A) In a very recent Rapid Response, I groused about the situation in Afghanistan. Now comes a long article in the WSJ entitled:
"Afghan Strategy Divides U.S. Officials" (Sept. 1-2, 2018, pA6.).
More "acide": not one word of Pakistan. What's going on here?

B) On something that I know more about:
"A Crisis - But Not Of Faith", by George Weigel (ibid, pC3). For all of its two thousand years of existence, my Church has been riven by the human failings of its members, both Clergy and Laity. But never has its God, Jesus Christ given up on it. Nor will I. Neither will I be silent. See the Category on my web site entitled "Catholic Church".
