The  ant works

Hard  in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and  laying up supplies for the winter. 
 

The  grasshopper

How  can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper  

Is  allowed to suffer so?

And  everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not EasyBeing Green ...'  

Occupy  the Anthill stages

House  where the news stations film the SEIU group singing, We  shall     overcome.

Has  the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper  

While  he damns the ants. The Reverend Al can not attend as he has contractual commitments to appear on his MSNBC show for which he is paid over two million dollars a year to complain that rich people do not care. 
 

President  Obama condemns  the ant

And  blames

President  Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan,  Christopher     Columbus, and the  

Pope  

For  the grasshopper's  

Plight….

The  ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number  

Of  green  bugs and,

Having  nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the  Government  Green Czar

And  given to the grasshopper .
 

The  story ends as we see the grasshopper

And  his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's  food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just  happens to be the ant's  old house,

Crumbles  around them because the grasshopper  doesn't maintain it.  
 

The  ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.    
 

The  grasshopper  is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now  abandoned, is taken

Over  by a gang of spiders  who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous   and  peaceful, neighborhood.

Bringing  the rest

THE 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S ASSASSINATION.  

Was there a conspiracy?  A conspiracy requires two or more people acting together to perform an unlawful act.  We may never know that.

But there certainly were individual persons whose acts of commission or omission, while ostensibly acting independently, have logically contributed to the conspiracy theories that arose immediately following that fateful day.

• The  poorly performed autopsy.
• The destruction of all notes relating to that autopsy by the person who performed it.
• The refusal of the government, including the Warren Commission, to release the photos taken of that autopsy.
• The refusal of Chief Justice Warren, the Chairman of the formal investigating body, to allow substantive testimony by Mrs. Kennedy.  This, and numerous other decisions by Warren , leading to a serious and prolonged division among the members of his commission, including then - inspector Arlen Spector.
• The refusal of the CIA and of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI to release its independent findings, at least in part an effort to avoid criticism for not monitoring the activities of Oswald, whom they had been following for months. 

Spread the word. How long will these radicals continue to abuse Americans patience? How long will the kool-ade drinking sheep remain uneducated and follow our 'beloved leader' to the Utopia that was once Soviet Russia and counter the sentiments of the thinking minority? (you and I, citizen) The transformation is about to be completed. And the cattle body politic is not going to realize the loss. Oh well, it was a great run. Freedom unearned is freedom soon lost. No soap box here. Read some American history and question what drove the path we now follow obsequiously. I may get more cranky on this. All it takes fior evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing. Get involved.

Why ObamaCare is a fantastic success

There are two major political parties in America. I'm a member of the naïve, stupid, and cowardly one. I'm a Republican.

How stupid is the GOP? They still don't get it.

I told them 5 years ago, 2 books ago, a national bestseller ago ("The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide"), and in hundreds of articles and commentaries, that ObamaCare was never meant to help America, or heal the sick, or lower healthcare costs, or lower the debt, or expand the economy.

The GOP needs to stop calling ObamaCare a "trainwreck." That means it's a mistake, or accident. That means it's a gigantic flop, or failure. It's NOT.

Message to the GOP: This isn't a game. This isn't tiddly-winks. This is a serious, purposeful attempt to hijack America and destroy capitalism. This is a brilliant, cynical, and purposeful attempt to damage the U.S. economy, kill jobs, and bring down capitalism. It's not a failure. It's Obama's grand success. It's not a "trainwreck," ObamaCare is a suicide attack. He wants to hurt us, to bring us to our knees, to capitulate- so we agree under duress to accept big government.

Obama's hero and mentor was Saul Alinsky -- a radical Marxist intent on destroying capitalism. Alinksky's stated advice was to call the other guy "a terrorist" to hide your own intentions. Alinsky's advice is to scream that the other guy is "ruining America," while you are the one actually plotting the destruction of America. To claim again and again in every sentence of every speech that you are "saving the middle class," while you are busy wiping out the middle class. The GOP is so stupid they can't see it. There are no mistakes here. This is a planned purposeful attack.

The tell-tale sign isn't the disastrous start to ObamaCare. Or the devastating effect the new taxes are having on the economy. Or the death of full-time jobs. Or the overwhelming debt. Or the dramatic increases in health insurance rates. Or the 70% of doctors now thinking of retiring- bringing on a healthcare crisis of unimaginable proportions. Forget all that. The real sign that this is a purposeful attack upon capitalism is how many Obama administration members and Democratic Congressmen are openly calling Tea Party Republicans and anyone who wants to stop ObamaCare "terrorists."

There's the clue. Even the clueless GOP should be able to see that. They are calling the reasonable people terrorists. These are the patriots who believe in the Constitution, the patriots who believe exactly what the Founding Fathers believed, the patriots who want to take power away from corrupt politicians who have put America $17 trillion in debt. That's because they are Saul Alinsky-ing the GOP. The people trying to purposely hurt America, capitalism, and the middle class are calling the patriots by a terrible name to fool, confuse, and distract the public. ObamaCare is a raving, rollicking, fantastic success. Stop calling it a failure. Here is what it was created to do. It is succeeding on all counts:

1. ObamaCare was intended to bring about the Marxist dream -- redistribution of wealth.

Rich people, small business owners, and the middle class are being robbed so that the money can be redistributed to poor people (who vote for Democrats). Think about it. If you're rich or middle class, you now have to pay for your own health care costs (at much higher rates) AND 40 million other people's costs too (through massive tax increases). So you're stuck paying for both bills. You are left broke. Those who get these subsidies vote for Democrats who brought them Obamacare. Brilliant.

2. ObamaCare was intended to wipe out the middle class and make them dependent on government. Think about it. Even Obama's IRS predicts that health insurance for a typical American family by 2016 will be $20,000 per year. But how would middle class Americans pay that bill and have anything left for food or housing or living? People that make $40K, or $50K, or $60K can't possibly hope to spend $20K on health insurance without becoming homeless.

Bingo. That's how you make middle class people dependent on government. That's how you make everyone addicted to government checks. Brilliant.

3. As a bonus, ObamaCare is intended to kill every decent paying job in the economy, creating only crummy, crappy, part-time jobs. Why? Just to make sure the middle class is trapped, with no way out. Just to make sure no one has the $20,000 per year to pay for health insurance, thereby guaranteeing they become wards of the state. Brilliant.

4. ObamaCare is intended to bankrupt small business, and therefore starve donations to the GOP. Think about it. Do you know a small business owner? I know hundreds of them. Their rates are being doubled, tripled and quadrupled by ObamaCare. Guess who writes 75% of the checks to Republican candidates and conservative causes? The GOP. Even if a small business owner manages to survive, he or she certainly can't write a big check to the GOP anymore. Money is the "mother's milk" of politics. Without donations, a political party ceases to exist. Bingo. That's the point of ObamaCare. Obama is bankrupting his political opposition and drying up donations to the GOP. Brilliant.

5. ObamaCare is intended to make the IRS all-powerful. It adds thousands of new IRS agents. It puts the IRS in charge of overseeing 15% of the U.S. economy. The IRS has the right, because of ObamaCare, to snoop into every aspect of your life, to go into your bank accounts, to fine you, to frighten you, to intimidate you. And Obama and his socialist cabal have access to your deepest medical secrets. By law your doctor has to ask your sexual history. That information is now in the hands of Obama and the IRS to blackmail GOP candidates into either not running, or supporting bigger government, or leaking the info and ruining your campaign. Or have you forgotten the IRS harassed, intimidated, and persecuted critics of Obama and conservative groups seeking non-profit status? Now Obama hands the IRS even more power. Big Brother rules our lives. Brilliant.

6. ObamaCare is intended to unionize 15 million healthcare workers. That produces $15 billion in new union dues. That money goes to fund Democratic candidates and socialist causes -- thereby guaranteeing Obama's friends never lose another election, and Obama's policies keep ruining capitalism and bankrupting business owners long after he's out of office.

You're on to something.  I watch O'Reilly frequently and am regularly annoyed by how much time he gives to ultra-liberals to spout their side of the story...in the interests of being "fair and balanced".  Especially last night, after watching Alan Combes (sp?) and also a Black "professor", I suddenly had a sense of "deja vu":  the time in senior year of medical school when I made the mistake of spending 3 consecutive hours interviewing a certified Schizophrenic.  I almost lost my mind trying to follow his "thought processes".
So, I think you're right.  They're not only "articulate, arrogant and asinine"; they're mentally ill.  Their condition is also very  resistant to treatment: like facts, logic, history....  And not only is genetics probably involved.  This disease may actually be contagious.

HAS HOLLYWOOD GONE MAD?  HERE'S ANOTHER IN A STRING OF VIEWABLE MOVIES:

"LAST VEGAS". Smiles, laughs, tears, a message...and what a treat to see these greats interacting.

The old adage still applies, but with much more baggage;
"Whenever I think of becoming a Democrat, they do something Stupid.
Whenever I think of becoming a Republican, they do something Greedy."
Both Parties continue to earn these opinions...in spades. 
But let's talk about the positions and platforms of a Republican Party to my liking:

• The Business World needs to be monitored...and to some extent regulated.  "Greed" is not good, at least for political gain.
• Business "welfare" is alive and well.  It must be stopped, by the business "pigs" themselves for starters.  The Stock Market is populated by Bulls, by Bears, and by Pigs!
• The "Blue Sky Laws" enacted in the 1930's, trying to establish a level playing field, must be restored and enforced.  Right now, there are two categories of players: the "insiders" and everybody else.  That is illegal.
• Banks should be  in the business of making savings, loans and investments...and NOT IN VEGAS, as has been the case since the early 1990's.
• There should be no such thing as "too big to fail".  Whatever your size, you screw up and you fail. 
• The "Military / Industrial Complex", first identified by President Eisenhower, must be tightly regulated.  
• "White Collar Crime" should receive punishments commensurate with the number of people harmed...and the degree of harm.
• There should be no limitations to election donations, so long as there is complete transparency of donor identity. The First Amendment Freedom of Speech is the most important of all of our freedoms. 
• The only "social issue" which is non-negotiable should be Abortion - from conception onward - except to save the LIFE of the mother.
• Homosexuality is, in the vast majority of cases, a biologic fact and not a choice.  Civil Unions and civil "marriage", YES.  Religious "Matrimony", NO. 
• Homosexual Adoptions, in accordance with the "best interests of the child", Yes.
• Freedom of Religion, YES.  Freedom from Religion, NO.  Atheism is its own "religion", one of many, that does not have veto power on the others.  
• Comprehensive Reform of Immigration, beginning with the "Dream Act" passage and proceeding with a structured and reasonable path toward citizenship for the illegal aliens already in this country. That is common sense and an imperative for this country's progress - and not "amnesty".
• Better control of our borders...and of that "great sucking sound" that is produced by our own business needs. 
• No international treaties that might contravene or supplant our national sovereignty or our own laws.
• "RealPolitik", not wishful thinking in our foreign relations.  Nations have interests...not "friends". 
• Pre-emptive Self-Defense.  Evil exists, currently notably in the form of Terrorism.  Deal with it. 
• Establish the future of the Arctic Circle as a prime priority for this country. 
• Re-energize the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.  We should embrace Federalism as a counterbalance to the Federal Government.
• Reduce the Federal Budget deficit by comprehensive Tax Reform (including increased taxes where appropriate), and by stimulating small business and entrepreneurship.  "No New Taxes" is unrealistic and counterproductive - politically and economically. 

SO, THE 2013 ELECTION RESULTS ARE IN.

• In New London, Ct., after 50 years of Democratic Party control: ARE WE THERE YET?  And I believe that the following comment is atributed to Charles Barkley: "POOR PEOPLE HAVE BEEN VOTING DEMOCRATIC FOR 50 YEARS...AND THEY'RE STILL POOR"  Here, the only winner among the citizens of New London - who couldn't even get off their butts to vote (~20% turnout) - is my son Adam.
• In New Jersey, Christie won big.  Good.  He's a good Demo-Republican who knows the people.  He will be a great candidate for President of the United States.  Whether he is nominated or wins is another matter.
• In Virginia, Democrat McAulliff won - thanks to the Tea Party
• The Tea Party also lost in Alabama.  Is there a trend here?

IF YOU WANT TO GET ME REALLY UPSET...

"Racism is big topic for New London candidates" (article in The Day, Oct. 30, 2013).

Racism still is alive and virulent in parts of the country. And Black "leaders" should go there to voice their concerns and to try to make a difference.  Everywhere else, as in New London, Ct., it is simply their stock-in-trade as a substitute for Denial regarding the real problems facing some Blacks everywhere. 

I addressed this in my earlier comments relating to the Travon Martin trial.  So I'll try not to repeat myself here.  

Simply put, New Londoners - including myself while on the Board of Education - addressed this issue in the late 1960's, introducing our Black community to the political process in this City.  And we were very soon very successful.  For decades, New London has been a diverse and accepting community, in and out of public life, ready to help where help is needed.  But we do not accept persistent irresponsibility, studied ignorance, boorish behavior and illegal activity.  And those who cry "Racism" at every turn when these real issues are brought up are the true racists. 

A UN committee just named abortion as a universally recognized human right and will soon begin ordering governments to legalize abortion.

We have warned our supporters for 16 years that this day would come and now it has.

Of course, this UN committee lies. There is no universal right to abortion. These types of committees lie all the time. This committee does not have the right to claim a right to kill unborn babies exists in international law. But they have.

What are we going to do about it?

First, tell you. It is vital that you tell everyone you know that this has happened. An educated global citizenship is our best defense.

Second, tell people all over the world. This story needs to be told to everyone we can reach. The Friday Fax goes to a few hundred thousand people in four languages and we will certainly tell them.

Third, tell policy makers and legislators. There needs to be official condemnation of such an act. I promise you that we will tell this tale at the highest levels of governments around the world.

How do we know such a thing happened? Because we are at the UN or working on UN issues every day of the week. There are six of us doing this work full time.

We are the early warning signs of trouble coming out of UN headquarters in New York City and elsewhere. We do this because hardly anyone else will! And we are happy doing it.

HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED THIS SCARY PARALLEL?

The nation has been mired for years in a deep economic downturn. 

The Branches of Federal Government are steeped in fundamental controversies.

The nation faces severe and expanding threats from strong and growing alien forces.

Within our borders, citizens with continuing foreign allegiances are becoming progressively more insistent in their demands for special - and foreign - consideration.

The nation is withdrawing within itself - "Fortress America" - becoming progressively more isolationist vis a vis the rest of the world.

Our Military are being systematically drawn down toward a vestige of its former - and necessary - self.

Some of our leaders are basing their hopes and "plans" on engaging these alien forces through "discussion and negotiation" - while these forces continue to grow and to make very clear their intentions for world dominance. 

Yes, this is America today.  And no, this is not what I am describing. 

The time is the late 1930's. 

America is deep in the Great Depression. 

The President is fighting the other branches of government over his attempt to "stack the Supreme Court" by expanding its membership.

Dictatorships in Germany and in Japan are invading their neighbors with massive and increasing land and naval forces.

In America, The Bund is carrying out increasingly strident demands through meetings and pronouncements, large and small, on behalf of Germany.

American isolationism and withdrawal are approaching fever pitch, despite the invasion of Poland on Sept. 1, 1939, the rape of China by the Japanese, the near destruction and defeat of our British friends on their homeland, and the spread of Fascism everywhere.

Our Military is a joke, with soldiers forced to drill with broomsticks.

Nevil Chamberlain returns from his meetings with Hitler with his announcement of "Peace in Our Time". 

To paraphrase: "He who does not know History is doomed to repeat it".  Only this time, we will not be fighting in Pearl Harbor or North Africa or Italy or Normandy...but in New England and Florida and New York and the Mid-West and the Rocky Mountains, and on our southern border and on the Pacific coast - and in our great cities...and among ourselves. 

Whatever your political affiliation is this is important!

What a MESS. WOW !

COULD IT BE...ANOTHER WORTH-WHILE MOVIE?

"The Fifth Estate".  I give it an A: in plot, in characterization and acting, in telling us what the makers had in mind, and in what they revealed without intending to.  

As I left the theater after viewing this movie, a statement made in another movie immediately came to mind:

"You want the Truth?  You can't handle the Truth"! (Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men".).
