"Socialism: any of various economic and political theories or social systems based on collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods." (from Webster's New Explorer College Dictionary, 2003).

Apart from their efforts to "put lipstick on a pig", this is exactly what this administration is attempting at every opportunity, as it consciously increases the percentage of the American population on the dole in one form or another (read ObamaCare)...and as it consciously increases the number of new inhabitants in this country who often have no other recourse (read: 50,000 + newly arrived Latino children over our Southern border). Their justification for all of this is "inequality" of outcome.  But equality of outcome in society, as distinguished from equality of opportunity,  is an impossibility as witnessed throughout the world - both without and within Socialist structures.  Indeed, merely the sustained effort to produce equality of outcome robs the society of the means of achieving equality of opportunity.  A recent important article on this subject by an author who has witnessed this throughout the world "up close and personal" is: "THE WORLDVIEW THAT MAKES THE UNDERCLASS", by Anthony Daniels, printed in Imprimis, by Hillsdale.EDU, May/June 2014 - Volume 43, Number 5/6. 

In a recent Rapid Response comment, I stated my opinion that…far from worrying about and cursing the divided state of today’s electorate and its leadership…we should embrace it as a sign of involvement and energy on behalf of ourselves and our nation.  Indeed, it has always been thus from before the beginning of our national identity.  It has made us strong while providing a safety valve whose absence would have defeated us from within. 

The American colonists before 1776 and even throughout the American Revolution were certainly not of one mind.  Fully 30% of Americans during that period were and remained Loyalists, fighting against the revolutionaries and suffering severe personal consequences afterwards.  Thus the “American Revolution” could be alternatively called our First Civil War.

The Declaration of Independence supported States’ Rights, Slavery and the right of individual States to secede from the “Union”.  That “Union” was very soon a subject of severe – temporarily political and personal – conflict between the likes of Hamilton and Washington vs Jefferson and Madison on the question of a strong central government vs. an amalgamation of independent States.   Before and during the War of 1812, several New England States took actual steps to secede in order to protect their business interests.  Thus, it can be argued that the Founding Fathers created the “United States”.  I took later action to create “America”.

That action came in the form and in the laser-like determination of Abraham Lincoln.  President Lincoln did not embrace a (second?) Civil War to free the slaves. Nor was he interested in acknowledging the right of individual States to secede.  His one goal was to “preserve the Union”, or rather to establish once and for all such an actual “Union”: The United States of America”.  In the face of determined, often violent and ultimately personally lethal objection, Lincoln did whatever was necessary to achieve that end.  Some describe his actions as despotic and dictatorial. Presumably he considered that a continued loose alliance of sovereign States would ultimately devolve into the chronically sick model of the European States.  With such an analysis I entirely agree.  Please see the following book, surely iconoclastic for many: “The Real Lincoln”, by Thomas J. DiLorenzo, Three Rivers Press, New York, 2002 – 2003. 

Then came Reconstruction, the height of the Industrial Revolution, the Robber Barons, America’s forays into imperialism, our ambivalence toward both WW 1 and a decade of clear signs of danger leading up to WW 11.  During all of these times Americans were divided. But their divisions were channeled in the court of public opinion and in political activity.  This avoided a Civil War 3.

I have been broadcasting for 31 years and writing for longer than that. I do not recall ever saying on radio or in print that a president is doing lasting damage to our country. I did not like the presidencies of Jimmy Carter (the last Democrat I voted for) or Bill Clinton. Nor did I care for the “compassionate conservatism” of George W. Bush. In modern political parlance “compassionate” is a euphemism for ever-expanding government.

But I have never written or broadcast that our country was being seriously damaged by a president. So it is with great sadness that I write that President Barack Obama has done and continues to do major damage to America . The only question is whether this can ever be undone.

This is equally true domestically and internationally.
Domestically, his policies have had a grave impact on the American economy.
He has overseen the weakest recovery from a recession in modern American history.

He has mired the country in unprecedented levels of debt: about $6.5 trillion — that is 6,500 billion — in five years (this after calling his predecessor “unpatriotic” for adding nearly $5 trillion in eight years).
He has fashioned a country in which more Americans now receive government aid — means-tested, let alone non-means-tested — than work full-time.

He has no method of paying for this debt other than printing more money — thereby surreptitiously taxing everyone through inflation, including the poor he claims to be helping, and cheapening the dollar to the point that some countries are talking about another reserve currency — and saddling the next generations with enormous debts.

With his 2,500-page Affordable Care Act he has made it impossible for hundreds of thousands, soon millions, of Americans to keep their individual or employer-sponsored group health insurance; he has stymied American medical innovation with an utterly destructive tax on medical devices;and he has caused hundreds of thousands of workers to lose full-time jobs because of the health-care costs imposed by Obamacare on employers.
 
His Internal Revenue Service used its unparalleled power to stymie political dissent. No one has been held accountable.

His ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were murdered by terrorists in Benghazi , Libya .. No one has been blamed. The only blame the Obama administration has leveled was on a videomaker in California who had nothing to do with the assault.
In this president’s White House the buck stops nowhere.

Among presidents in modern American history, he has also been a uniquely divisive force. It began with his forcing Obamacare through Congress —the only major legislation in American history to be passed with no votes from the opposition party.

Though he has had a unique opportunity to do so, he has not only not helped heal racial tensions, he has exacerbated them. His intrusions into the Trayvon Martin affair (“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”) and into the confrontation between a white police officer and a black Harvard professor (the police “acted stupidly”) were unwarranted, irresponsible, demagogic, and, most of all, divisive.

He should have been reassuring black Americans that America is in fact the least racist country in the world — something he should know as well as anybody, having been raised only by whites and being the first (halfbreed) black elected the leader of a white-majority nation.

Instead, he echoed the inflammatory speech of professional race-baiters such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.
He has also divided the country by economic class, using classic Marxist language against “the rich” and “corporate profits.”

Regarding America in the world, he has been, if possible, even more damaging. The United States is at its weakest, has fewer allies, and has less military and diplomatic influence than at any time since before World War II.

One wonders if there is a remaining ally nation that trusts him. And worse, no American enemy fears him. If you are a free movement (the democratic Iranian and Syrian oppositions) or a free country ( Israel ), you have little or no reason to believe that you have a steadfast ally in the United States.

Even non-democratic allies no longer trust America . Barack Obama has alienated our most important and longest standing Arab allies, Egypt and Saudi Arabia . Both the anti–Muslim Brotherhood and the anti-Iran Arab states have lost respect for him.

And his complete withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has left that country with weekly bloodbaths.
Virtually nothing Barack Obama has done has left America or the world better since he became president. Nearly everything he has touched has been made worse.

He did, however, promise before the 2008 election that “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America .” That is the one promise he has kept. What does it take for the American people to WAKE UP?

Lt. Col Matthew Dooley, a West Point graduate and highly  decorated combat veteran,  was an instructor at the Joint Forces Staff College at theNational Defense University.

He had 19 years of service and experience, and was considered one of the most highly qualified military instructors on Radical Islam & Terrorism. He taught military students about the situations they would encounter, how to react, about Islamic culture, traditions, and explained the mindset of Islamic extremists. Passing down firsthand knowledge and experience, and teaching courses that were suggested (and approved) by theJoint Forces Staff College.

The course, "Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism", which was suggested and approved by the JointForces Staff College, caught the attention of several Islamic Groups, and they wanted to make an example of him.  They collectively wrote a letter expressing their outrage, and the Pro-Islamic Obama Administration was all too happy to assist.

The letter was passed to Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Martin Dempsey. Dempsey publicly degraded and reprimanded Dooley, and Dooley received a negative Officer Evaluation Report almost immediately (which he had aced for the past 5 years). He was relieved of teaching duties, and his career has been red-flagged “He had a brilliant career ahead of him. Now, he has been flagged.”

Richard Thompson, Thomas More Law Center "All US military Combatant Commands, Services, the National Guard Bureau, and Joint Chiefs are under Dempsey's Muslim Brotherhood-dictated order to ensure that henceforth, no US military course will ever again teach truth about Islam that the jihadist enemy finds offensive, or just too informative."

Former CIA agent Claire M. Lopez(about Lt. Col. Dooley)..." The Obama Administration has demonstrated lightning speed to dismiss military brass that does not conform to its agenda, and not surprisingly, nobody is speaking up for Lt. Col. Dooley.

Col. Dooley has now been added to the 9 generals the Obama administration has summarily dismissed for no other reason than they are great American military citizens."

IT'S A SAD DAY FOR THIS COUNTRY WHEN GOOD LOYAL MEN LIKE THIS GET THROWN UNDER THE BUS BECAUSE NOBODYHAS THE COURAGE TO STAND UP!

PAKISTAN, AFGHANISTAN, EGYPT, IRAN, LIBYA, SYRIA, UKRAINE...AND NOW IRAQ. 

Read the stories and weep.  And then get very angry. 

It's too bad that total incompetence is not an impeachable offense.

Are we all getting that way?  Are we all becoming attorneys, who see everything as "arguable"?

What happened to actually making decisions?

1) We need energy independence.  So apply the best scientific evidence and technical methods available now...and Proceed WITH FRACKING AND WITH THE PIPELINE.  Likewise, proceed with cleaning up coal or greatly reducing its use.  Coal producers are not to be considered immune from the down-sizing that has affected the manufacturing sectors. 

2) Regarding "Global Warming". The following comment has always referred to the Government.  Unfortunately, it is now increasingly referring to the whores in the Scientific Community:

THERE ARE THREE KINDS OF LIARS: LIARS; DAMNED LIARS; AND (FILL IN THE BLANK).

Meanwhile, there is enough evidence now regarding the FACT OF GLOBAL WARMING, although not regarding its main cause, to ACT.  Recognizing that we in America produce 5% (!) of the world's total green-house gases, we should do our 5% - worth to reduce our contribution, rather than crippling our national economic engine with dangerous over-reaction.

How To Create a Social State

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty - Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)

6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to - take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools

8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
