offer fresh,
quick reactions by myself to news and events of the day, day by day, in
this rapid-fire world of ours. Of course, as in military
campaigns,
a rapid response in one direction may occasionally have to be followed
by a "strategic withdrawal" in another direction. Charge that to
"the fog of war", and to the necessary flexibility any mental or
military
campaign must maintain to be effective. But the mission will
always
be the same: common sense, based upon facts and "real politick",
supported
by a visceral sense of Justice and a commitment to be pro-active.
That's all I promise.

THE
PRESIDENT.
Whether by design or otherwise, Barack Obama has weakened the country
externally and internally. And he has promoted or otherwise
produced
greater divisions among long-standing fault lines than has any other
Chief
Executive in memory.
THE
CONGRESS: HOUSE AND
SENATE. Our system for the selection, care and feeding of our
elected
Federal representatives no longer works. Both the persons and
what
happens to them when they get to Washington are the result of corrosive
election financing, rampant media politicking, coercing House and
Senate rules,
and co-opting rewards for getting and staying in office no matter
what.
The rare individual who can overcome those hurdles finds himself or
herself out
of a job very quickly.
THE
REPUBLICAN PARTY.
Divided and nearly conquered by stupid in-fighting on all sides.
You
would think that the Party has been broadly infiltrated over recent
decades by
Democratic operatives. How else to explain such great losing
positions as
"amnesty" vs. fairness and common sense, "no new taxes"
pledges regardless of circumstances, freedom for Wall Street and
corporate
polluters to do whatever they want to increase the obscene disparity of
wealth
distribution - often on the backs of the Middle Class, totally
ineffective
counters to allegations of "racism", and on and on?
THE
DEMOCRATIC PARTY. As
myself a Democrat for 30 years - until the Party nuts left me in the
1990's, I
can attest to how much the Party has abandoned any claim to legitimacy
as a
representative of average law-abiding, self-respecting, informed,
educated and
ethical Americans. Instead, they have restored the
plantation and
are subtly enslaving several generations of all colors and races.
Articulate, Arrogant and Asinine. And also totalitarian if given
half a
chance.
THE
PEOPLE. You
still have "the power", but only if you get informed and engaged and
vote. Was my grandmother right when, decades ago, she would call many
of you
"air heads"?
BLACK
PEOPLE.
Folks, you've been had...by your self-serving Black "leaders", by the
Teachers' Unions that refuse to allow your children to learn
effectively, by
the cynical politicians you follow like lemmings, and by your own lack
of
self-respect. WAKE UP! You can do a lot better than simply crying
"Racism" at every turn, thereby making yourselves the most racist and
thus the most reviled by the vast majority of fair people. As a
commentator on society said a long time ago, and with apologies to the
Creator:
"For Christ's Sake: Poor Is Poor". Do something about it...by
yourselves. And start by earning your own self-esteem and by
restoring
your family life. Everyone else is rooting for you and waiting
for you to
turn things around for yourselves.
LATINOS
AND
ASIANS. Solid citizens...or would-be citizens. Maintain
your
traditions while embracing the real America, not the stupid, amoral and
immoral
idiots portrayed on our execrable "social media".
We
frequently hear our "divisions"
decried by all manner of talking heads. Damn Right. We had
better
stay divided, and not surrender to the "America" that is being
pushed on us by people who are either ignorant, self-serving...or
traitors to
this country. You can still get your America, our America, and
the
America of the Founding Fathers and the Constitution back.
But
don't wait too long to WAKE UP.

Barack
says we need to have a conversation about race in America. Fair enough.
But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs
to be heard from, not just lectured to. This time, the Silent Majority
needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. Among them
are these:
First,
America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here
that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships,
grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian
salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity
blacks have ever known. Jeremiah Wright ought to go down on his knees
and thank God he is an American.
Second,
no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white
Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the 60's on welfare,
food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student
loans,
legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty
programs designed to bring the African-American community into the
mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in
discrimination
against white folks - with affirmative action, contract set-asides and
quotas - to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches,
foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America
have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult
education, day care, retirement and
nursing
homes for blacks. We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude??
Barack
talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to
Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how
many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out
scholarships for 'deserving' white kids? Is white America really
responsible
for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for
African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really
white America's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American
community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high
schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?
Is
that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of
the black community itself?
As
for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and
especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware
that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time,
black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?
Is
Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than
the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in
the first three years of this decade as the reverse?
We
have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the
Duke rape case and Jena. They all turned out to be hoaxes. But about
the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear
nothing.
Sorry,
Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40
trillion tax dollars ago. This needs to be passed around because, this
is a message everyone needs to hear!!
There
are NO all white universities in America, but more than 20, last count,
all black universities in America.

although not at all unique. This country is now seriously
infected with a
disease I used to attribute to racism against Black people: "Focal
Idiopathic Idiocy". And the incubator for this ultra-Left idiocy

current American Academia: our universities and many of their

Derby . But see a recent Editorial in the New York Times
entitled: "Policing
the Sport of Kings and Knaves." Cruelty to animals is always
bad. But for some reason cruelty to horses seems particularly
several
notches below humanity.

THE BUSH FAMILY DYNASTY: STILL CONTRIBUTING.
Within a few days of
each other, the brothers Bush have offered
the nation and the Republican Party two ways out of their current
political
morass. Jeb Bush has offered a sane and humane approach to
Immigration as
a substitute for the inane "amnesty" reflex of too many. And
George W. Bush, in his comments for the 50th anniversary of LBJ's civil
rights
acts, has placed the responsibility for the continued plight of our
Black
brothers squarely on Education - or the lack of it for them.
Embrace
these two problems with solutions...and both the nation and the
Republican
Party will be much better off.
Thank

My
solution:
1) Secure
the
borders, IMMEDIATELY.
2) STOP
watering down
the distinction separating 'legal' from 'illegal' (ONE
example--giving
Driver's Licenses to illegals). If you are caught driving here
illegally,
you will suffer the SAME consequences as any other driver (rather than
receiving preferential treatment as currently exists in L.A.
County. If you
injure or kill another person/s while driving illegally you will be
deported
immediately upon completion of your FULL sentence in American prison.
3) Ensure
that NOT ONE
PENNY of taxpayer money is spent on illegals for non-emergencies.
4)
Prosecute EVERY
employer who hires illegal workers (NO exceptions, not even
Farming).
Legal labor can compensate up to a point, after which (for a time) some
crops
will be lost and prices will spike. The imbalance will right
itself in
time.
With just
these 4 steps,
MILLIONS of illegals would evaporate in a matter of months, as they did
after
the Crash of '08. Legal-age citizens born to illegals will have a
choice
of whether to follow their family members to (most often) Mexico, or to
be
separated from them until such time as these family members are granted
legal
status. Or, they can send money back to Mexico to support these
family
members in a manner that more closely resembles their American
experience.
The
minor-age status of
citizens born to illegals will enable their guardians to remain here,
but under a temporary hybrid legal status that allows
them to
work to support their children until age 18. During this
time
they could begin (and hopefully complete) their citizenship
process to
avoid being a burden on either their adult children, Society, or both
as they
age.
5) Alter
the wording of
the 14th Amendment to restore its original intent rather than allow it
to
enable false claims of citizenship on all future 'anchor babies',
thereby
preventing more of the aforementioned scenario.
This is
what needs to be
done. This problem continues to fester and deepen into the tissue
of
America. We can endure a relatively low amount of pain and
reconstruction of this tissue NOW or suffer the loss of a
tremendous amount of blood and tissue through apathy,
political
correctness, and emotion-based, TOTALLY unrealistic "good"
intentions.

crisis situations in our lives at the end of the interview asked if he

make a comment on Benghazi. He thanked Fox News for keeping the
Benghazi story in
the news, since other news organizations are not. He said the Seals who
died
deserve the public knowing the truth about the whole affair. The poem
was

GIVE 'EM HELL HARRY.

Harry
Truman was a
different kind of
President. He probably made
as many, or more important
decisions regarding our
nation's history as any of the other
32 Presidents preceding
him. However, a measure of his
greatness
may rest on what
he did after he left the White
House.
The
only asset he had when
he died was the house he lived in, which was in Independence Missouri
. His wife had inherited the house from her mother and
father and other than their years in the White House, they lived
their entire lives there.
When
he retired from office
in 1952 his income was a U.S. Army pension reported to have been
$13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was paying for his
stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance'
and,
later, a retroactive
pension of $25,000 per year.
After
President Eisenhower
was inaugurated,
Harry and Bess drove home
to Missouri by themselves.
There was no Secret Service
following
them.
When
offered corporate
positions at large salaries,
he declined, stating,
"You don't want me. You
want
the office of the President,
and that doesn't belong to
me...
It belongs to the American
people and it's not for sale."
Even
later, on May 6, 1971,
when Congress was preparing
to award him the Medal of
Honor on his 87th birthday,
he refused to accept it,
writing,
"I don't consider that I
have done anything
which should be the reason
for any award,
Congressional or
otherwise."
As
president he paid for
all of his own
travel expenses and
food.
Modern
politicians have
found a new level of success in cashing in on the Presidency,
resulting in untold wealth.
Today,
too many in Congress
also have found a way to
become quite wealthy while
enjoying the fruits of their
offices. Political
offices are now for sale (ie. Illinois ).
Good
old Harry Truman was correct when he observed,
"My choices in life were
either to be a piano player
in a whore house or a
politician. And to tell the truth,
there's hardly any
difference!
We
should
have
cloned him!

Besides the regularly
occurring awards, this newspaper is a
winner. As an example, check out the Wednesday, April 30,2014
edition,
chock full of excellent stories: about abuse of painkillers; about New
London's
budget woes; about the Coast Guard's "Ancient Mariner"; about some
probing questions for "L&M executives"; about the necessary
choice between integration vs. neighborhood schools; and two articles
about NBA
owner Donald Sterling, the one by Mike Dimauro, finally getting it
right.
Given
all of this, we can forgive (and even be
amused by) the occasional schizophrenia when it comes to politics,
always
becoming more pronounced as we approach any election. Especially
because we
know the cause of it.
