THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Whether you are a Catholic or not, The Church stands as a Lighthouse during a storm, regardless of what port you are trying to reach.
This article reflects the ferment that the Church and its Laity (ie. "The Body of the Church") have gone through since Pope Paul VI's 1968 encyclical "Humane Vitae", mainly about non-abortifacient birth control...and which it is now going through after Pope Francis's encyclical "Amoris Laetitia", about the modern family and relationships: marriage, divorce, sexuality....
Strict Conservatives in the Church want no dialogue on these subjects...and are afraid of such dialogue. Genuine Christian leaders in the Church recognize that such dialogue, including ambiguity and personal flexibility, by Clergy and Laity alike, is not only necessary but is required of a Faith founded upon mercy and forgiveness.
So, whatever your Religion or belief structure, join the fray. Somewhere, Wisdom will be found.
