren farms. They drove through
the early cold. They waited in line. They came home to their children
to tell them that they had done their best for their future. They bet
on America. And they won.
They won improbably. And they won amazingly.
They
were tired of ObamaCare. They were tired of unemployment. They were
tired of being lied to. They were tired of watching their sons come
back in coffins to protect some Muslim country. They were tired of
being called racists and homophobes. They were tired of seeing their
America disappear.
And they stood up and fought back. This was their last hope. Their last
chance to be heard.
Watch
this video. See ten ways John Oliver destroyed Donald Trump. Here’s
three ways Samantha Bee broke the internet by taunting Trump
supporters. These three minutes of Stephen Colbert talking about how
stupid Trump is owns the internet. Watch Madonna curse out Trump
supporters. Watch Katy Perry. Watch Miley Cyrus. Watch Robert Downey
Jr. Watch Beyonce campaign with Hillary. Watch. Click.
Watch fifty million Americans take back their country.
The
media had the election wrong all along. This wasn’t about
personalities. It was about the impersonal. It was about fifty million
people whose names no one except a server will ever know fighting back.
It was about the homeless woman guarding Trump’s star. It was about the
lost Democrats searching for someone to represent them in Ohio and
Pennsylvania. It was about the union men who nodded along when the
organizers told them how to vote, but who refused to sell out their
futures.
No one will ever interview all those men and women. We
will never see all their faces. But they are us and we are them. They
came to the aid of a nation in peril. They did what real Americans have
always done. They did the impossible.
America is a nation of
impossibilities. We exist because our forefathers did not take no for
an answer. Not from kings or tyrants. Not from the elites who told them
that it couldn’t be done.
The day when we stop being able to pull of the impossible is the day
that America will cease to exist.
Today is not that day. Today fifty million Americans did the impossible.
Midnight has passed. A new day has come. And everything is about to
change.

1/2 boy 1/2 man
The
average age of the military man is 19 years. He is a short haired,
tight-muscled kid who, under normal circumstances is considered by
society as half man, half boy. Not yet dry behind the ears, not old
enough to buy a beer, but old enough to die for his country. He never
really cared much for work and he would rather wax his own car than
wash his father ' s, but he has never collected unemployment either.
He's
a recent High School graduate; he was probably an average student,
pursued some form of sport activities, drives a ten year old jalopy,
and has a steady girlfriend that either broke up with him when he left,
or swears to be waiting when he returns from half a world away. He
listens to rock and roll or hip-hop or rap or jazz or swing and a 155mm
howitzer.
He is 10 or 15 pounds lighter now than when he
was at home because he is working or fighting from before dawn to well
after dusk. He has trouble spelling, thus letter writing is a pain for
him, but he can field strip a rifle in 30 seconds and reassemble it in
less time in the dark. He can recite to you the nomenclature of a
machine gun or grenade launcher and use either one effectively if he
must.
He digs foxholes and latrines and can apply first aid like a
professional.
He can march until he is told to stop, or stop until he is told to
march.
He obeys orders instantly and without hesitation, but he is not without
spirit or individual dignity. He is self-sufficient.
He has two sets of fatigues: he washes one and wears the other. He
keeps his canteens full and his feet dry.
He
sometimes forgets to brush his teeth, but never to clean his rifle. He
can cook his own meals, mend his own clothes, and fix his own hurts.
If
you're thirsty, he'll share his water with you; if you are hungry, his
food. He'll even split his ammunition with you in the midst of battle
when you run low.
He has learned to use his hands like weapons and weapons like they were
his hands.
He can save your life - or take it, because that is his job.
He will often do twice the work of a civilian, draw half the pay, and
still find ironic humor in it all.
He has seen more suffering and death than he should have in his short
lifetime.
He has wept in public and in private, for friends who have fallen in
combat and is unashamed.
He
feels every note of the National Anthem vibrate through his body while
at rigid attention, while tempering the burning desire to' square-away'
those around him who haven't bothered to stand, remove their hat, or
even stop talking. In an odd twist, day in and day out, far from home,
he defends their right to be disrespectful.
Just as did
his Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather, he is paying the price
for our freedom. Beardless or not, he is not a boy. He is the American
Fighting Man that has kept this country free for over 200 years.
He has asked nothing in return, except
Our friendship and understanding.
Remember him, always, for he has earned our respect and admiration with
his blood.
And
now we even have women over there in danger, doing their part in this
tradition of going to War when our nation calls us to do so.
As you go to bed tonight, remember this shot. . ...
A short lull, a little shade and a picture of loved ones in their
helmets.
Prayer wheel for our military.... Please don't break it Please send
this on after a short prayer.
Prayer Wheel
'Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they
protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. Amen.'
When
you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our
ground troops in Afghanistan , sailors on ships, and airmen in the air,
and for those in Iraq , Afghanistan and all foreign countries.
There is nothing attached....
This can be very powerful..
Of all the gifts you could give a US Soldier, Sailor, Coastguardsman,
Marine, or Airman, prayer is the very best one.

CATHOLICS AND THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH:
ALL OVER THE PLACE.
SHAME!
IF BONNIE AND CLYDE WIN TODAY, THIS IS A VERY BIG REASON.
With the outcome of this national election, however long it may take,
and whoever wins, it will be the end of nothing.
It
will be the end of the beginning. Then will come a fight for
the
soul and substance of America. The only question is whether fight will
be peaceful, or a loud spectacle, or civil disobedience...or civil war.
But Americans will not go quietly into the morass now
developing in Europe, most clearly in Germany.
A
MUST-READ on this subject is to be found in the October 2016 issue of
IMPRIMIS, a publication of Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Mi. (www.hillsdale.edu).
It is entitled; "WHO WE ARE AS A PEOPLE - THE SYRIAN REFUGEE QUESTION",
by Professor Edward j. Erler.
But this article goes much deeper into the national choice facing
Americans.
None of this is hyperbole. It's deadly serious.
Be aware. Be prepared.

WHAT'S IN A NAME: A NAME LIKE "SOCIAL SECURITY" A lot, when
the government is manipulating it.
Please

New Social Security Checks!
THIS IS WORTH THE FEW MINUTES IT TAKES TO READ AND DIGEST!
F.Y.I.
By changing the name of SSC contributions it gives them a means to
refute this program in the future. Its free money for the
government to spend under this guise. It is really sad to
think
that most people will just roll over and accept this as if there is
nothing that can be done, but maybe there is if we make a little noise
about our displeasure with what they have done to today’s retirees.
Subject: New SS Checks
The
Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a
*Federal Benefit Payment*? I'll be part of the one percent to forward
this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope
it will in you.
The government is now referring to our Social
Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a
benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned
income! Not
only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did
too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to
$180,000 invested in Social Security.
If
you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social
security ($375/month, including both you and your employers
contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after
40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved!
This
is your personal investment. Upon retirement, if you took out only 3%
per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month.
That's
almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of
$1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration.
(Google it it’s a fact).
And your retirement fund would last
more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can
only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in
retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk
interest-earning accounts. Instead, the folks in Washington
pulled off a bigger *Ponzi scheme* than Bernie Madoff ever did.
They
took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew)
that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a
referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them.
And
they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've
told us that the money won't support us for very much longer.
(Isn't it funny that they NEVER say this about welfare payments?)
But
is it our fault they misused our investments? And now, to add
insult to injury, they're calling it a *benefit*, as if we never worked
to earn every penny of it.
Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't mean that our investments
were a charity!
Let's
take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare.
Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government.
Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of
that 92% of our population who need it.
Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income.
----
Snopes says it's mostly
false, and that it first appeared in 2013. Truthorfiction
says it's investigating.
My
personal opinion is that it's true--the payroll tax, consisting of
15.3% of employee and self-employed income, is a legal ponzi
scheme. It uses present contributions of tax on income up to
$118,000.00 (presently, and NOT full income paid), to pay for folks who
have reached retirement age, Medicare, and the disabled.
**These
payments FAR exceed any payments to foreign governments--which, by the
way, buy influence for the US around the globe--because the federal
budget calls for about 30% spending on social security, Medicare, and
the disabled, if not more. Payments to foreign governments
are
about 1% of the budget, I think.
Yes, Congress failed to put
these funds into a true "trust fund", but the reason Social Security is
nearly insolvent is pure demographics--there are more baby boomers that
there are workers paying into the fund. That will change,
though,
when the millennials are all fully employed, because that group is even
larger than the baby boomers, who will have died off by then.
Social Security will be completely solvent at that time--of course, all
the "sky-is-falling" types fail to realize this fact.
If enough
voters want to privatize Social Security, Congress will do
it.
That issue has been around for decades, though, and Social Security is
still here.

Historical information that the
Lame Stream Media is trying to hide to this day.
The King called on the royal weather forecaster and
inquired as to the weather forecast for the next few hours.
The
weatherman assured him that there was no chance of rain in the coming
days. So the king went fishing with his wife, the queen. On the way he
met a farmer on his donkey. Upon seeing the king the farmer
said,
"Your Majesty, you should return to the palace! In just a short time I
expect a huge amount of rain to fall in this area".
The king was polite and considerate, so he replied:
"I
hold the palace meteorologist in high regard. He is an extensively
educated and experienced professional. And besides, I pay him
very
high wages. He gave me a very different forecast. I trust him."
And
the king continued on his way.
However, a short time later a
torrential rain fell from the sky. The King and Queen were totally
soaked and their entourage chuckled upon seeing them in such a shameful
condition.
Furious, the King returned to the palace and gave the
order to fire the professional. Then he summoned the farmer
and
offered him the prestigious and high paying role of royal forecaster.
The
farmer said, "Your Majesty, I do not know anything about forecasting. I
obtain my information from my donkey. If I see my donkey's ears
drooping, it means with certainty that it will rain."
So the
king instead hired the donkey. And thus began the practice of hiring
dumb asses to work in the government and occupy its highest and most
influential positions.
The practice is unbroken to this date, and the symbol of the Democrat
Party was born!

Unless
you are willing to be as unreasonable and as brutal, as your enemy, do
not engage him in a conflict -- because he will win. This old
leatherneck says it better.
Quote from a WWII veteran overhearing someone say that "You can't bomb
an ideology.":
"The hell you can't, because we did it. These Muslims are no different
than the [Imperial] Japanese.
The
Japs had their suicide bombers too. And we stopped them. What it takes
is the resolve and will to use a level of brutality and violence that
your generations can't stomach.
And until you can, this
shit won't stop. It took us on the beaches with bullets, clearing out
caves with flame throwers, and men like LeMay burning down their
cities, killing people by the tens of thousands. And then it took 2
atom bombs on top of it. Plus we had to bomb the shit out of
German cities to get them to quit fighting.
But, if that
was what it took to win, we were willing to do it. Until you are
willing to do the same...well I hope you enjoy this shit, because it
ain't going to stop!"
Back then, we had leadership, resolve, resources and determination.
Today we're afraid to hurt people's feelings....and worry about which
bathroom to pee in!!!

A Woman's Answer
Someone asked a woman how she could vote for Trump, a “misogynist, a
racist and a bigot”.
SHE ANSWERED!!
Because I used my head to research and find out what candidates are
really like, not what the media wants me to think of them.
Because Donald Trump has more women in executive and managerial
positions than any comparable company, which tells me he is not a
misogynist.
Because he pays these women the same or more than their male
counterparts, which tells me he looks for capacity and skills in
people, not color, gender or race.
Because he fought the West Palm Beach City Council to be able to open
his newly purchased club, so he could include blacks and Jews as
members, who had been banned until then. This tells me he is not a
racist.
Because he has raised wonderful children who have turned out to be
outstanding, hard working and compassionate adults. He must be doing
something right.
Because his economic plans makes sense, are conservative in nature,
and I vote based on what is best for my family, my friends and my
country.
Because everybody, the left and the right are afraid of him, the media
is trying to destroy his image, and even foreign governments are
voicing their opinions, so he must be doing something right. Clean
house maybe?
Because I want a Supreme Court that will uphold the Constitution, not
behave as minions of the administration. I have had enough
with
judges who are more like political activists than law enforcers.
Because I fear for my family’s safety if the current trend of not
confronting blatant terrorism continues – which is a threat to our way
of life.
Because I am fed up with the rampant corruption of this
administration. Accountability in government is paramount,
and as
this administration has demonstrated, it is a foreign concept to them.
Because I am fed up with the political correctness gone wild, and
because Trump is not afraid to say what everybody thinks but does not
dare to say. A thug is a thug, regardless of color, and that's it.
Because it is about time someone puts America's interests ahead of
other countries.
Because I know he recognizes and embraces America's exceptionalism,
and will not tour the World apologizing for who we are. That tells me
he is a patriot.
Because, unlike HRC, he has actually held a job, worked hard and
achieved success and employees tens of thousands of people.
And last, but not least, Because I am way more offended by what Hillary
has done...
...than by what Trump says!!!

WHEN DOES A CHARITABLE FOUNDATION BECOME A CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE?

The

for a RICO action, even now "beyond a reasonable doubt." The only
question is whether it is brought before or after the election.
Excellent. One of the best war movies I have ever seen, in
all categories. Unless "Political Correctness" infests the
Academy Awards, I believe that this is a sure winner, especially for
Gibson. And once again in a recent film, utter brutality is
successfully combined with sensitive humanity
Could it be that some of today's actors, adept at depicting anything

Trump Does The Unthinkable
Liz Crokin is an award-winning author, a seasoned journalist and an
advocate for sex crime victims. Be sure to read
below
what she wrote......
Trump Does The Unthinkable – written by Liz Crokin
As
an entertainment journalist, I’ve had the opportunity to cover Trump
for over a decade, and in all my years covering him I’ve
never
heard anything negative about the man until he announced he
was
running for president.
Keep> in mind, I got paid a lot of
money to dig up dirt on celebrities like Trump for a living so
a
scandalous story on the famous billionaire could’ve potentially sold a
lot of magazines and would’ve been a “Huge” feather
in
my cap.
Instead, I found that he doesn’t drink
alcohol or do drugs, he’s a hardworking businessman and totally devoted
to his beloved wife and children. On top of that, he’s one of the
most generous celebrities in the world with a heart filled
with
more gold than his $100 million New York penthouse.
In
2004, the first season of “The Apprentice” aired and at that time I
worked as an entertainment columnist for the “RedEye Edition
of
the Chicago Tribune” and as a freelancer for “Us Weekly”.
I had
a gut feeling that Chicago contestant, Bill Rancic, was going to win
the reality show. So I contacted him and covered
the hit
show the entire season.
I managed to score an invite to
New York for the show’s grand finale and after-party. This is
where I first met Trump and got to ask him a few questions. That year,
Rancic did win “The Apprentice”. I attended “The Apprentice”
finale the next two years in a row.
Between that and the
frequent visits Trump and his family made to Chicago during
the
construction of their Trump International Hotel &
Tower,.....
I got a chance to meet most of his family too and I’ve
had
nothing but positive experiences with them.
Since the
media has failed so miserably at reporting the
truth about
Trump, I decided to put together some of the acts
of
kindness he’s committed over three decades which
has gone
virtually unnoticed or fallen on deaf ears.
In 1986, Trump
prevented the foreclosure of Annabell Hill’s family farm after her
husband committed suicide. Trump personally phoned down to the auction
to stop the sale of her home and offered the widow money.
Trump
decided to take action after he saw Hill’s pleas for help in news
reports.
In 1988, a commercial airline refused to fly
Andrew Ten, a sick Orthodox Jewish child with a rare illness, across
the country to get medical care because he had to travel with an
elaborate life-support system. His grief stricken parents contacted
Trump for help and he didn’t hesitate to send his own plane to take the
child from Los Angeles to New York so he could get his treatment.
In
1991, 200 Marines who served in Operation Desert Storm spent time at
Camp Lejeune in North Carolina before they were scheduled to return
home to their families. However, the Marines were told that a mistake
had been made and an aircraft would not be able to take them home on
their scheduled departure date. When Trump got wind of this, he sent
his plane to make two trips from North Carolina to Miami to safely
return the Gulf War Marines to their loved ones.
In 1995, a
motorist stopped to help Trump after the limo he was traveling in got a
flat tire. Trump asked the Good Samaritan how he could repay him for
his help. All the man asked for was a bouquet of flowers for his wife.
A few weeks later Trump sent the flowers with a note that
read:
“We’ve paid off your mortgage.”
In 1996, Trump filed a lawsuit
against the city of PalmBeach, Florida accusing the town of
discriminating against his Mar-a-Lago resort club because it allowed
Jews and blacks. Abraham Foxman, who was the Anti-Defamation League
Director at the time, said Trump “put the light on Palm Beach – not on
the beauty and the glitter, but on its seamier side
of
discrimination.”
Foxman also noted that Trump’s charge had a
trickle-down effect because other clubs followed his lead and began
admitting Jews and blacks
In 2000, Maury Povich featured a
little girl named Megan who struggled with Brittle Bone
Disease
on his show and Trump happened to be watching. Trump said the
little girl’s story and positive attitude touched his heart.
So
he contacted Maury and gifted the little girl and her family with a
very generous check.
In 2008, after Jennifer Hudson’s family
members were tragically murdered in Chicago, Trump put the
Oscar-winning actress and her family up at his Windy City hotel for
free. In addition to that, Trump’s security took extra measures to
ensure Hudson and her family members were safe during such a difficult
time.
In 2013, New York bus driver Darnell Barton spotted a
woman close to the edge of a bridge staring at traffic below as he
drove by. He stopped the bus, got out and put his arm around the woman
and saved her life by convincing her to not jump. When Trump heard
about this story, he sent the hero bus driver a check simply because he
believed his good deed deserved to be rewarded.
In 2014,
Trump gave $25,000 to Sgt. Andrew Tamoressi after he spent
seven
months in a Mexican jail for accidentally crossing the US-Mexico
border. President Barack Obama couldn’t even be bothered to
make
one phone call to assist with the United States Marine’s
release;
however, Trump opened his pocketbook to help this serviceman
get
back on his feet.
In 2016, Melissa Consin Young attended a
Trump rally and tearfully thanked Trump for changing her life. She said
she proudly stood on stage with Trump as Miss Wisconsin USA
in
2005. However, years later she found herself struggling with an
incurable illness and during her darkest days she explained
that
she received a handwritten letter from Trump
telling her
she’s the “bravest woman, I know.” She said the opportunities that she
got from Trump and his organizations ultimately provided her
Mexican-American son with a full-ride to college.
Lynne
Patton, a black female executive for the Trump Organization,
released a statement in 2016 defending her boss against accusations
that he’s a racist and a bigot. She tearfully revealed how she’s
struggled with substance abuse and addiction for years.
Instead
of kicking her to the curb, she said the Trump Organization and his
entire family loyally stood by her through “immensely
difficult
times.”
Trump’s kindness knows no bounds and his
generosity has and continues to touch the lives of
people
from every sex, race and religion. When Trump sees someone in
need, he wants to help.
Two decades ago, Oprah asked Trump in
a TV interview if he’d run for president. He said: “If it got so bad, I
would never want to rule it out totally, because I
really
am tired of seeing what’s happening with this country.”
That day has come. Trump sees that America is in need and he wants to
help – how unthinkable!
